Chapter 127: The Third Triad Principalities
[City of Avalon, Central Tower Deepest Floor]
As they walked at the dark hallway that was only lit up by torches along the walls, Albion carefully answered all of Amos questions as he also inserted some interesting conversation in between. Through this almost of Amos question was cleared up as he somehow felt less tense than he was before. This may be the cause of his questions being answered truthfully.
Amos himself has a very special type of eyes, a type of eyes that discern falsehood and lies. Since he seemed less tense as Albion answered his questions regarding his visions that appeared before him every now and then, he somehow deemed Albion as a person who is telling the truth and seemingly a person who answers based on his deep wisdom and knowledge.
As a former emperor, Amos is excellent in judging the type of character he encounters in his everyday life, and Albion himself seemed to be a type of person whom one can trust.
After a long whole of their talk, the three of them finally arrived at the end of the dark hallway and in front a gigantic door which seemed to be made out of tough mithril. Upon seeing this, Amos couldn't help but be amazed by this type of structure made by a special type of alloy.
"This is... Mithril! Amazing, just what kind of person who could make such magnificent door?"
As Amos said those words, his fingers then accidentally touched the door, as he felt his mana being sucked up by the door itself in an incredible rate. Due to that he was caught shock by this phenomenon as he quickly jerked his hand back and took a couple of steps back.
"This door.... it absorbs mana?"
In that moment, Albion then answered.
"Your both right and wrong! While this door may seem to absorb mana upon touch, this door is actually a good type of mana conductor made out of a special alloy called mithril... due to that its defenses is super thick and it is a good type of blockade for any powerful attack that may come your way.... The more mana you inject on it, the more stronger this type of metal can be"
As Albion said those words, Amos once again was amazed by this door as he touched the door once more and begun controlling his mana along the mana circuit of the alloy itself. As Amos did this, Asagi on the other hand stepped forward as she then asked Albion.
"Is this the place?"
"Yes... all the questions you harbored within yourself will be answered inside"
"Your not going to be the one to answer my questions?"
"I can answer your questions, but i believe that another thing is much more worthy of answering them aside from me.... it is waiting inside.... your the only one who can enter beyond this point, once you get inside i believe you would know what to do next"
The moment Albion said this, Amos was shocked for a moment as he complained about why Asagi would be the only one to enter the room. Naturally Albion explained himself as he gave Amos a reasonable excuse on why Asagi should enter alone.
After a few minutes of persuasion, Amos finally conceded as Albion smiled and led Asagi into the room. Primarily he would be the one to open up the door using an unknown means of magic control. Once he opened the door, Asagi would then enter the room as Albion would close the door itself wand wait for the situation inside to conclude.
In that sense, Albion did what he must do, as Asagi entered the room and was left by herself in a huge spacious room with a huge orb like object attached in the middle of the room. Once Albion closed the door, the room then suddenly went dark to the point that the only illumination that the room have was none other than the huge orb in the middle.
The moment Asagi was left alone inside, Asagi begun to wonder what she should do inside the room as she circled the whole room first in one cycle before getting close towards the orb itself. As she got close to the orb, she then looked around for any possible clue on what to do as she tried to find a type of switch that would make her use the huge orb. Unfortunately there was no such thing as switch around the orb itself.
Of course this only further confused Asagi herself, but as she was about to give up, she then remembered Albion's words that she would know what to do the moment she was inside the room. As she thought of those words, she begun to feel even more confused as she literally had no idea on what to do in this situation.
In that moment a certain thought popped up from behind her mind as she wondered whether the door itself has the same property as the glowing orb inside the room. Of course that was just a hypothesis, but she wouldn't know if it will work if she wouldn't try.
With that in mind, she then stretched out her hand towards the orb, as she touched its surface with the palm of her hand, before she injected the orb with her own mana itself. Since the mana she had came from her system, her mana was naturally as clear and pure one could get, which caused the orb to shine bright like an illuminated sun itself.
Not long after, bright light burst out towards the surroundings, as the earth shook and wind begun to rush out from the orb itself. Because of this violent wind, Asagi then undo the spell she casted on her back, as her wings popped out of nowhere and begun to shield herself with her wings from the violent wind.
As she endured this type of wind for a minute or two, the wind then suddenly disappeared into nothingness as the whole room went silent, and all manner of noise disappeared inside the room.
Naturally Asagi herself was shocked by this phenomenon as she begun to look up and was further shocked by what she saw. All the debris, dust, and even speck of tiny rubble of rocks falling from above were seemed frozen in midair. At some point she could even faintly see wind current s frozen in their tracks as long as she focus her sight in that particular space while applying mana on her sight.
Everything has completely halted, or better yet it seemed like time itself was frozen. The only thing that was moving in this space frozen in time seemed to be only her. This clearly surprised her a lot.
