At this spare moment of time Gabriel then once more took the next step as he foregone Benkei and started pouring his focus towards Leon, after all in comparison to Benkei who only had about one spear in hand compared to Leon who had both a heavy lance and a shield, the latter was actually quite an easy pick compared to the first one

After all With Benkei only having a spear while neglecting his defense, he was actually quite nimble enough to dodge Gabriel's attack whenever he wanted to, since he has actually less weight than Leon who have to bear the burden of the weight of his shield and Lance, thus making Leon a suitable target for the archangel himself

Withy such thought in mind Gabriel then started drilling numerous attacks towards Leon who had no other choice but to defend himself with a shield, unfortunately as a commander himself, Leon isn't actually a pushover either, so with a grit of his teeth he then planted his foot on the pavement below and pushed open his shield to catch Gabriel off guard before thrusting in his lance towards it's abdomen

In that instant however Gabriel then saw completely through Leon's movement as he quickly blinked behind him using the rune law of space which was given to him by Asagi , and slashed out his moon blade at the exact moment he shifted position

However as if having eyes behind his back, Leon quickly twisted his body as he stepped forward and slamming his shield towards Gabriel's moon blades, causing a spark to erupt from both metal hitting each other

At the same time as he let his body get dragged forwards by the momentum he had established, Benkei then swiftly jumped over Leon and thrusted his spear towards Gabriel in a moments breath, thus causing the archangel himself to take considerable damage as he got stabbed on his shoulder

But before the spear could truly plunged itself deep within his flesh, Gabriel quickly shifted the space between them as he likely expanded the space in between them and put a considerable distance in the middle

On the other hand despite Gabriel getting stabbed on his shoulder, not a speck of blood could be seen on the wound, but instead a slight ripple of white mana can be seen on the wound and has been exchanged for its replacement of blood

Just like how the angels and Archangels were made from the system through mana, They would in turn revert to mana if they ever die, thus no blood could be seen smoldering the floor below

Upon seeing such a sight, both Benkei and Leon were once again reminded that they were not fighting any ordinary warrior, but instead an angel which was made out of mana

In likelihood this could be referenced towards the bible which was spoken out in genesis "You are Dust and to Dust You Shall Return", but in this scenario the principle of such word could be changed to mana in accordance to the situation of the angels and Archangels "You are Mana and to Mana you shall return"

Most likely such principle of concept can also be applied towards Asagi, but that is still unbeknownst to everyone till now since Asagi had never been injured before, in the end they are just physical manifestation of mana itself

With that Gabriel then instantly shorten the space between them in a moments notice and delivered a kick towards Benkei causing the said person himself to be thrown back and crash to the nearby wall himself, at the same time Gabriel then quickly spun around to continue his body's momentum and strikes a back hand stab towards Leon who had just inst6inctvely put up his shield in time to save himself from losing an eye

But that didn't end there at all as Gabriel then flipped his right hands' moon blade into the air and stretched out his arm to give Leon a good right hook punch, but before his fist could hit the surface of Leon's shield, he then instantly partially teleported his whole right arm below Leon's chin and deliver a surprise uppercut through that maneuver

In that short instant Leon was then stricken stunned as he got uppercutted as saw the flipped moon blade falling down right towards Gabriel retracted right hand before being slashed across his chest armor, buts since he was wearing a leather chest armor on his body, Gabriel was only then able to apply a shallow cut on Leon's chest before the latter got blown away by the force of the attack

After that Gabriel then suddenly twisted his body in a moment's notice as he then dodged the spear from Benkei who once again appeared behind his shadow

Just in time to dodge his strike, Gabriel then shifted his sight towards Benkei as he saw the glint of murderous gaze on him and clearly see every details of its spear, but nonetheless as that scene played out for just a few milliseconds, the latter himself then quickly retracted his spear as he thrusted it 10 times towards Gabriel, clearly aiming for his head

Due to that Gabriel then shifted his body once more to continuously dodge those spear thrust as he once again got sliced on his right arm indicating that Benkei's speed thrust had actually injured him

Clicking his tongue Gabriel really wanted no more but to counter right away when Benkei suddenly did a sideswing, causing his eyes to be contracted into a dot and reflexively bent backwards to dodge the sideswing that the latter had did that was aimed for his neck

But as if that wasn't enough, Benkei then quickly rotated his spear behind his back to quickly follow up a second sideswing at a lower angle, with quite a instant second interval to his first swing, because of that Gabriel once again instinctively did a roll backwards before flipping himself over

