[City of Avalon]

Getting crushed in between two objects, Asagi silently screamed in pain, as she felt her whole body going number from that one attack alone. In fact this is the first time she got hurt in this world to such a degree. Taking note, that the ones who had fought so far all this time in all the dangerous operation is her clone and not her real body. Throughout her experience in this world, she had never been injured seriously unlike this very moment, she was always being protected by people who care for her.

If danger were to arose, her archangels would be the first one to step in to protect her from harm. In this very moment, at the time that the majority of her archangels are down, Asagi was then left alone to fight against the Cryophoenix all on her own.

Now that she felt such pain coursing all throughout her body, she then begun to wonder if this is what everyone felt if they fought head -on against an enemy.

She had witnessed numerous battles and life endangerment through the eyes of her clone and her experience as a gamer back in her original world, but never once she did experience all on her own just how painful a battle could be. What she is using now is her real body not her clone, so the pain that she can feel is so existent unlike the non-existent pain she felt when her clone got attacked.

Gritting her teeth to endure the pain, she then saw the Cryophoenix raising its beak into the air, as it tried to bit off her head by plunging down its beak towards her. In order to defend herself, Asagi then used Gae Bulg to fend off the beak coming her way, as she tried her hardest to parry the attack. Since Gae Bulg is manifested to this world with the system as the mediator, its durability alone  is incomparable to anything else recorded in history. With that Asagi had no problem having her weapon destroyed just from clashing against a powerful enemy, the only problem she had is how to escape this situation and get back the advantage to their side.

After Parrying off the beak for the 10th time, Asagi then Quickly casted a spell on her palm as bright light suddenly shone throughout the area and temporarily blind anyone who had looked directly towards the light spell in her palm.

"Illuminate!!!"

Acting as a type similar to as flashbang, the Cryophoenix screech in pain as it flew away from her by a few meters, and tired to mitigate the effect of blindness by its own magic. But during that interval wherein the Cryophoenix was blinded, Asagi who had closed her eyes at the right time, then opened her eyes once more ,as she threw the divine chains towards the Cryophoenix in an attempt to pull it down to the ground.

Throwing Gleipnir towards the Cryophoenix, the chains itself then suddenly seemed to come top life on its own, as it quickly elongated the chains itself all on its own and begun  coiling around the huge monster like an enchanted weapon with a mind of its own. As soon as the chains were all over the Cryophoenix, Asagi then pulled unto the chains, as the divine chains itself begun tightening up its coil and forcefully dragging the huge monster towards Asagi.

With the Cryophoenix in its grasp, Asagi then forcefully dragged her heavy body to fly down to the ground and start pulling unto the chains, in an attempt to ground the Cryophoenix. Naturally this was met with quite a resistance as the Cryophoenix tried to fight back despite being blinded by shooting its own freezing magic all over the place. In order to defend to such an attack, Asagi quickly erected out a barrier around herself, while trying to pull down the Cryophoenix with only her own brute strength.

However due to her body's constitution, Asagi had literally little to no muscles meant for strengthen at all. Her body was soft and supple as a cloud, a type of body and skin that all females would envy, she was like the perfect example of true beauty without make up, plus she had quite a plump body. Her body was not made for strength, but rather for beauty and majesty, with that her effort to pull down the Cryophoenix was little to non-existent.

In that moment as she struggled to pull the Cryophoenix down, numerous golems from inside the wall suddenly rushed out and helped her pull down the chains, as the alchemist in the city tried to help her by lending the strength of their own golem to pull down the huge monster. Alongside it the mages begun casting gravity spell unto the Cryophoenix one after another as they realized Asagi's intent and tried to help her as best as they can

She was quite surprised by their help, but since they were aiding her in grounding the Cryophoenix, she then felt an immense gratitude towards them from such an act alone.

"The angels plan to ground the monster! help her!"

"Mages! cast your grounding spells now!!!"

"Alchemist command the golems to aid our ally in pulling down the Cryophoenix!"

"As for the others who only have offensive capabilities! try to shoot down that monster while we restrain it"

With those words coming from the people on the wall, the whole city then begun to mobilize as they poured everything they have against the Cryophoenix who was currently restrained by her and the golems. Alongside it, Amos also begun to rapidly barrage the Cryophoenix with all he has as his cannons fired non-stop till the point that it overheated.

In that very moment at the corner of her eyes, Leon suddenly jumped over the wall , in such great height as he crashed down on the back of the Cryophoenix and begun crashing down his skill unto its body with his spear. 

"Impact!!!"

"Knights rage!!!"

"Piercing Lance!!!"

As numerous attacks landed on its body, the Cryophoenix cried out in pain as it tried to climb up into the air, only to be smacked down on its head, as one of the archangels managed to recover quickly and rejoined the fight

"I'm not done with you dumb bird!"

With those violent words, Sandalphon bared her teeth, as she held her great sword and begun smacking down the head of the Cryophoenix with an attack imbued with purple lightning and rune law of power one after another.

In that moment when  the Cryophoenix got smacked multiple times by Sandalphon, it then soon regained its sight, as it glared at the small creatures trying offend it, as it begun spraying out attack spells all over the place in an attempt to lessen the pressure unto it. With such degree oif retaliation, the barrier around the city once more wavered, as some golems outside the city wall got destroyed, and Leon got thrown off the body of the Cryophoenix.

"Leon!"

As Amos cried out the name of his loyal knight who is currently falling in the air, Gabriel suddenly swept in and caught his hand, as he prevented Leon's fall by saving his life in midair. On the other hand when Leon saw Gabriel, he then remembered the time when they were at each other's throat, as he somehow felt bitter from having that very person save his life.

