[City of Avalon]

Two days has passed since then, Asagi is currently wasting her time to tour all around the city made by the mages of the north themselves. Just like she expected, no matter where she goes, the city is filled to the brim of people who is aligned in search of the root of magic. During her idle stay Amos splits off from Asagi as he plans to do something else in the city rather than simply sightseeing.

Based on the expression on his face, one could even guess that something piqued Amos curiosity in this city, causing him to act in such a way. With that, bringing Leon along with him, the pair then left the group as they headed deeper into the city.

Speaking of obsession, since every single person here is like competing to reach the deep knowledge of the root of magic, Asagi herself also became curious of such term to the point that she visited the grand library of the city and searched the description pertaining the obsession of everyone in this city.

Based on her what she learns, root of magic or 'The root' pertains to a type of origin wherein magic itself branches out. It is the answer to everything and the cause of everything that happens in this world. Since the root is the origin of magic, everyone believed that such type of magic is the most powerful and the most complex magic there is and anyone who could master such magic, can be considered on the level of a god.

Aside from the benefit of divinity form such power, longevity is what all mages are after which is only second to power and above the importance of knowledge. For people who stays in this city, they all had the knowledge they can get just by staying in this city itself, they aren't lacking in that aspect. The only thing that hinders the mages from reaching the root is their lifespan.

Due to the fact that a human life is short and its not long enough to reach the answer to the root, most of the mages left notes and drawings regarding their research of the root with the thought of passing down their knowledge towards the next generation in case they kick the bucket in one of this days. based on the record that was found regarding the history of this city, the city itself can almost be considered as an ancient city that had already existed for about 2,000 years after the great calamity, basically year 2,000 agc

The great calamity itself is the event which literally shook the world due to the sudden change in had undergone within a year. During that year many people had died due to the calamity that shrouded the world. That was the year where the age of gods had ended and the start of the age of man. It was also depicted that the all the gods during that calamity had died which brought us today where there are no gods in this world.

From the year 0 agc up to this day the people spent their time finding the root that had once had existed in this world, the ultimate form of magic.

Putting everything that was said aside, the thing that made Asagi became curious even more towards this city, is the fact that there aren't only mages in this city. There were also scholars merchant, and some minor labor force that kept the city functioning, but aside from them there is also another great force in this city aside from the mages, the alchemist.

 The alchemist are people who practice alchemy, a mix of magic and science and plans to improve the lifestyle of everyone using such  branch of knowledge. Alchemy is an ancient branch of natural philosophy, a philosophical and protoscientific tradition that was historically practiced in China, India, the Muslim world, and Europe back on earth.

But in accordance to the goal, the alchemist people had another goal in mind aside from the root and that is the search for the philosopher's stone. The philosopher's stone is a mythical substance supposed to change any metal into gold or silver and, according to some, to cure all diseases and prolong life indefinitely. Its discovery was the supreme object of alchemy. The philosopher's stone was the central symbol of the mystical terminology of alchemy, symbolizing perfection at its finest, enlightenment, and heavenly bliss. Efforts to discover the philosopher's stone were known as the Magnum Opus

In this case, the search for the philosopher's stone and the search for the root are held at the same level of importance towards everyone.

Just by skimming through the knowledge she learns all about this city, Asagi couldn't help but be surprised all over again as this city itself held a lot of secret in of itself. The mystery of this place just doesn't end as the city of mages, but rather the underlying purpose on why this city was made.

After learning all of those knowledge just from visiting the great library of the city, Asagi then concluded her purpose in this establishment as she together with Michael and Ariel then left the great library and out towards the capital city of the city.

Once she got out of the great library, Asagi then stretched out her arms into the sky like a naïve girl without etiquette, as she breaths in the cold air and reminisces the beauty of the city itself. With that she then finished in accomplishing her sidetrack task for today as she then puts her mind back towards the new goal she had received from the angel called the principality.

Now that she knew why she was brought into this world, her goal right now is accomplishing the mission given to her in order for her to go back to her original world, but the only way to do that  is by finding clues on what she had to do in order to prepare for the inevitable future which involves a huge war. The answer lays on the land of the west. With that in mind, Asagi plans to stay in this place for a bit, before she head out towards the west side of the world.

