[Vast Desert Near The City of Anvil]

In this vast wasteland of sand where water nor plant ever shows up, both Ester and Asmaveth are currently running for their life as a huge sand worm is chasing them from behind with a length of 8,000 ft, which is the same size of an airport in terms of length, as for its width it is about 33ft, which is big enough in comparison to a three story building. With such a huge monster currently chasing them, it is no wonder why both of them who posses such dangerous abilities would ran away from the threat itself. After all in comparison to the huge sand worm, they are as small as an ant.

Initially they weren't attacked by such sand worm in the desert, this chase only started when a bunch of desert monsters attacked Asmaveth due to the Scorpioche being a huge prey for the monsters itself. After despite moving, the smell of a dead corpse attract any monsters who ate corpses, which led them towards Asmaveth.

Naturally a battle occur between them and for some reason Ester was also attacked since he was with them as Asmaveth's companion and captive, despite not being restrained. Since they were attacked, they naturally defended themselves to the point that they had killed the monsters and spilled their blood unto the sand.

Unfortunately unknown to them, there was a dangerous monster in that part of the desert who are attracted to blood. So the moment the blood of the monsters seeped within the sand, the sand worm, which towers over them and even the Scorpioche, then made its grand entrance by attacking the Scorpioche from below. In one feel swoop, the Scorpioche was lifted into the air, as the sand worm took this chance to bit it from below and completely destroy its protective carapace.

The moment Asmaveth felt that he cant save the Scorpioche, he then jumped down from the Scorpioche, which Ester then followed to not loose sight of his target. After all even at this point, Asmaveth is still his target.

The moment they landed, they simply watched as the sand worm completely crushed the Scorpioche with its fangs, before it threw it into the air once more, and made a huge bite which it directly swallowed the monster. Once the Scorpioche was no more, Ester realized the danger they were in, as he quickly transformed into a fast moving monster he could think, and picked up Asmaveth by its hoodie, despite the risk of being infected by its death magic.

With that until now, they are currently chased by a huge sandworm which looms from behind them.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!! It's catching up!!! Run faster!!! Hurry!!!" screamed by Asmaveth, as he pulled his legs up in order to not trip himself on the way

"Shut up! your not helping!!!" rebuted by Ester as he ran for his life

Despite transforming into the fastest creature he could think off, the momentum of the sand worm towards them is much faster, as the monster itself is slowly inching closer towards them. Due to that Asmaveth is currently panicking, causing Ester to have a hard time.

"Oh god its catching up!!! it's no use, let me be"

"Will you please shut it for 1 second?"

While they were running for their life, they have thought many things on what to do in this situation. The first is simply running away from the monster, unfortunately the only problem for the first solution is their stamina. The second solution is for them to hide on the city of anvil, however the only downside to this is the possibility for the worm to attack the city and Asmaveth's trait that anyone who is involved with him will die, due to its aura leaking out from his body.

With it, they have no choice but to keep running in hopes it will leave them alone. No matter what they needed to run to survive.

Quite far from them, Asagi is currently conversing with the person named Zaheer, as both the hero Sato and the Saintess Ban claimed to have met him and acknowledge him from last nights events. Of course this was proven that he is trustworthy, due to her using a skill to discern truth from false. However one particular comment from Azrael made her put up some guard in front of a stranger.

According to Azrael, Zaheer is a strong and dangerous individual, so keeping a good relationship with him is a must. Due to that, in order to keep an eye on this new stranger that even made Azrael to be wary of him, she then talked to him and even made him stand next to her so that both of them could talk.

"Hey! I heard that you somehow talked to Sato and Ban last night" said by Asagi

"Last night? Ah yes! i was pretty drunk that time so i cant remember much, but i do remember that i had a talk with the two youngster who are in the balcony with such mood"

"Well i heard a lot about you"

"Well if you heard it from your two companions, then it is only natural that they talked a lot about me... which is surprising since i'm really not that popular"

"You advised quite a tantamount of hint, during your conversation... which i appreciate but what's the catch? this doesn't literally benefit you"

"I know that it doesn't benefit me or somewhat, but all i could say is that those words of hint and encouragement is what that guy needed" said buy Zaheer as he points at Sato

"The hero? well based on his mental state right now, i believe that your advice really helped him a lot" said by Asagi

"Ahahahaha! did you know, i didn't even know what a hero is till last night, i kept learning new things everyday"

"I see, seriously? you don't know what a hero is?"

"Nope!"

"Well that's surprising, just what kind of backwater village did you come from?"

"Where i came from? hard to say, since i really don't want to remember that place"

"I presume that you have a horrible past in that village?"

"Something like that"

While they were talking, the whole group suddenly noticed screams coming from the other side of the dune, as they quickly rushed on top of it and saw the scene itself. When they got to the top of the dune closest to them, they saw a huge sand worm about 4 story high at the bottom of the dune slope, chasing after for what seems like a monster carrying a robe person on its mouth.

