Chapter 7
(Art by me)
Before Veronica could make a move to seize the Broadcaster, the world seemed to glitch around her. If it had not been for the sudden flash of colors, Negative might have mistaken it for him teleporting.
A hand gripped around her shadowy body, a burning sensation overtaking her. Negative let out a small cry of pain, Veronica already turned around, arms raised as a black aura surrounded her hand.
Suddenly the world glitched again, that burning sensation intensifying as it felt like her body was broken for a split second. With the girl's mother's back turned, the Broadcaster reached a hand out, gripping the back of her neck.
Veronica's hands shot up to the long fingers squeezing her throat, suddenly gasping for air. "Mom!" Negative quickly buried her teeth into the hand that held her, twisting her hand angrily.
Blood dribbled down to the floor, even after the Broadcaster dropped her. There was a few good things being Six's counterpart, and have her sharp teeth were one of them.
The shadowy girl wasted no time making herself teleport, poofing as quickly as she could as the world continuously glitched around her.
The colors flashed faster and faster, Negative feeling sick from the excessive use of her powers and the flashing.
'Farther! Get farther away!' she told herself.
Taking a deep breath, the shadow forced herself to go farther. Down to the guest area, down to the kitchen, and farther down to the Nursery of the Maw.
The room was dark, perfect for her to hide in. The faint sound of buzzing could be heard, the world flashing colors once more. The shadow quickly hid under one of the beds, hands over her glowing stark white eyes to hide them.
The sound of footsteps came soon after, the clicking of dress shoes and creaks of the floor were the only noise.
"Tell me, do you know why I am after you?" The Broadcaster asked, continuing to walk around in the dark room.
Negative didn't answer, closing her eyes to be double sure she was hidden.
"You're the Raincoat Girl's other self. As much fun as it would be to rip her apart, her hunger and that other one worries me," he muttered, steps sounding closer to the end of the room.
"If I can get rid of one of them before they have even gotten close to my tower, I wouldn't have to worry so much about that other."
The buzzing noise happened again, and before Negative could even process what was happening, a hand wrapped around her body.

Mono stared towards the attic's ladder, seeing the edge of a large shadow. Zero continued wildly with her barking, the sound of a gun cocking made his blood freeze.
It was like a blur, Mono suddenly finding him and Six practically throwing themselves down the attic ladder and onto the relentless Hunter.
"I'll tear your damn heart out!" Six shouted, rolling out of the way of a gunshot, splintering wood flying off.
Mono watched as the Hunter tried to reload his gun as quickly as he could, Six running behind him to climb on him. Curses shouting in the air from both of her and the Hunter, more gunshots firing as the man tried to find the girl.
Seven nearly came stumbling down the ladder if it wasn't for the barrel of the gun throwing him off as the Hunter wildly swung around to get the girl out from his pants leg. He landed with a 'thump' rolling to his side in pain. With anxiety and fear, the brunette looked over at the two.
It it wasn't for how serious and dire the matter was, Seven would have laughed at the old memory of Six doing the same thing to the twin Chefs. (He did silently hope she'd go on one of her biting sprees as well to deal some more damage)
The outline of the girl could be seen, climbing her way farther and farther up like a rat on a mission. The Hunter stomped his foot, nearly knocking the girl off. Threats and curses suddenly got louder, Zero joining in as she dug her teeth into the other pants leg, shaking her head about.
He pushed himself up, ready to help out Six, eyes darting to the side as a movement caught his attention. Mono was at the other side of the room, near the door, fumbling with the key. Trying his best to twist the key, the bag wearing boy let out a small scream of surprise of a sudden bullet mark right above his head.
"You again! You stupid, little nuisance, I'll gut you like a fish!" The Hunter shouted, the man going to the other, gun barrel pointed away from them. With a hand reaching out to grab him, Mono finally got the padlock off, ramming his body into the door.
Seven raced to join the other, ready to detract the giant and let Mono escape. Once the other boy was nearly there, the Hunter let out a pain filled scream, rearing back.
Dark blue and shadowed eyes looked over, spotting a scurrying Six nearly land on her back on the way down. "Go, go!" she ordered.
"The hell did you do?" Mono asked, Zero racing by him into the nighttime air.
"Not important, just go!" Six ran by the two, adrenaline pumping through her thin and small body.
Seven and Mono didn't question it, following after the girl and dog. Rain began to drizzle down from the clouded sky, no moon or stars visible from where they were.
