[Empty Town]

"Your majesty! behind me!"

The moment the menacing aura of death stared back at them with bloodied eyes, both Jophiel and Azrael sprung up into action, as they shielded Asagi with their whole body. At the same time when the hero and his classmates noticed the archangels reaction towards their town, they were confused for a bit and at the same time wary of their surroundings.

Rushing close to Asagi, Hero Sato pulled out his sword, as he came close to her while also putting up his guard.

"Your majesty! what's wrong?"

The moment Hero Sato said those words, the deadly aura that was only visible to the archangels then begun to go on a rampage as they enact their hatred towards the living inside the town. they're hatred was so strong that it became their binding shackle in this town which then turned into negative energy which caused them top hunt the town itself. At this stage of vengeful ghost, all reasons are thrown out of the window, as the vengeful ghosts will do anything to kill all the living inside its territory. A kill or be killed situation.

"Raise your arms!!! Things about to get messy"

Before Hero Sato could ask what she meant by her words, a group of his classmates were blown away by something paranormal as they all crashed hard either to the ground of to the walls and fences of the town. After that first attack, a volley of debris came from the right as continuous explosions rung out an d the hero and his classmates were all scattered out all over the area. Upon seeing this, hero Sato realized that they were currently being under attack by something, as he reminded his classmates.

"Everyone! to your formation"

Of course this was met by his classmates constant questions as they don't know what the hell just happened.

"What was that?"

"I just got fling out of nowhere!!! are we being under attacked?"

"Sato! what is happening?"

In response to that Hero Sato raised his voice as he called out towards everyone in the area.

"I don't know! but were being under attacked by something we cant see"

"Don't tell me it's ghosts?" asked by Amaya a thief class fighter

"Ghost? Oh no! I hate ghost! i don't do well with ghost" said by Fujino a bard class fighter

As the whole class came into panic, Azrael suddenly moved, as he blitz through the field and slashed down a shadowy figure that was standing in the middle of everyone in the area.

"I missed? no better yet, i didn't hit anything at all"

As Azrael thought of this words, the shadowy figure, suddenly smiled, as it showed its bare teeth and hollowed eyes towards the archangel of death. Of course while Azrael was unfazed by this paranormal situations considering that he fears no one, the hero and his classmates were different as they still harbor humanely feelings which caused them to tense up and experience fear.

Followed by a sharp scream from one of the female classmates, the rest of the class quickly jumped back as they took a distance away from the ghost like figure and somewhat bewildered by its sudden appearance. After all aside from the archangels who suddenly moved, none of them were able to sense the enemy among their midst at all. If it weren't of Azrael blitzing towards the center of the hero's formation, a lot of them would have either been injured or killed without knowing why and how it happened.

"What the hell is that?"

"A ghost! its an actual ghost!"

"And they say that the dead cant hurt you! i call bullshit!"

As the shadowy figure which is an accumulation of all the vengeful spirit taking form appeared before everyone, it then suddenly made its move before Azrael could do anything, as a massive deathly aura washed all  over the town and somewhat submerged everyone into a pressure which caused some of the low class fighter to sweat and be affected with fear ailments.

But that didn't hinder Azrael at all as he swung his scythe upwards and cut the shadowy figure in half.

Just as Azrael was about to confirm of the elimination of the target, the shadowy figure smiled eerily once more as it patched up itself in a matter of nanoseconds and released a sharp scream which even caused Azrael to be slightly affected in his hearing. While Azrael was slightly fazed by that attack, some of the hero's classmates fell top the ground as their held their damaged ears or stunned from the effect of the scream.

"Someone! get the healer moving!!!"

Under Hero Sato's order, the saint, priestess, and priest who are immune to the spirits magic to some degree, then made their move as they cast their spells and begun to heal everyone on the field.

As the healer class unit begun to make their move, Jophiel together with Asagi engaged in combat against such an evil spirit as they plan to take it down immediately before anyone else gets hurt. With Asagi applying purification spell on Jophiel's gauntlet, and the archangel itself sending out a quick straight punch, a huge explosion rung out in the area, as rocks and debris flew all over the place.

However when the dust settles, there was no sign of the shadowy figure at all, which caused Jophiel to be slightly taken aback and looked back towards Asagi in surprise. Just like he sensed through his blindfold, the shadowy figure suddenly blinked behind  Asagi and attacked her with its sharp claws made up of hatred. But before this claws could get to her, hero Sato quickly intervenes and blocked the attack with his sword, followed by Asagi's quick counter by sending projectiles towards the enemy.

"Sphere of light!"

But her attack simply passed through the shadowy figure, as it attacked them with a shockwave, forcing Asagi to take on the defensive and erect a barrier in between them. The moment she defended herself, the shadowy figure distanced itself once more as it smiled at the mess that it had made.

