Mana, among the humans of this world considered it as a supernatural force or power that may be ascribed to persons, spirits, or inanimate objects, Mana may be either good or evil, beneficial or dangerous, additionally on earth the term was first used in the 19th century in the West during debates concerning the origin of religion

It was first used to describe what apparently was interpreted to be an impersonal, amoral, supernatural power that manifested itself in extraordinary phenomena and abilities, anything distinguished from the ordinary (e.g., an uncommonly shaped stone) is so because of the mana it possesses

Mana is by no means universal; it is not even common to all of Melanesia; many of the parallels that have been adduced have been found to be specious, Mana is not impersonal It is never spoken of by itself but always in connection with powerful beings or things, Thus, mana would seem to be descriptive of the possession of power and not itself the source of power. Rather than being an impersonal power, mana is inextricably related to belief in spirits

Magic on the other hand is a concept used to describe a mode of rationality or way of thinking that looks to invisible forces to influence events, effect change in material conditions, or present the illusion of change, Practices classified as magic include divination, astrology, incantations, alchemy, sorcery, spirit mediation, and necromancy

The purpose of magic is to acquire knowledge, power, love, or wealth; to heal or ward off illness or danger; to guarantee productivity or success in an endeavor; to cause harm to an enemy; to reveal information; to induce spiritual transformation; to trick; or to entertain, the effectiveness of magic is often determined by the condition and performance of the mage, who is thought to have access to unseen forces and special knowledge of the appropriate words and actions to manipulate those forces

Phenomena associated or confused with magic include forms of mysticism, medicine, paganism, heresy, witchcraft, shamanism, Voodoos, and superstition, Magic is sometimes divided into the "high" magic of the intellectual elite, bordering on science, and the "low" magic of common folk practices. A distinction is also made between "black" magic, used for nefarious purposes, and "white" magic, ostensibly used for beneficial purposes. Although these boundaries are often unclear, magical practices have a sense of "otherness" because of the supernatural power that is believed to be channeled through the practitioner, who is a marginalized or stigmatized figure in some societies and a central one in others

At this current moment utilizing both mana and magic itself, Asagi then started gathering a huge amount of mana towards one of the bottom cannon of the kingdom as she aimed towards the direction of the northern wall of the Celestia Kingdom

Due to her own doing the whole kingdom itself was in a uproar due to the huge amount of mana gathering on one point of the kingdom, in fact every people living inside her own territory was alarmed, whether they are tourist, citizens, or just plain commoners themselves

The ground was shaking, the barrier encasing the kingdom was weakening, the huge lake was disturbed, the wind was howling, all due to the fact that Asagi was planning to shoot out one huge attack towards the northern wall

At that time inside her own throne, Asagi was then manually controlling her whole kingdom as she powered up her cannon with all of her mana in attempt to blast everything into smithereens

"Mana at full capacity, Cannon ready to fire, Point break reaching its limit, firing in... 3... 2... 1... Fire!!!!"

With a smile on her face and a gun pointing pose towards the northern wall, Asagi then finally let loose a magnified and enhanced bright blue laser towards the northern wall itself, which is equivalent in power to a catastrophic spell

[Amid Empire, Emperor's Throne]

Coincidentally a few seconds back before Asagi had completely fired off her huge laser towards the northern wall, Emperor Amos donned on his not so elegant but carefree style opened chest emperor clothes was currently instructing his numerous retainers regarding their movement on the war front on all three sides

Seemingly the side of Estia Kingdom and Orboume Kingdom was looking quite good, none of their forces were able to actually stop the movements of the soldiers of the empire, soon enough if such war goes on for about a month long, Emperor Amos will be completely assured that the two kingdoms would eventually succumbed to his ruling

Unfortunately the same couldn't be said towards the southern part of his Empire wherein lays the kingdom of Queen Celeste, not only where they forced into a standstill, they were actually quite worried to the fact of an unknown enemy that is inhabiting the enemy's air

If they ever decided to ignore such threat in the sky and head on march towards their land just like the other two scenario from the different kingdoms in both east and west, he was then sure that they will be faced with numerous uncertainty and ambushes if ever it was made into action

The risk of doing such an action was greater than the benefit that it could bring, thus they were forced into a standstill, which somehow infuriates him

"The army situated in both Estia Kingdom and Orboume Kingdom is going quite well your majesty!"

"In due time we would successfully control this two country! what greater joy!"

"Truly this is a golden age for our empire!"

"The program that his majesty had presented to his people is truly remarkable, If this continues a new era would then be born right this very instant!"

"Hahahah! for the Empire!"

As his retainers were enjoying themselves due to their momentarily success on their campaign, Emperor Amos then raised up his arm and begun to ask within his subjects from his golden throne

"This success is but momentarily! As long as we haven't shot down the Queen of the angels from the sky in our southern border, our greatest threat would always pose as a lethal threat to us! So instead of praising my achievements like this just to succumbed to my glory, Why not think of a way to get out of our stalemate from the queen of angels themselves?"