Naturally as she thought of this inside her mind, she cant help but attract attention as multiple eyes were directed towards her coming from the residents of the city itself. Such a thing was unavoidable, after all Asagi's current look is a beautiful woman with an angelic charm, following that her skin was so beautiful and smooth that anyone who saw it would be mesmerized. What's more her act of stretching her arms out gave opportunity for anyone who are checking her out to see her curves clearly and even her majestic and smooth armpit.

Anyone who have such fetishes would naturally couldn't help but be attracted to her. But such gazes only lasted for a moment as a group of mages approaches her from the steps of the great library as they declared that she had been summoned by Albion.

"Sorry for the intrusion! but we were ordered to escort you to the place where sir Albion told us to bring you. We ask for your consideration to please follow us"

Seeing as how the newly arrived group politely asked for her presence, Asagi then followed them as they walked all towards one of the huge building in the central area of the city and were greeted warmly by the people working at such establishment.

At first they were skeptical with the request of attendance, after all despite the peaceful days they had spent inside this city made up of people who have the same goal of reaching the root, they were still somewhat on guard for anything that is life threatening, much more now that Asagi had descended using her real body and not her clone. 

Thankfully both Ariel and Michael require no sleep to function due to their trait of being a divine entity. Even though Asagi could do the same due to her divine character build, the habit of her being a human cant be overwritten just like that. As a human on earth who require sleep to replenish the exhausted energy, her body unknowingly  followed the same habit that she did in her previous world. One can even say that this is one of the few things that reminded her that she is a human and not some god.

Upon arriving at the location where her attendance were asked, the group of people leading her then asked politely to leave her guards by the door as she enter alone inside the room, after all based on their explanation, there are influential people inside the room that governs the whole city right under the guidance of Albion, as a show of respect she would need to meet up with them with no guards as an etiquette in a formal meeting.

Despite some slight complains coming from both Ariel and Michael, they still kept their feeling inside as they somewhat grew accustomed of this kind of etiquette. Since they were just visitors, then it is only appropriate for them to follow the code of morals of the place they are visiting.

With that Asagi then entered the room  with confidence as she saw a huge circular  room with towering statues of knights on each supporting pillar and a round table in the middle of the room. The chairs design in somewhat similar to a stone chair that can be seen in an intergalactic space council with a very long and towering back rest. Lastly the people who is called the influential figures of the city is currently sitting on their the surrounds the round table.

All in all there are a total of 13 people sitting in the table and if she was counted there would be 14 people all in all. The clothes of the alchemist and a mage may vary itself, despite both groups wearing the  robes on their body, the mages can be differentiated by the design of the clothes itself. The mages group wore a hooded robes with varying brighter colors, while the alchemist group wore high collared robe with varying darker colors. With such obvious differences, it is quite easy to differentiate from which  group a person belongs.

Based on what she see in front of her, there are 6 mages on the left side of the round table and 6 alchemist on the right side of the round table. As for Albion he is the only one wearing a white robe as the sole de facto owner of the city and the person with the highest authority

Alongside it each and every person in the room weren't hiding their strength at all, after all every person in the room aside from were showcasing their aura and mana, due to that the atmosphere inside the room is quite pressuring. Thankfully her divinity is negating the effects of this pressure, due to that Asagi had no qualms regarding the pressure as aura and mana just doesn't stand a chance against divine energy.

Of course the moment Asagi exudes her divine energy to the people around her, all of them aside fro0m Albion were shocked by such unique energy that is neither aura nor mana. Due to that as group of people who are seeking more knowledge to reach the root, they became quite curious and shown interest towards divine energy.

"That took quite awhile! i thought you would never get here on time" greeted by Albion

"Well i was taking my time and enjoying the view... this city itself is really peaceful" replied by Asagi

"Well actually that's what I've been aiming for from the very beginning, creating a peaceful utopia without discrimination of some sort among its citizens and everyone in it will share one common goal"

"Common goal... is it actually the root you talking about?"

"The root.... i see that you heard it, well its not much of a secret anyways..."

"... Right! anyway i heard that your seeking for my audience?"

"Ah yes! i was planning to introduce you to the influential people in this city earlier on, however the schedule of this busy warts is quite tight and hectic and this is the only day they all had that is free... with it as you know it, i took this chance to gather them all together in order to meet you"

With those words, Asagi then  met the people who is the very backbone of the city itself.
