Upon seeing a genuine red demon right in front of him, Michael was then speechless for a moment before he finally snaps out of it and draws his fiery sword in a slash. Seeing through his slight opening from when Michael was shocked, the red demon then effectively parried away the former's initial attack as it then quickly countered back with a sword swing.

Upon seeing that quick counter, Michael then instantly pulled back his head barely dodging the counter swing, as it then switched the handling of his sword into a back hand position and raised to block the red demon quick follow up on his right.

Using the force of the demon's swing, Michael then gritted his teeth as he slid the surface of his sword against the demon's sword, causing spark and redirect the flow of his opponents sword to his left. After doing that he then crouched down on his knee to a perfect 90 degrees as he spun a full reverse 360 and swung his sword upwards followed by a wave of fire aura coming from his sword and rune law of destruction.

Unfortunately despite that effort, the red demon actually reacted in time from his attempted assault and dodged to the side by flying away with its wings. However despite not hitting the red demon, Michael's attack was so destructive that it instead incinerated the demonic beast wave behind the previous direction of the red demon. Nevertheless the red demon itself showed no signs of remorse for its allies as it simply licked its lips while laughing at the missed opportunity of the archangel.

Hearing the laugh Michael felt humiliated by the demon, causing him to groan in annoyance. Just by its laugh alone, it was no wonder why angels and demons never coexist to begin with. Plus the only plausible way why often times it is depicted that demons and angels coexist in some fantasies is all because of their leaders, through documents and politics, aside form that everything is a red zone.

Without waiting for any staggering response, Michael then coated himself with bright flames serving as his destructive armor and closed the gap between the red demon and himself in a single flap. Due to that action the demon itself was surprised, but due to its instincts it then blocked Michael opening slash as it hastily ran away into the skies while firing off numerous red beams from its mouth. Seemingly a tactic called kiting.

In faced of this beams, Michael nimbly dodged all of it with the use of swift maneuvering in the air, as it slowly closes it between. In just a few seconds, Michael successfully closes the gap as he swung down his sword.

Due to the unexpected turn of events, the red demon raises up its sword to block the archangel's attack, but was then blown back to the ground due to the force that Michael inhibited in his swing. In just one attack, Michael had shot down a demon out of the air.

Stretching out his hand, Michael then gathered a huge amount of fire mana in his palm as he begun to cast a destructive spell.

"Nova!!"

Compressing his attack into a single ball, he then shot off such a spell towards the demon in a blink of an eye, causing a huge explosion as destructive as a tactical bomb but as hot as a simple supernova of a star. Just by it's heat alone, it literally incinerated all the demonic beast at the range of half a kilometer and melted all of the hostiles at another half.

However with Michael's precise control over his rune law of destruction which he infused his spell, he was able to minimize the damage to the demonic beast alone and protect the town, what's more Sandalphon can use her rune law of power to literally protect the town on her own for safe keeping.

With that red demon out of the way, Michael then planned to go back to his post and once more block the demonic wave, but before he could even do such a thing, three more red demon appeared from afar as they stared menacingly towards Michael for killing their own kind. 

With a low growl, those three demons then charged towards Michael themselves.

While Michael was busy fighting off against the red demons, the demonic beast on the other hand was free to attack the city itself, causing a huge number of them to slam their huge bodies unto the wall. Unfortunately just before they could successfully entered the wall, Sandalphon then arrived in a spark of lightning chain as she rained down lightning strikes from above empowered by the rune law of destruction.

When she arrived blocking the gate way, the demonic beast then came into a halt for a moment as they all charged simultaneously towards her in one wave. Upon seeing the enthusiastic wave of demonic beast, Sandalphon simply smiled in delight as she pulled out her Greatsword and sung them down causing a huge lightning wave to swallow up the front demonic beast.

After that with the aid from her rune law of power, she manifested a lightning field unto the wall of the town, preventing the demonic beast to even get a centimeter close to it, before closing in towards the wave in a blink of an eye. with the power coursing through her veins she then launched off in a superhuman way as she slashed off her Greatsword in a swing and decapitated the six armed horned bear in front of the wave before pulling back with  an instant back jump.

Starting again from her starting point, she charged her energy unto her feet once more as she launched to the left this time and cut off 3 demonic beast in a single swing of her sword, before pulling back. Repeating the process she then launched to her right and did the same from her previous two attacks.

Using that kind of movement and tactic, Sandalphon blitzkrieg through the demonic beast as she come and go from each direction like a ricochet and prevent herself from getting surrounded. In fact through the description Sandalphon herself might have been enacting such an attack in a normal manner, but for the demonic beast point of view, she was moving so fast like a struck of lightning to the point that they wouldn't notice that she was there.

