[Snow Peak Mountain Range]

With the fall of the stone fortress, both the checkpoint in north and east then had fallen so0on after, as the demonic wave completely flooded both locations and forced the warriors of the south to fall back in defeat. 

The beast grave canyon on the east was attacked by huge demonic centipede reaching the skies, as it used its own body to form a bridge connecting the two territories and allowed smaller demonic beast to decimate the east camp of the southern warriors. The mountain pass on the north on another hand, was razed to the ground b y armored demonic beast in a form of stampede and toyed around by a hundred of flying bat like demonic beast in the skies.

With such demonic beast attacking them, the two remaining checkpoint then soon had fallen as the southern tribe were pushed back even further in by their enemies.

However the onslaught of the so called demonic beast didn't end there at all. Those creatures were ruthless and have only desire to kill its enemies until it exist no more. Due to that the retreating army was further chased around, as the number of casualty rises among the warriors who decided to sacrifice themselves for the survival of the whole southern tribes.

The demonic beast were just too fast, so in order to give a fighting chance for their breadthen and a chance to turn things around, many warriors decided to stall such monsters and sacrificed their lives for the greater cause. Even thought such decision was admirable, the result differed otherwise. No matter how much they put up a front, those warriors who sacrificed themselves were soon overwhelmed by the numbers of the demonic beast and died in such painful slaughter.

The chase continued on for days and night, with no rest being given to those who tried to survive. At such statement and the fact that the southern warriors were being pushed back, territories after territories were ravaged by such monsters as non-combatant residents evacuate deeper into their territory.

The deeper the surviving southern tribe went into their territory, the lesser option they have of any means to escape from their pursuers. Many lives were already lost till this point, Fathers, husbands, brothers, sons, daughters, elders, and even relatives were among the casualties as the army continuously got pushed back.

At the moment the demonic beast appeared, any means of not involving the non-combatant residents in this war has been thrown out of the window. In this act of escaping alone, a lot of non-combatant residents had already died for multiple reasons. and all of them were the because of the demonic beast itself.

In the process of their escape, the line of army, then soon became a huge mass of people, and even grew further to a sea of populace. Each day as they get pushed back, more and more people were involved to the point that such crowd begun convoluting in one area. Even thought such a population could describe just how abundant the southern territory is, such scene became a liability to them as such numbers attract the eyes of the demonic beast.

For the demonic beast themselves, such convoluted populace was nothing but like an unlimited buffet of food for their kind. But despite that fact the southern warriors couldn't do anything as it was better to gather every southern warriors in one spot, rather than being picked off one by one from having them spread out all over the place.

Such a situation were also happening in both the north and east side of the southern tribe territory. Due to that Boris sent a message through a messenger bird to let all the southern tribe gather at the very center  out the southern tribe territory in order to regroup and plan to counter attack after being driven up to a wall.

With such order both Einar and the current stand-in on the army of the east battlefront, then agreed to Boris orders and planned to head at the very center of the southern territory. However something strange happened the moment Einar and the sea of people entered Tetra's territory.

For some unknown reason, the moment the person at the end of the sea of people entered Tetra's territory border, the demonic beast chase suddenly came to an end as this so called monsters begun to hesitate to even enter the land.

This scene of course caused Einar and the other surviving chiefs to suddenly came into a halt and were confused of the demonic beast behavior.

There was literally nothing hindering the demonic beast from attacking the sea of people behind the southern tribe army's back. All the demonic beast need to do was to take a step forward and bare their fangs at them. To be exact the demonic beast were just a few steps away from them, so close that the warriors could even feel the breath of the demons themselves. But despite that the demonic beast didn't put a foot in at all in tetra's territory.

For some reason quite unknown to the humans of the plains, the demonic beast felt aura enveloping the area which is quite repulsive towards their kind. Such deterrent may be invisible in the eyes of the southern warriors, but to the demonic beast, such deterrent were clear as day as fear begun to show in their eyes.

This strange behavior greatly caused Einar to calm his mind for a moment and make such logical decision. Even thought he doesn't know what made the demonic beast stop on their tracks, su8ch phenomenon must be reported back to Boris and inform everyone of a possible safe haven for the southern tribe warriors. The only thing Einar didn't expect that such safe haven would be within Tetra/ his niece territory.

The news naturally reached both the surviving people of north and east and somewhat gave them hope to survive such onslaught. Without any hesitation at all, Boris quickly relayed a message as he directed everyone to head straight towards the 30th tribe territory for shelter. At this point in time, Boris would reach out to anything that would help them survive this tragedy.

Upon receiving such orders, the march was so fast as the people rushed towards the 30th  tribe territory in hopes to find a safe haven for everyone present. Due to that it only took a day for both the survivors of east and north to arrive at the Tetra's land.

Upon arriving the non-combatants residents were quickly escorted by the other warriors towards Tetra's village (now turned as military camp), as they were relocated  at the wide plain near the said camp itself. As for the various chiefs that had survived, they were then escorted straight towards the meeting tent inside Tetra's village.