At first they were quite shocked and surprised as  they never saw such huge monster before in this vast desert. Aside from Asagi who already saw the leviathan at the northern continent and literally witnessed just how humongous the creature is, the others on the other hand is only newly experiencing such phenomenon in their lives. Followed by the fact that it is chasing a person escaping for its life, Sato's heroism was probed, followed by doubt to whether he could take down such huge monster.

However in the amidst of his hesitation, Asagi held back her archangels in making a move, as she glanced towards hero Sato and his party.

"This is your chance to further grow stronger, Sato! i want you and your party to fend off the monster and save that person escaping its pursuit, alone... there will be no help from us, so show me your determination to grow stronger"

Hearing Asagi's words, Sato then turned towards his own party, as he asked for their opinion.

"What do you guys think?" 

"No matter what you decide, I'll just go along" answered by Takahashi

"Me too" added by Fujino

"Well if you guys are going, might as well go too" said by Hino

Hearing the others opinion aside from Ban, Sato then nodded accordingly as he pulled out his sword, and led his party to subjugate the huge sand worm.

As the hero and its party are starting to move, both Ester and Asmaveth is currently in a predicament, as they were being chased by such a huge monster. What's more as if their state wasn't miserable enough, Ester suddenly tripped on the rock together with Asmaveth, as they rolled on the sand before panicking once again.

In that moment when they were losing hope, the huge sand worm was then suddenly attacked, as hero Sato and his party made a move, and turn everything around to save both Ester and Asmaveth.

In one fell swoop of energized attack, the mana slash then crashed unto the sides of the sand worm, causing the monster itself to switch its attention towards it attacker. But instead of fear reflecting in the attackers eyes, their eyes were instead full of motivation and determination, as five of them charged towards a huge monster.

"I got its attention! Attack!!!"

As hero Sato said that, Fujino then engraved multiple buffs on Takahashi, Which then gave a massive boost to him and giving it a chance to actually hurt the huge sand worm itself. After getting multiple buffs from Fujino, Takahashi then ran towards the Sand worm as he unsheathes his sword before swinging it towards the monsters itself.

"Criss cross!!!"

Attacking the sand worm in a rapid manner, Takahashi tried to point out the monster's weak point, before noticing that its whole body is literally too hard for even his own sword to pierce through. With it he then fell back for a little, as hero Sato swoop in and slammed his sword towards the huge sand worm.

"Aura burst!!!"

After releasing its own aura, hero Sato then continuously slammed his aura unto unto the sand worm, as he even tried his best to deal significant damage unto its body. However his attacks simply annoyed the monster as it screech and attacked with a dive attack of its billions of teeth on its mouth and its fangs at its forefront.

Upon Seeing this, Ban quickly waved her staff as she casted a spell which aided Sato and helped him in dealing against such monster.

"Holy Guardian!!!"

Summoning an avatar of light to protect Sato, it then stopped the monster in its tracks with its huge shield, thus giving hero Sato to recover and  try again to subjugate the monster. As an assistance to that, Ban casted another spell as she quickly restrained the sand worms movement.

"Chains of light!!!"

In an instant multiple chains shot out from the ground, as it wrapped around the sand worm and literally restrained the monster on its place itself.

Using this chance, Takahashi and Hino took the charge, as one pulled out his sword, while the other pulled out its dagger. Followed by the buffs coming from Fujino, they then ran up on the chains, as they got close to the sand worm and begun pouring out attacks.

"X strike!!!"

"Fatality!!!"

However despite doing this, they still weren't able to break through its defense, as the sand worm struggled even more  and threw both of the, off its body.

As both of then fell off, Hero Sato noticed the mouth of the sand worm as he wondered whether its soft spot was its mouth rather than the squishy area of its body. With that thought in mind, he then send an aura slash heading towards the sand worms mouth. Just like what it expected, the sand worms closed its mouth upon sensing danger within the corner.

Once it successfully defended against the attack, Sato then confirmed where the energy was taken,  as he charged up once more in hopes of getting through its target, unfortunately it wasn't that easy at all. 

The moment it sensed that Sato was charging up for another attack as its weak spot, the sand worms then closed their mouth, as it raises a smokescreen, before burying itself unto the ground.

When Hero Sato realized their intent and try to stop the monster from escaping, he then tried to catch up and somewhat injure  it before it could successfully escape their grasp. Unfortunately the smokescreen that the sand worms has done, literally obstructed everyone's view inside, giving it a chance to counter attack.

In just one distraction, it then smacked the hero away, before using this cover to escape it while underground.

Because of that, he weren't able to stop the sand worm, which resulted in its complete escape and leaving everyone in the dust.

Just like that, the sand worm totally escaped and leaving everyone in shock.
