[Ice covered Port Town]

When night came for the second time for the archangels, both Michael and Sandalphon went to their posts as they now had a deeper reason in killing all the monster that are charging towards the town. While Michael is situated at the far open snowfield of the town, Sandalphon on the other hand is situated right in front of the town's gate as she plunged her electrified great sword right in front of her.

If what David said is true, then as demons or part of the demons, such beast has room to learn and grown. In those terms if the demonic beast considers both Michael and Sandalphon as a threat then by this night, the demonic beast would naturally adjust their ways on attacking the town, completely different from the previous night.

But if that happened then it only proves one hypothesis that they came up with during the day. If the demonic beast managed to outsmart the two archangels, then perhaps someone was indeed controlling the demonic beast. If that hypothesis is proven then the situation at hand much really be more troublesome that they had first thought.

While Michael was all alone out there, David then slowly approached Sandalphon by the gate as he puffed out a cold breath and rubbed his hand together to warm them in this cold night.

"Are you sure that you can leave your friend out there all on his own?" asks David

"Don't worry about him! he can handle himself" said Sandalphon in great confidence

"Its not like I'm doubting you or anything but... isn't he injured from a monster bite?" asked David as he clearly remembered Michael being bitten down by the demonic beast the previous night

"That's just a flesh wound" replied Sandalphon

"You call that a flesh wound? you lot are crazier than i thought" reacted David 

"... Well we never had a reason to fear death anyway" said Sandalphon

"You guys never fear death? what are you golem? Don't kid with me, everyone fear death... some might say that they are not afraid to die, but in truth they literally are scared to die, much more if that person die alone" said David

In that moment Sandalphon turned her head towards David in confusion as she said.

"Well you never understand anything about us, maybe if only you knew something about us, you would change your mind on what you claim"

"Your right! I don't know anything about you guys... All i know is that you suddenly appeared one day and helped the town in one night and hear we are now chatting with each other... But that doesn't change the fact that i know that you too no matter what, are afraid of death" insisted David

"That's a high assumption, coming from you" said Sandalphon

"Maybe... But let me ask you a question... how can you say that you are living?" asks David

With that Sandalphon was brought into a deep contemplation as she answered the question vaguely

"How can i say? maybe because i exist right here and now or maybe because I'm standing beside you right now in the amidst of this snowy hell" answered Sandalphon

"... That's just your perception of the situation, the only way to know that you are living is by fearing death... the moment you realize that your afraid of death, that is the moment you know you are living" explained David

"That's... a complicated thing..." reacted Sandalphon

"Actually its not that complicated...you will understand the moment you face death"

With that David then went away as he joined up towards the other people situated on the wall. While David leave, Sandalphon on the other hand was brought into deep contemplation as she once again reviewed their conversation

While that was happening Michael on the other hand stood alone on the open field as he brush the snow off his clothes and waited of the attack to begin. just as he begun to grow tired from waiting, he suddenly felt tremor along the ground which literally alerted him to the point of pulling out his sword.

Upon seeing that Michael had pulled out his sword, Sandalphon quickly brushed away her thoughts as she took a grip on her Greatsword and prepared for battle. Seeing her stance, David was also alerted as he begun shouting towards the remaining men on the wall.

"Everyone! to your stations!!! The monsters are coming!!!"

Hearing his shout everyone then headed for their stations as they pulled out their weapon and prepared for the enemy attack. In that moment a strong tremor then struck everyone as they all grew afraid of the possible monster that are capable of such a tremor. But despite their fear growing inside of them, not one of them backed off as they knew that they will be done for when the monster managed to bypass the wall, thus they have to stand strong.

As the tremor continued on, the one who was more pressured from all this shaking was none other than Michael himself, but as the tremor grew intense without any signs of demonic beast in front of him, he then suddenly had a grim premonition as he turned his attention below his feet and unhesitatingly plunged down his sword to the earth below.

However before he could stab the ground beneath him, a huge worm then suddenly sprung out below him as it opened up its wide mouth with an intent to swallow Michael whole. Caught by surprise Michael himself was easily swallowed up by the worm as the demonic beast itself revealed its thousands of sharp teeth towards the people of the town and roared loudly, causing everyone inside the town to cower.

"Ahhh!!! It ate the guy with a  fire sword! we're done for!"

"Were gonna die!!!"

"This cant be happening!"

As the soldiers on the wall grew fearful from the long worm towering about 24 meters in height, Sandalphon on the other hand was completely stupefied as she stared at the demonic beast which swallowed Michael as a whole.

"What the..."

But before she could finish her words, more worms sprung out from the ground about 30 of them as they all roared in unison. Upon that shattering roar which shook the snowy plain, a huge monster wave then came down from the snowy hill as they charged full force towards the town. A monster wave totaling about 700,000 in numbers, a wave that is much larger than the previous night.