But when Gabriel was then able to get himself up, Benkei once more pursued him relentlessly as he then quickly dashed towards his location and thrusted his spear towards his head, unfortunately this time Gabriel was then prepared as he suddenly disappeared from his location and blinked besides Benkei before throwing in a slash

On the other hand Benkei suddenly got a bad premonition upon seeing Gabriel suddenly disappearing right before his eyes and immediately glanced to his side to see the said person himself preparing to deliver a fatal blow against him

Since it a happened in an instant, Benkei then couldn't retract his spear to deflect Gabriel's attack in time nor does he have enough time to dodge the attack himself since he directed his momentum forward, thus anchoring him in his place

Even though that is the case, that doesn't mean that he is out of option, thus without a second thought he quickly shifted his hold unto his spear and flattened it out across his chest just enough time to block the attack from Gabriel, before pushing himself away from him to put a distance between them

However just as Benkei was about to proceed with his next phase of movement, he suddenly lost sight of Gabriel himself, it is as if the person had actually disappeared in an instant at that short amount of time interval of their landing

No matter where he look, he couldn't seem to find any trace of the archangel himself, thus with a bad premonition disturbing his judgement, he then intentionally looked behind him to find Gabriel and the only location he hadn't checked

Just like he expected Gabriel was in fact behind him hiding in his shadow and was at the phase to delivering his strike across his back

With no way to react in time nor to defend agaisnt it, Gabriel then successfully slashed Benkei's back with his own blade, but when he tried to connect his initial attack with his second strike, the latter himself actually submerged into his shadow these completely dodging his second strike

Following his senses he then looked to his side seeing Benkei emerging from quite a distance away from him and plunged his spear into the shadow beneath him while muttering a few words of spell

In that instant black spike emerged beneath Gabriel's shadow as it pierced his body in every direction, thus catching him off guard

"3rd time!" Muttered Gabriel as he counted the number of times he got injured by a mere human

In fact he couldn't even believe himself that he actually got done in by the same human for three times now

It was as if whenever he landed a hit towards that spearman, that same spearman would always find a way to retaliate back and deliver a fatal blow agaisnt him

Sensing the mana leakage from his body due to his numerous injuries, Gabriel then gripped tightly on his moon blades, as he gritted his teeth and destroyed every shadow spikes around him with a slash

Following that he then threw his two blades towards Benkei in rotor motion and applied his Rune Law of Space towards his weapon, causing the moon blades to duplicate itself upto 30 copies all aiming towards Benkei in every direction

Seeing his dire situation, Benkei then clicked his tongue in annoyance as he pulled out his spear from the shadows and begun fighting off the moon blades that were attacking from all direction

He even used different type of spear arts just to either destroy or block those moon blades, but he can't seem to see their numbers dwindling down for some reason, it was as if the numbers stayed at the contant 30 copies

During Benkei's ordeal however Gabriel was then suddenly closing in from the distance towards the spearman himself as he suddenly teleported right infront of him, just in time to catch two rotating moon blades and slashed it down towards him

Unfortunately Benkei already saw this coming as he then proceeded to spin his spear across his arms and try to block Gabriel's attack

But before their weapons could meet, Gabriel's then suddenly partially teleported his arms once more and transport it behind Benkei's legs and slashed down his ankle, causing him to cut down some of Benkei's leg nerves and tendon, thus causing the spearman commander to ache in pain so much that he wanted to scream

But withholding his urge to scream in pain, Benkei then swung his spear fully towards Gabriel only to see the person himself rolling forward to dodge his strike and put some distance between them

Upom seeing that Benkei's eyes constricted into anger as he flipped his spear over and threw them towards Gabriel direction, unfortunately the Archangels himself was fast enough to react from that sudden strike and dodged it by thing his head to the side

But that didn't end there as Leon suddenly sprung out behind Gabriel and swung his huge lance towards him, causing a huge crash to implode upon smashing down his lance

Sadly Gabriel once more teleported away from his previous location just in time to dodge the lance attack coming from Leon, but nevertheless this once again out the three of them into a deadlock once more as all three of them are fatally injured from their battle

But before he could restart their battle, Gabriel then suddenly received the transmission from Asagi through telepathy on his head, informing of her next move to assist them

"Gabriel! Stall for time! I'll try to blast the wall down to blitz with our cannon from a distance"

Hearing such an order coming from his queen, Gabriel then had no choice but to change his momentum from attacking to stalling, causing him to mutter in dejection

"What a troublesome queen..."