Just seeing the number of survivors alone, one can even somewhat guess that there were about more than a hundred thousandth's people present in one area. As for the causalities along the way, it is somewhat estimated around more than ten thousandth's.

The moment Boris arrived at the meeting area, the tent then suddenly became silent as the surviving chiefs looked over Boris who was covered with wounds all over his body. Even thought they were worried for such a great person, an even greater topic was pushed forward in accordance to the recent phenomenon.

"It seems like this land can indeed repel those monsters at the borders, you did a great job finding out about this.... Einar" said by Boris as he took a seat at the foremost area in the tent

"Its my pleasure... however we still don't know what force is repelling this so called monsters" said by Einar

At that moment Boris pondered for a bit as he then turned his gaze towards Tetra.

"Wouldn't it be quite easy if we just ask the person in charge of this territory?"

Upon hearing that, everyone's eyes then turned towards Tetra as they all expected her answer for such a phenomenon. After all if Tetra could provide an answer towards this question, they may be able to apply this strange phenomenon to their own abandoned territories and immediately expel the demonic beast away from their land.

However Tetra on the other hand don't know what to answer at all. Even she herself is confused why such demons would feel threatened  by her territory, there was literally nothing amazing in her territory aside from the abundant medicinal herbs.

These medicinal herbs has no capability to deter those demonic beast, no special trait, no side effect towards their environment. With that she was so confused on what may deter such ruthless creatures.

"... I... I had no idea, i don't know what deter those creatures... there's literally nothing interesting in my territory aside from the abundant medicinal herbs"

In that moment some of the chiefs spoke out

12th Tribal Chief: "Medicinal herbs... do you think such plants have such potential?"

14th Tribal Chief: "Its possible... there3 are many possibilities on what may deter those creatures and if the medicinal herbs is the only thing strange in this territory, then maybe such herbs were actually the one whop repelled the monsters"

Of course alongside it, there were some who voiced their objections.

37th Tribal Chief: "I don't think that's it... my land is also abundant with such plants, but it was taken down by those creatures... if such herbs were able to deter the creatures, then why didn't it deter them in other territories?"

3rd Tribal Chief: "He do have a point"

10th Tribal Chief: "Then  perhaps a mutated one?"

29th Tribal Chief: "Most unlikely"

With that all attention turned back towards Tetra as they tried to dig for any means of an answer. Alongside it Boris then gave Tetra who was being pressured for answer to speak up.

"There is no need to be afraid, tell us your secrets... what is something different in your territory that is non-existent to ours? did something happen in your territory prior to the war?"

Under Boris Guidance, Tetra then dug deeper into her memories, all the things that happened in her territory. In that moment a sudden realization dawned on her. The thing that existed in her territory that doesn't exist in others. Those visitors with white as snow wings.

"Now that i think about it, there is this one thing...."

Hearing her initial words, all the chiefs drew closer to her as they tried their best to capture every piece of information from her.

"Speak..." said by Boris

"There were visitors that appeared before my people a few days before the war"

20th Tribal Chief: "Visitors? outsiders? what do they want?"

"... They said that there were demonic beast that had escaped their pursuit that is hiding within my territory, they wanted my permission to hunt them down"

28th Tribal Chief: "Did you believe them? how can you be sure that they aren't making up excuses to plunder your resources?"

"I believed them... after all i had my men observe them from afar and for the past few days that they hunted on the ground, i never once saw them plunder some thing within my territory"

41st Tribal chief: "Then a spy!"

"They are not! it is impossible! they don't belong to any of the tribe that exist within the mountain range"

"How can you be sure?" asked by Boris

"Because... Because they are not humans" answered by Tetra after some slight hesitation

In that moment, everyone went silent as they listened to her words, such words that can be deemed as delusional. For the tribal warriors there are only two types of creatures in the world, humans and beast, and if one is not in the category, one can only described as alien or a delusion from the mind itself.

Nevertheless Tetra continued on explaining.

"They are much shorter than us in terms of size, fewer muscle mass, carrying intricate design in their weapons, an aura that can awe anyone, and huge white wing so clear like a snow attached on their backs... with those features i can boldly declare they are not humans"

Once again the room was silenced as everyone begun to imagine the creature that Tetra had described. But since they have a lacking creativity, they somehow cant picture such creatures at all. Nevertheless it did picked up their curiosity.

3rd Tribal Chief:  "A human but it is not human... have white wings as clear as snow... are they perhaps a mix breed of beast and humans?"

9th Tribal Chief: "That is possible! after all there are many record in our ancestors history regarding such phenomenon"

15th Tribal Chief: "Those creatures are weird"

As the various chiefs discuss such topic regarding this unknown visitor, Boris on the other hand showed curiosity even further.

"Then where are this visitors?"

"... At the neighboring mountain on the south... I gave that mountain as a temporary base for those visitors"