 If the demonic beast even tried to be attentive towards her, they wouldn't be able to catch her before she pulls herself back in a lightning speed. the next thing they would know is that they would be decapitated or cut in half. If recorded and measured, Sandalphon was currently moving through the terrain in a speed of 480 mile's per second, much faster than the speed of sound.

Even though her movement should have the sound of lightning strikes whenever she pass, her figure would always appear first in a flash before the sound could arrive. By the time the sound reached your ear, two to three demonic beast would have already been long dead. In that moment Sandalphon herself was unstoppable.

At the same time while fighting off against the three red demons, Michael occasionally glances towards Sandalphon direction as he saw her effectively razing down the wave of demonic beast. Even thought such a feat was admirable, such a thing would naturally come at a cost, and that is stamina and in this world mana is equal to stamina.

Despite archangels being born with a huge amount of mana pool and fast recovery of mana, their mana supply were still finite and not unlimited, thus Sandalphon's current feat isn't sustainable for long. Meaning in exchange for such power, Sandalphon is currently burning down her mana, and once she runs out, she would be as weak as a child unable to even lift a finger.

Based on how large the archangels mana pool, Michael then concluded that Sandalphon can mostly hold up the forth for 30 minutes, after that she would literally be useless. By that time Michael then simply needs to finish his business against these red demons before going back to his post.

In a single breath, he instantly ricochet between the three red demons as he killed them off in a single attack and burning down their corpses to prevent regeneration. After all if his hypothesis is correct then such demons are capable to instant regeneration, thus making the demons amicable to prolonged fight.

But as he killed off those three demons, 10 more came into his view as they attacked him from his blind spot. Luckily he was attentive to his surroundings, thus when they attacked him from that angle of location, Michael nimbly dodged all of their attacks and managed to take m3 down with a swift swing of his sword.

After burning the three additional corpses, the remaining seven demons then spat out a beam from their mouths and barraged Michael with their attacks. faced with such a barrage, Michael then  had no choice but to effectively dodge their attacks while looking for an opening from their position.

But due to him waiting the opponent's out, the red demons then charged in a formation towards him as they assaulted him in every possible direction. With such tactic Michael was then injured all over his body as he was unable to dodge the demons every strike. But since he was made out of mana through the use of the system and Asagi's magic, his body naturally didn't bleed but instead showed holes brimming with light and cracks all around it.

Upon receiving such an injury, Michael charged forth once more as he attacked the demons with his fiery swings while dodging some of their counter blows. As he swings his sword, two demons piled up together blocked his sword with their full force, as the other five attacked him from behind.

upon noticing that intention, Michael then break away from that clash as he drew his whole body back from their attack range and prepared to attack the unprepared five red demons. But when he did such a thing, the other two who had previously blocked his attack would once again hinder his swing, as they let their allies take the opening for their own counter. Due to that  Michael then had no choice  but to effectively dodged their swings by a few meters as he fired off a blast impact to blow away the surplus demons.

However despite removing at least two or three of them, the demon's tactic still never changes as they still kept it up for about 25 minutes straight. When the battle finally reached about 25 minutes, Michael then finally found a loophole in their tactics while fighting as he used it to his advantage and finished off the 7 remaining red demons.

But despite being joyful of such an occasion, a restraining magic was then casted unto him as he got bombarded by numerous huge spells right at his face, causing him to crash landed in front of the wall. Upon crash landing he naturally forced his whole body to searched for the person who attacked him as he suddenly got stupefied by the scenery above him.

Upon killing the 10 red demons, he was then met with a  thousands of them flying into the night sky, completely giving off an eerie atmosphere. If that wasn't enough Sandalphon finally reached her critical level as she ran out of stamina and knelt both legs unto the floor out of exhaustion, unable to even lift a finger.

With one archangel completely exhausted and the other completely injured all over, it would just be a matter of child's play for the demon's to overwhelm them through sheer numbers.

"This... Is not... Looking good..." said Sandalphon as she catches her breath and her field dissipates into thin air

"Tell me about it! it hasn't even been an hour and a half yet and were already down for the count" said Michael as he bravely put up a front in front of the army of demon's and demonic beast

However this time something unexpected happened as Gabriel suddenly appeared beside them and spoke out.

"You guys look like shits... anyway reinforcements have arrived!"

Under his voice, the skies above the town was suddenly blotted out by the figure of thousands of angels all battle ready, facing off the army of the demons. In that moment both sides were then stuck into a standstill.