Boxes laid around, Zero dashing to the closest one, Six right behind her. Seven looked over his shoulder, seeing the door being swung open. With a click of his gun, the Hunter stood at the top of the small stairs at the door with his trusty weapon in hand.
Letting out a small gasp, Seven tackled the other boy, rolling in the now softening dirt below. The blue wearing boy could feel the heat and air off the bullet as it flew by, his ears barely making out the sound of their attacker going to reload.
Six and Zero ran across from them, the Mini Aussie leading the way to the next box on skillful, yet awkwardly lanky legs.
Seven dragged the other up, grasping his hand in a death grip as they ran. He glanced over his shoulder, watching the end of the gun.
"Six, twelve o'clock!" He shouted. With a quick nod, the girl went right, jumping and rolling over the top of a small crate to the other side.
A sharp bullet mark scorched the ground where the girl once stood. With watchful eyes, Seven stirred him and Mono out of the way of another bullet, though it did brush by his cheek.
"Nine o'clock!"
Whizzz!
"One o'clock!"
Pooooow!
"Ten o'clock!"
Peeewww!
"This guy just doesn't run out of bullets, does he?" Mono said, ducking his head as he copied the other.
Seven didn't answer, didn't even hear him actually. He had to keep them safe, he had to watch the bullets!
"Seven, ledge,"
If he didn't do it, who would keep them safe?
"Seven, ledge,"
Who would keep them both safe?"
"Ledge,"
Who would keep his precious Yellowjacket safe?
"Ledge!"
Seven finally came to his senses, feeling the earth below him disappear. With a small noise of surprise Seven didn't even know humans could make, he and Mono feel down a small ledge.
He hit the ground first, Mono landed on him with the a grunt of pain. Six and Zero joined their side, Six grabbing the two and hauling them back to the wall of the ledge.
Zero tucked herself by Six, folded ears perked to listen. The three teens waited with bated breath as the sound of the Hunter neared above them. The creaking over the dirt ceiling didn't seem to help their already frightened nerves, small bits of it falling from it and onto them.
Six ducked below the two, trying to try out of sight with her bright yellow raincoat. Seven waited and waited until finally the noise of the Hunter slowly walking away from them signaled to them it was okay.
The three let out breaths they didn't know they were holding, even Zero seemingly sighing in relief. The Hunter was gone.
"He'll be somewhere up ahead, I'm sure of it," Mono whispered, pushing himself up to his feet. "He doesn't give up that easily."
Six gave as chuckle. "Then he hasn't meet me and Sev. Sneak is our middle name!"
Seven couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Actually, yours is Peril if I remember correctly. Anyways, that's not the key topic of discussion right now. Where are we going now?"
The boy looked over his shoulder, suddenly noticing that Mono was missing. His dark blue eyes darted around, before making out the other's figure on the top of the small hill that connected to a small path.
Getting up from his spot, Seven helped Six up, who dusted herself off and came to stand by Mono. He reached out, grabbing Six's hand.
"So we don't get lost."
The want to strangle the boy nearly crushed Seven, who stared with a deadpan look on his face. His muscles went tense, nails digging into his palm. Zero padded to him, sniffing his hand, giving it a nudge with her nose.
Seven looked down at the dog. "What? Look, I already lost her to you, furball. I ain't losing her to short and shady over there."
"Arf! Arf, arf!"
"Shut up, I'm like half an inch taller, thank you,"
"Grrrrrr..."
"Whatever."
Seven joined the two, about to walk off without them when suddenly Six extended her other hand. "C'mon, Sev, before he comes back."
Slightly taken back (but greatly appreciated), the boy took her hand, a small smile on his face. Right, the world didn't care about his feeling right now. They had to work on solving whatever problem there was.
"Right, let's go."

Finished - Sept. 16, 2020
It's late at night when I finally got this written, so if there are any errors, I'm sorry. Plus the WiFi is bad rn, (thanks Hurricane Sally-), so I have to probably update this another time.
Little Daydreams AU info expansion
Negative - the only know powers Negative can seem to do is: teleport at short distances, enter into Six's mind/dreams, and make her and other object float. She's never really tested out anything else, but is comfortable with what she does know.
Six (main) - When Six likes something, she's going to cherish it and protect whatever it is like a momma tiger. Screw bears, tigers are much more ferocious. Back in Little Daydreams, a familiar scene is replayed in his chapter.
More info later on...