In that time frame, Asagi then racked her brain as she analyzed her opponent and gathered bits of information about it just from its presence alone. A mass of deadly spirit made into one, powerful scream which affects the soul, sharp talons, and evil aura that is being emitted out of its body. With all of this characteristics, there was only one type of monster that have all of these traits.

"That's a banshee!"

Banshee, ("woman of the fairies") supernatural being in Irish and other Celtic folklore on earth whose mournful "keening," or wailing screaming or lamentation, at night was believed to foretell the death of a member of the family of the person who heard the spirit. In this case however, the banshee's appearance was formed from the uniting of all the vengeful souls in the area into one being and giving form to a malevolent being that can't be killed with ordinary weapon.

The reason why Azrael can't kill the banshee with his slashes, was because Azrael has not embedded his weapon with his own trait and rune law which spells death to any living being under its personal category. In normal terms any being who already died is categorized as dead, however Azrael himself have a different meaning of death in his vocabulary.

Death itself is inevitable, absolute, and can never be escaped situation. Meaning for him, anything that still stays and exist in the plane surface of the world is considered alive and the only death he recognize are souls that had already left the world and passed on unto the afterlife.

With that before the Banshee could even pull up a counter towards Asagi and Hero Sato, Azrael then quickly blinked behind the banshee, as he imbued his trait unto his death scythe and slashed it towards the monster itself. For the first time, the banshee felt the coldness of death brushed past its face. So without even turning back or using any skill to deter the attack, the banshee quickly submerged into its spectral state as it avoided Azrael's slash and appear on one of the rooftops near the town's Center.

But the moment the Banshee stepped away from them, Jophiel then suddenly blasted the roof from below, as he chased after the death spirit and launched a strike embedded with his rune law that affects the soul. In that moment, after sensing danger from another archangel, the banshee entered its spectral state once more as it made its escape and ran towards the alley of the town.

However be that as it may, the other classmates of the hero lay in wait for the banshee as they sprung up into action and launched various attack towards the monster. Unfortunately aside from the priest, saint, priestess, and black mage's attacks, the rest of the volley wouldn't be able to affect the banshee at all, as the monster simply focused in dodging the attacks which can affect it and ignored the other insignificant attacks.

After that it then released a scream so loud, that it sent a huge sonic shockwave towards the hero's classmate, causing  a couple of them to be blown back by the attack. As if that wasn't enough, it then spread its deathly aura starting from the destroyed alley and begun generating an endless amount of undead unto the land.

"Undead creatures!!! destroy all of them!!!"

The undead are beings in mythology, legend, or fiction that are deceased but behave as if alive. Most commonly the term refers to corporeal forms of formerly alive humans, such as mummies, vampires, and zombies, which have been reanimated by supernatural means, technology, or disease. In this case the undead are mixed of zombies and skeletons that rose up from the ground.

As the dead filled the town, various battles sprung up from all over the area, as the hero and his classmates together with the angels are stuck in battling the army of the dead. Even though the army of the undead may seem invincible due to its unending amount of army  which doesn't fear death and somewhat unlimited, it has its own sole weakness that anyone can exploit. The only way to stop the army of the dead is to kill its summoner or the being who caused the rise of the dead. In this situation the root cause of the army of the dead is the banshee itself.

Knowing this fact Azrael didn't spent any time fighting against the undead creatures on the land as he bypassed all of them by flying into the air, and attacked the banshee from above. Realizing this the banshee quickly used its poltergeist skills as he made the building beside it come alive and attacked Azrael in mid flight. But such an attempt was futile, as Azrael sliced the building in half in just a single swing of his scythe.

But that slight delay in his attack was enough for the banshee to move away from his previous spot and summoned ten undead skeleton to surround Azrael who just landed unto his previous spot. Under its command, the banshee ordered its undead skeleton to attack Azrael simultaneously, as they all moved at the same time and attacked from all sides.

Unfortunately this too was easily felled, as all the undead skeleton around him was destroyed by his scythe and sharp wings which almost looks like blades, which gave him space to launch himself forward and cut down any undead creature that tried to hinder its path. Azrael was just simply unstoppable as he easily demolished all the undead that was sent his way. If the Albino demon doesn't stood a chance against him, then naturally a banshee of this level never stood a chance against him from the very beginning. it unique trait just prolonged its life when encountering the angel of death.

In that moment just when Azrael was about to slice down the disgusting sprit that plague this town, an huge amount of pure mana suddenly appeared in the town as the pure mana converged unto Hero Sato as he finally used his hero trait which he never used before. Faced with such terrifying aura of death, Sato slightly uncovered his hidden strength as a hero as the pure mana of the world moved under his command. In this very moment his status as a hero was fully established as he put his fate into being set in stone. From this moment on he will experience what it meant to be a hero and what had to be sacrificed in order to fully be recognized of such title.

With such power gathering towards him and unto his sword, he then slashed the sword downwards unto the the banshee as the area was plunged into white light  and everything turned blank.