"Time manipulation? Just how did..."
As confusion in her face grew, she then begun to dig up some info regarding time manipulation in her memory of knowledge as she also trying to understand the phenomenon that laid out before her. In general term, time manipulation, or timeline alteration, is the concept of altering past events in such a way that it significantly affects the present or future. Time Manipulation (sometimes called Chronokinesis) is the ability to control time itself. Examples include time travel, Precognition, slowing down time, speeding up time, etc. and stopping time is one of them.
But as grand as the description can be, it takes skills, experience and a immense amount of mana just to enact of stopping the time itself. After all stopping time just doesn't only the specified area, but rather the whole world itself. In is a type of divine act, and can only be done by an omnipotent god itself.
As Asagi was drowned in confusion, a single white feather bypassed her sight, as he eyes turned into a dot, and she hastily turned her head towards the direction of the huge orb itself. In that moment she saw someone standing before the orb seemingly exuding a divine aura much greater than her own.
It was a female winged angel, donned in golden armor, and wielding a huge staff seemed to bring about justice, was standing right before her very eyes. As Asagi drew closer, the female angel op0ened up her eyes which revealed a golden iris, with complicated pupils that seemed to be a mark from a divine being.
"No need to step any further, O lost soul"
Hearing the angel's words, Asagi halted on her tracks, as she clenched her fist and proceeded to ask.
"You know about me?"
"Oh yes! We know all about you, from the time thy were born, to the time where thy soul has been transferred... We've been watching for a very long time"
"We?" asked by Asagi as she was confused by this pronoun, after all there was only one person in front of her right now, so begs the question on why did she say 'we'. If her guess were rights, then based on what the angel said, there was more than one person watching her from afar. But the biggest thing that surprised her was that such person knew that she came from another world.
"Yes we.... Beings who have existence far greater than the locals of this world... we are from a place far greater dimension than this plane... We are from Eden"
The Garden of Eden, or Garden of God also called the Terrestrial Paradise, is the biblical paradise described in Genesis. The location of Eden is described in the Book of Genesis as the source of four tributaries. Various suggestions have been made for its location, at the head of the Persian Gulf, in southern Mesopotamia where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers run into the sea, and in Armenia.
Like the Genesis flood narrative, the Genesis creation narrative and the account of the Tower of Babel, the story of Eden echoes the Mesopotamian myth of a king, as a primordial man, who is placed in a divine garden to guard the tree of life. The Hebrew Bible depicts Adam and Eve as walking around the Garden of Eden naked due to their sinlessness.
Mentions of Eden are also made in the Bible elsewhere in Genesis, in Isaiah 51:3, Ezekiel 36:35, and Joel 2:3; Zechariah 14 and Ezekiel 47 use paradisical imagery without naming Eden. For some Christians, especially in the Orthodox tradition, Eden is considered a reality outside of empirical history that effects the entire history of the universe as seen in the idea of an temporal fall that separates humanity's current reduced form of time from the divine life enjoyed in Eden.
All in all not only is Eden quite famous back on earth which branch out many names, Eden itself also holds an much importance due to how much is it kept in secrecy from humanity itself. So it naturally came in a shock the moment Asagi heard the term Eden.
"Eden? That Eden? Who are you?"
In this question, the angel then opened her mouth as she answered truthfully.
"I have no name, names is something only the chosen one had been given by god, or named by a human... at most names held no importance to us... But if you must know about us, then all i can say is I'm an angel, first ranking among the third triads, principalities, an angel who governs the archangels and angels that travels the surface world"
Principalities, Asagi had heard them before, as what was introduced, they are the first in rankings among the triads, meaning they rank far greater than the archangels themselves in terms of hierarchy in heaven.
According to Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite's De Coelesti Hierarchia (On the Celestial Hierarchy), there are three levels ("sphere") of angels, inside each of which there are three orders. Various works of Christian theology have devised hierarchies of angelic beings. The most influential Christian angelic hierarchy was put forward around the turn of the 6th century CE by Pseudo-Dionysius in his work De Coelesti Hierarchia.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) paragraph 328, "the existence of the spiritual, non-corporeal beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls 'angels' is a truth of faith. The witness of Scripture is as clear as the unanimity of Tradition." The same catechism states: "The whole life of the church benefits from the mysterious and powerful help of the angels [...] From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession."[
According to The Etymologies of Isidore of Seville, the Principalities (Latin: principatus), also translated as "Princedoms" and "Rulers", from the Greek archai, pl. of archē are the angels that guide and protect nations, or groups of peoples, and institutions such as the Church. The Principalities preside over the bands of angels and charge them with fulfilling the divine ministry. There are some who administer and some who assist.
With such a being right in front of her, it is only natural that such information came into shock for Asagi.
