[Northern Border of Celeste Kingdom]

On that very night of the same day, while the soldiers of the Amid Empire were changing their soldiers and personnel's for the night shift along the walls of the northern border of Celeste Kingdom, a sudden event was currently happening below the walls as numerous shadows could be felt bypassing the ground on the dead of the night

Coincidentally such shadows were the soldiers of the Celeste Kingdom who were seemingly sneaking their way up into the wall by the use of magic

In all thought the plan for such operation in the night was quite simple, simply some few experienced soldiers that has both speed and flexibility would try and infiltrate the wall through the dead of night and secretly take out the guards guarding the wall one by one

After doing that they would then proceed to open up any passage ways or gates that may lead into the other side of the border or the inner rooms of the wall to make the hidden army on the plains to enter the vicinity and finally take out the remaining force that are resting and unexpecting the arrival of the enemy

All in all such an operation would only be done by the men and people of the Celeste Kingdom, while the angels themselves would wait behind the coating of clouds in the sky and only help if problem arises in such an operation

Since the army if Celeste Kingdom couldn't compare to the army of the Amid Empire in comparison to their strength and defenses, they then have no choice but to use such an underhanded tactic to win agaisnt an overwhelming enemy

With such things laid out right infront of them, soldiers on a tight black outfit which fits the environment of the night then slowly ascended the walls step by step by solidifying the mana unto the sole of their feet and arrive at the wall itself

Upon arriving they would then hurriedly try to find any guard along the wall and sneakily execute them from behind

In that moment blood had then been shed in the dead of night as the soldiers of the Celeste Kingdom takes out the soldiers of the Amid Empire that are situated on the wall

Soon after for what seems like a few minutes or so, the soldiers of the Celeste Kingdom who had successfully sneaked in then finally got rid of the soldiers along the walls and silently split into groups to try and open every possible passage the army may enter to seige the wall

Of course this thorough action also took another few minutes of the soldiers time as one of them finally reach the wheels for the gates of the wall which keeps it closed, but before he could turn the wheels and open the gate itself, a spear then suddenly pierced him from behind as a voice suddenly sound out in the darkness around them

"Looks like some cockroaches got into the wall under my nose, I really am degrading in terms of sensing intruders"

While the other companions of the pierced soldier was surprised and shocked to see their comrade getting killed out of nowhere, some of them got out of their trance and shock much earlier as they tried to finish their job and open the gates, but of course the enemy in the darkness wouldn't just sit idly and let them accomplish anything

True to that Benkei then suddenly came out from the shadows as he swung down his spear towards the soldier that was reaching out to the wheel gate, but before his weapon could even reach the said soldier, some of the soldiers comrade then jumped into the trajectory of his spear and tried their best to defend against his strike with a parry

Unfortunately Benkei saw through that soldiers intent and swiftly redirected the angle of his spear and slashed through the soldier that was trying to parry his attack, but that didn't end there

With the mindset of the soldiers that they were going to die eventually because of such an operation, they then unhesitatingly charged towards Benkei without any worries as they unsheathed their own swords and slashed it down towards his direction, and upon seeing this Benkei has then no choice but to jump backwards to avoid the onslaught of swords from the soldiers of Celeste Kingdom and deal with the attacking enemy first

While the battle was going on that small vicinity, the soldier who bravely got to the wheel and strongly turned the wheel of the gate with only his effort, then successfully had opened the gate itself which signals the army from the outside to charge towards the wall

Just like expected he the soon heard the sound of the trumpet as some of them shouted out in the darkness

"Charge!!!!"

But before that said soldier could reminiscence his success in opening the gate, a spear suddenly pierced through his heart as Benkei suddenly commented on his effort

"Not bad! You managed to open the gate at the cost of the lives of your comrades! I pretty much admire your will to succeed, unfortunately you just led your men to their deaths the moment you opened the gate"

After hearing what Benkei had said, the soldier then looked back towards his comrades who bravely tried to protect him while he try to open the gate all sprawled out unto the ground, all dead after getting slashed or pierced by a spear

But instead of regret the soldiers slowly smiled out towards Benkei, as he gave out his final words towards their kingdom's enemy

"You guys are screwed"

In that moment Benkei twitched upon hearing such words as he completely killed off the soldier with a slash his spear and looked out towards the advancing army on the south

Naturally with such force attacking the wall, all personnel and soldiers of the Amid Empire was awoken from their rest as they got up, picked up their weapons to hurry and meet with approaching enemy

At the same time the commanders of the wall naturally killed off the other intruders that managed to sneak into the wall and looked out to the vast army of the Celeste Kingdom, seemingly noticing that the army itself had really gone all out on such an attack

In a moments time the army of the Celeste Kingdom then flooded the front wall of the border as the soldiers rushes in and begun their attack against the soldiers of the Amid Empire, but with the presence of the commanders such as the swordswoman Iris, the Amid Empire soldiers slowly pushes the Army of the Celeste kingdom to it's front wall