"Looks like I-"

"Not one word from you!"

"You know i cant do that! communication is a must in this situation"

"...."

As for Asagi, due to the mass of the golems, she was then protected from that attack, as she was somewhat left alone with some few remaining golems who wasn't destroyed, pulling down the chains. In that moment Uriel, and Ariel landed behind her, as they held unto the chains and pulled alongside her. Of course alongside their help, there was a complaint from Ariel after realizing that Asagi hadn't kept her promise.

"Your majesty! Care to explain what are you doing? Didn't you promise me not to put yourself in danger?" asked by Ariel

"Ariel! I don't think this is that time!" said by Asagi as she struggled to pull the chains

"I don't care if this is the right time or not! you lied to me! You actually lied to me!"

"I... I can explain!"

"Yes you should! I feel betrayed"

"Are you sulking? seriously?"

"No!" sulked by Ariel

In that moment while Ariel was complaining about Asagi's lie, Uriel noticed the condition of Asagi's legs, as he tired to voice out his concern. However as if reading his thoughts, Asagi simply motioned to him with her eyes to not say anything in order to prevent further chaos within their side. Even though not fatal, such a degree of injury could not be ignored at all, after all with Asagi's lower body being squished in between two objects, it is not to exaggerated to say that she may suffer a bit of walking impairment and even lose her legs itself. That is the degree of injury that Asagi had sustained in her lower body.

"Your majesty!" voiced out by Uriel in a worried tone

"I'm fine! better yet! i need all the help i can get in order to ground this Cryophoenix down"

Hearing Asagi's words, Uriel then struggled to keep his mouth shut in accordance to his queen's wishes, as he looked worriedly at the condition of her legs. But since Asagi is seemingly trying to hide it for some reason in this current moment, he had no right to intervene her decision despite the worry he is feeling inside. With it, Uriel then  nodded accordingly as he also put his might and pulled unto the chains.

"Uriel! use your rune law to further drag the Cryophoenix to the ground! Ariel! use your own ru8ne law to somewhat pull down the Cryophoenix

"I cant do such a thing! your majesty! there's no signs of plant in the area, meaning i cant use my rune law of transmigration in an area devoid of life" reasoned by Ariel

"I can do it instead!" claimed by Uriel

As Uriel said this words while Ariel was helpless, he then takes a huge breath in, as he then uttered a single word of command , imbued with rune law of wisdom.

"Pressure"

In that very moment just as the Cryophoenix was about to climb up higher into the air, he was then suddenly smacked with an even heavier pressure than the gravity spell, as it felt its whole body becoming heavier and the atmosphere around it, becoming frozen from the energy alone. In fact it cant even screech out a single voice due to the pressure itself. 

With the pressure weighing it down, alongside the gravity spell, the Cryophoenix then fell to the ground, head first, as it crashed on the ground's surface causing tremor to erupt to the surrounding area.

The moment the Cryophoenix crashed, Sandalphon, Leon, the other angels, the mages, the alchemist, the towers, the magic cannons, then begun to attack the downed monster once more as they submerged the Cryophoenix with explosion one after another till its cries could no longer be heard anymore.

Even both Leon and Sandalphon were rampaging all over its hard body as they landed attack upon attacks unto it, in hopes one of their attacks could pierce through its thick armor. 

Synchronizing their move into one set, Leon took the charge as he cleared the surface armor of the Cryophoenix with his destructive lance, until the point his whole body was exhausted from the continuous outpour of skills. Once Leon had done its job, Sandalphon then rise up into the air, as she gathered her purple lightning unto her Greatsword and imbued her next attack with rune law of power.

After charging up, she then drop down in an immense speed from the air, as she swung down her Greatsword and caused a massive lightning cross cut  to manifest and struck down the Cryophoenix, completely disregarding its remaining defenses.

For the first time, the Cryophoenix cried out in pain, as it actually felt the blow that Sandalphon had struck down, and even feel the pain coursing throughout its body. However despite that, the fire in its eyes didn't dimmed out, as the Cryophoenix begun gathering mana unto its heart, which caused a pulsive wave to erupt in everyone's ear and disrupt all of their attacks.

The beating heart that they are currently hearing is not that loud nor too quite, in fact they can only spiritually and mentally hear it, any ordinary person cant hear such noise ringing in their ear, but for the people who have affinity to mana or anything that is related, they can literally hear the beating heart, which disrupts their spells and even begun beating hard in their ear.

Not long after the beating heart, begun to inflict pain in everyone's ears. as anyone who heard that beating pulse fell to the ground as they clutched their ears in pain. Even the angels weren't spared as Sandalphon dropped her weapon, as she clutched her ears in pain.

"Gah! make it stop!"

At the same time Asagi fell on her knee's as she dropped her hold on the Gleipnir and Gae bulg and begun clutching her ear in pain, the same could be said towards Ariel and Uriel who were currently in a similar state like the others.

As the beating sound goes on, a different type of mana gathered in the Cryophoenix body, as the air suddenly turned cold and the temperature in the surrounding begun to drastically crop to a freezing degree, much colder than before.

In that moment, Asagi felt that something was amiss, as she tried to stand up and prepare a barrier for everyone to use in this situation. But before she could even gather her wits to erect a barrier, the mana gathering towards the Cryophoenix suddenly stopped, as it then begun to explode which covered the whole city in a blinding white light.

The last thing that Asagi could felt at the very moment, was cold, an empty freezing coldness of tundra.