Hearing their Emperors question some of his retainers then turned to look at each other before they replied humbly

"But your achievements are not small your majesty! Such feat is worthy of our praise! If we have offended you of our small joy, then please forgive your subjects!"

"You fools!!! this feels like your me putting on the bad side here!!! I'm just simply stating a fact that should be worthy of your full attention and not just this measly joy your celebrating!!! Can not any of you imbeciles understand such notion?" roared Emperor Amos

Strucked by such a question, not one of his retainers were able to answer him at all, but before they were able to answer the Emperor's question, Emperor Amos itself suddenly jumped up from his feet as he felt a terrifying energy coming from the south

Filled with questions and confusion on what's happening at the southern border of his empire, he then clenched his fist as he roared toward an empty air, which shocked all of his retainers

"What the hell is that kind of humongous energy?!?! Where did it came from? Damn it! get me someone who knows what's happening on the southern border!!!"

With that the Emperor finally raged at this unprecedented event which he didn't expect

[Northern border of the Celeste Kingdom]

At the same time Gabriel had successfully flown quite a distance away from the wall, causing confusion towards the empire's troops, after all their enemy suddenly and strategically retreated just like that which bore confusion among their ranks

But on the other hand instead of growing confused along with their troops, the three commanders situated on the wall then suddenly felt the terrifying mana from the distance which is heading towards their direction, upon sensing the mana from afar, they finally felt threatened as Benkei, Iris, and Leon suddenly paled at the size of the attack

Compared to mere foot soldiers of the empire, all three commanders have high sensitivity to mana, due to that they then knew which attack was a threat or not and the attack heading their location was terribly a threat to them which is equivalent to a catastrophe of the world

Gritting his teeth Leon quickly pulled up his shield as he ran up towards the edges of the wall and ordered everyone to retreat behind him

"Everyone! retreat! Quickly!!! Fall back behind me!!!"

as he shouted those words at the top of his lunge, everyone then followed his command as they did what he said and took cover behind him or behind the wall

in that moment seeing everyone was taking cover behind him, he then raised up his mana into a terrifying magnitude which is almost equivalent to a master sorcerer of this world, soon enough his own mana covered the whole southern wall itself as his fierce gaze look upon the shining bright light heading their way

At the top of his lungs he then roared with all his might and projected a protective wall to protect everyone within the reach of his mana

"KAFTES PYLES!!!!!"

Placing his shield right in front of him while casting such a huge defensive spellon the whole southern wall, Leon then bravely confronted the bright mana laser which then slammed its full forced unto his defensive wall

At first strike he was slightly taken aback by the force of the attack, but that didn't deter him one bit as he stood his ground and begun reinforcing his defensive spell

"I WONT FALL!!!! HAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

As he struggled to maintai9n his stand while being grind by the power of the mana laser coming from the cannons of the azure kingdom, the angels themselves much l;ess Gabriel and Asagi inside her castle was surprised to see a sole human trying to defend the wall from an attack which could literally destroy him into nothingness

In that moment both Gabriel's respect and Asagi's respect becaem apparent as they witness the human commander of the empire trying his best to stand his ground

1 minute, 2 minute, 3 minute... Leon never let go of his shield as he felt tired all over his body, no matter what happens he wont back down from this kind of threat and held his own against it

But soon enough when 4 minutes has passed signs of deteriorations then finally formed unto Leon defensive spell as cracks formed all over it, not only that but his armor also finally gave in as it cracked and got destroyed from the force of the attack

Tiredness could be seen on his face but he never let go at all, even his shield started cracking from the force, but he still kept on standing against it

In a few seconds his upper armor finally got destroyed from the force of the attack which merely left him with nothing more than his shield to defend himself, if such a defensive weapon also got destroyed then he had no choice but to fend off the attack with just his mere body, no matter what he cant back down

At that moment tears of stress then finally poured out from his eyes as his life flashed before his eyes, at that moment he then regretted his decision to defend the wall with his whole body, but a duty is still a duty, even if he dies he would still be glad that he had successfully defended the wall from the attack of the enemy

In 5 minutes top, the lasers onslaught finally came to an end as it left the whole land but nothing but a scorching earth, at that same moment Leon's shield finally gave in as he stood on the top of the wall completely unmoving at all, in that instance Leon himself finally lost consciousness as he did his duty well and fend off the attack

but despite losing consciousness, his whole body was still kept standing as if to say that he wont back down

Seeing such a silhouette of a warrior made for defense, Gabriel finally received a telepathic order from Asagi which indicated their next move

(Asagi: "Gabriel! We failed! Full retreat")

As a sign of respect for the brave warrior who stood his ground from the heavens judgement, Asagi quickly pulled her troop in a full retreat, thus ending the battle that night

While Gabriel was issuing a retreat order towards the troops, he couldn't help but comment towards Leon's achievements in this battle as he himself retreated