With Iris quick, swift, and precise attacks it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she can withhold her ground even if she is fighting against 20 men of the opposing army at the same time and moment

Under her lead the Amid empire's forces slowly regained their footings from that surprise attack in the night and slowly formed a wall on the front wall which is similar to a spartan defensive formation the phalanx formation

But upon getting a stalemate of the front gate of the border wall, Iris then silently stepped back as she let the Amid Empire's soldiers take the front and defend the border wall, after all the mission given to them by the emperor was only defending this side of the border and not engaging in a full brunt assault

But as she stepped down from her position, Leon on the other hand who was currently on top of the wall then took command over the troops of the front gate as he specialize in defensive battle rather than offensive battle

"Stand your ground men!!!"

"This is where we hold them! This is where we fight! This is where they die!"

"Remember who your fighting for!!! No retreat, no surrender, we will stand and fight and die together!!! For we are the soldiers of the Empire!"

Under his charismatic words, the soldiers of the Empire fervently shouted their battle cry as they chanted the glory of the empire while while pushing back the attacking force with their shield and spears

"For the Empire! For the Emperor!"

Hearing the battle cry of the soldiers of the Empire, Leon then bravely came out from the top of the wall as he stood bravely and boldly before everyone that are fighting below, it is as if he isnt afraid of being sniped off by the enemy archers

"If that's how you truly feel then thrust those spears forward! If your spears break, then make use of your swords! if your swords break, then make use of your fist! I f your bones break, then make use of your teeth! let us show the enemies what hell looks like!"

"Oooooohhhh!!!!!"

At that another roar then erupted on the battle field as the Empire's soldiers momentum slowly but surely growing by the minute

On the other hand the soldiers of the Celeste Kingdom was slowly getting suppressed by the soldiers of the Amid Empire as they got overwhelmed from the fervor of the opposing army, despite them taking the initiative and advantage of the battle at the early stages, they were then slowly getting crushed by the enemy's pressure

In that moment the difference between the commanders of the two sides could clearly be seen, through their charisma, skills, tactic, and will of the commander that is transmitted throughout their own army, but despite such differences Commander Hob of the Celeste Kingdom, still didn't falter despite Commander Leon charismatic atmosphere

"Everyone push forward! Do not back down! we need to retrieve the border wall for our kingdom!!!"

Unsheathing his sword, Commander Hob then joined the fray as he took a horse and led the charge of the cavalry forward, thus jumping over the wall of the Phalanx formation and took some soldiers down from behind

In that time the first wall of the phalanx formation got broken through by the cavalry as commander Hob raises a battle cry and charged forwards to the other soldiers of the Amid Empire!

Seeing that the first wall of the Phalanx formation got broken into, Commander Leon then kept his calm on the situation as he issued another order towards his own army

"Stop daydreaming! form the second wall, as long as neither side retreats, the battle wouldn't be over at all!"

"Charge up the mana cannons that the Emperor personally made for us! Wait for my signal to fire!"

Under his command the soldiers of the Amid Empire along the walls then hurriedly carried out his orders as they begun the preparations of the cannons that their emperor had made for the war

After all, all they need to do is to pour a slight mana to it to activate the firing mechanism of the cannon and it works automatically on it's own and only stops if the enemy hostiles are either eliminated or out of range, while for its power source and battery, it was constantly being recharged by the emperors mana that is scattered throughout the air of the empire whenever the emperor sits on his own empire

Even thought the mechanism of such a phenomenon is quite mysterious, it is still a fact that the emperor's mana pool is literally endless

With the all the mana cannon's assembled in their own place, Commander Leon then gave out a firm order

"Open Fire!"

Under his command, the once dark night that is filled with the smell of blood, then suddenly lighted up from the cannon shot and begun bombarding the whole battlefield, thus raising the casualty count

With the rapid and continues shot from the mana cannons, even Commander Hobs himself was completely scared out of his wits end as he tried to dodge the cannon shots that is coming from the top of the wall and with such lightworks, even the angels themselves and Gabriel were completely stupefied by the firepower of the cannon's themselves

With a firm decision Gabriel then finally led the whole army of angels as they shot down from the sky and join the fray of war

Through the war cry of the angels, the battle field was swept again once more as the army of angels completely overwhelmed the forces of the Amid Empire, even the phalanx formation itself stood only a few seconds against the angels before it got broken through by the army of angels themselves

All in all the angels themselves was in completely different league than humans of the surface in terms of skill, built, and strength

While the ordinary angel warriors joined the war on the battlefield while being rained down by the mana cannons, Gabriel himself disregarded the small fries on the battlefield as he flew over towards Commander Leon who is situated over the wall

In that moment the battle between man and the angels will then ensue