Seeing that the worms are attacking first, Sandalphon charged up her purple lightning all around her body as she charged forwards and struck the with her lightning attribute coupled with the rune law power to create a lightning field which prevents the worms from submerging unto the earth. 

Seeing that the worms were completely stunned from her attack, she then rushes forward as she swung her Greatsword and cut two of the worms down towards the wave, thus obstructing their charge. Following that in a blitz of seconds she then arrived before another worm as she cuts it down in half before pushing it off to the wave, which further obstructed the charge once again.

After that she landed unto the ground as she slammed down her Greatsword while activating her rune law of power which created a huge triple shockwaves which blew a considerable number of demonic beast into the air, which is easy for her to kill all of them in her ricochet

Just like stated Sandalphon launches herself off the ground as she ricochet across the air and killed about 100 demonic beast in the air in just a few seconds. After that before she landed she then struck the ground once more as she causes a dozen purple lightning strikes to struck the wav of demonic beast, thus killings a considerable number of them.

As she landed Sandalphon then placed her Greatsword into a stance as she taunted out towards the wave of demonic beast.

"Let's do this thing!!!"

Taking a step forward, Sandalphon herself launched forward towards the forest of demonic beast as she zigzagged her way pass through the towering worms and razed the very forefront of the wave, thus taking down a dozen of them in a single powerful swing of her Greatsword.

Since she's not sure if Michael himself was out commissioned due to him getting swallowed up by one of the towering worms, Sandalphon herself had no choice but to step forward in place of Michael's stand. But since she was taking the forefront of the wave and focusing solely at the wave rushing towards her in the middle, some of the demonic beast mostly the six eyed horned wolves then quickly broke off from the wave as they charged towards the towns wall in both left and right.

Since she was pinned down on the middle unable to take a step back as a three headed horned lion pounces on her with its jaws wide open, the pack of six eyed horned wolves then took such opening as they charged towards the towns wall, naturally Sandalphon herself took notice of such turn of the events, but since she was pinned in this location, she had no choice but to watch as the demonic beast wave from both left and right broke free from the main wave.

Even though she managed to retrain the towering worms on her lightning field, she was unable to stop all of them, causing her to curse under her breath.

"Shit!"

Pushing off the three headed horned lion with just pure strength, she then quickly jumped back just in time to dodged the claw swipe from one of the reptilian demonic beast, before countering back with a side swing which bisected off the head of the reptilian demonic beast. After that she swung her Greatsword in a full 360 degrees to kill off the encircling demonic beast surrounding her, before charging forward and thrusted her Greatsword towards one of the head of the three headed horned lion.

As she pulls out her Greatsword, she then followed up by cutting off the other two heads before  jumping off the corpse and slashing her Greatsword towards the crowded demonic beast, creating a huge slash pit from the aftermath of her attack.

After landing to the ground while still being surrounded by the demonic beast , she then saw the six eyed horned wolves arriving before the wall as they slammed their own heavy bodies against it, causing cracks to appear across the wall. Even though the soldiers on the wall which consisted of the remaining residents of the town tried their best to repel the demonic beast, they were somehow unable to fully kill one of them as the demonic beast proved to be tougher than ever before.

At one point one of the six eyed horned wolves then managed to climb the wall by using its kin as a stepping stone and landed above it while crushing one of the soldiers under the weight of its paw. After that as if balancing itself out so that it wont fall, the six eyed horned wolf then growled loudly towards the soldiers on the wall  and begun attacking them by lounging his teeth  towards the shoulder or head of their body.

After all in comparison to the human's on the wall, the six eyed wolf itself is two times bigger than them, thus one bite from its jaws was enough to decapitate their heads.

Even though some of the soldiers bravely put up a front as they charged forward and attacked it with their sharp sword and spear, they somehow only managed to slightly graze the six eyed horned wolf as its hide was too tough to majorly cut it open with an ordinary sharp sword.

Due to it despite being brave, those men who primary attacked the six eyed horned wolf was immediately shred to pieces when the demonic beast turned its attention towards them. In that few moments 4 soldiers were killed on  the wall, as the demonic beast continued its rampage.

When the four soldier were killed, the demonic beast then turned its sight towards the female soldier who seemed to be scared out of wits end and begun baring its sharp teeth. Unable to stand seeing a woman die, a young boy about the age of 13, then in front of the woman as she bravely tried to shoo away the demonic beast.

But despite the boys bravery, the demonic beast simply growled nonetheless and pounced on the innocent boy without mercy and killed him in one bite. In that moment for the first time anger filled Sandalphon's thoughts.

"God damn it!!!!!!"
