Prologue
The goddess of light tracked through the white passage made of crystal glass with the sun having it sparkle. The light flood through it sending kaleidoscopic shapes and colours all over the white shiny floor where her feet kissed. She could hear the angels sing from where she was, voices so magical they had one mesmerized yet she found herself taking off jogging with tears shimmering in her eyes. She knew she had little to no time and she had to get to him no matter what. Her hands shook, a flood of emotion flooding through her, something frowned upon, something only she had and it was an abomination. Her white robe floated all around her with her golden crown floating above her head, feet patting the cold floor yet she could care less. Her world was trembling- falling apart and she had to leave.
Her feet carried her out of the Holy sanctuary, carrying her outside. She ran, wind she had created blowing all around her, dancing and twirling around her being as she could hear it whisper to her. If this was any other day she would be dancing too, she would be laughing and letting wind carry her around yet on this day she could not. Her jog turned to a full run, running through
h the maze where she had hid her garden, her sacred garden.
Somehow the Goddess of light had feelings when all the others did not, all they knew was right or left when she would find herself in a cross road. They would want yes or no with her giving them a maybe. This had left her the odd one out with her not being involved in most decision making because it seemed like her conscious was making it hard for her to agree with some of the things that were supposed to happen. At some point she wished she was just like everyone else. Heaven did not need someone who cared too much, tough decisions had to be made and she just could not do that.
The goddess saw the spot where she had cloaked away her sacred garden. Her heart pound for she knew he was already there, her love, her heart and her soul. With a flicker of a hand the steps that led underground appeared and she did not waste time running down them with them disappearing after. She could hear the sound of the water from where she was, she could breathe the fresh air that tingled against her skin. The wind picked up again as she got near, hearing the trees sway along with the beautiful animals flying and croaking. This had been her prototype, she had been instructed to create different realms where different species would live and she would be in charge of creating species for realm one so she had and now her first humans were just created leaving her work done but to observe and guide them.
Her feet touched ground, gripping wet soil with splashes of water from the water fall spraying on her. Her head turned, feeling him, knowing he was there and as she turned around there he was standing in his mighty. The goddess's heart skipped a thousand beats all at once, her problems seeming to float away as she stared at her love. She did not know what had happened yet one day she had looked up, staring at the God of darkness and her world had shook all around her. He had passed right next to her with little acknowledgement yet she was smitten. The problem had been that the God of darkness rarely came up to heaven but that did not stop her, she had forever. Time had passed and her love had only grown, watching the dark force that suddenly everyone seemed to cast out. It was not that he had done something wrong or was evil but it was just that there had to be someone who would keep a leash on the demons that were so evil and ruthless.
She could remember how scared she had been though, the God of darkness was scary and ruthless, he had to be in order to tame those beasts that wanted nothing more than blood. The demons had once been angels which were in the God of Soul's charge. They were supposed to be the purest beings with nothing but love, singing with their voices having the heavens shake yet with the God's first creation something had went wrong and they turned to the worst possible creatures to ever exist. The angels were made in the God's image so the power they held was great meaning the demons now had power that could tear worlds.
The Gods would hold meetings without the God of darkness, make decisions without him as if he was no longer a God but he was and the strongest of them all with his power growing as everyday he fought all night and day, fighting those vile creatures that wanted to break free from all the torture they were going through. The God would storm into the heavens, red with fury and The Goddess of light would stand in the shadows, watching, her heart drumming so hard as if it would shutter. She had not known what she had wanted from him, had not known what she would do with those feelings yet she knew watching him was only making it worse because she was madly in love.
The God tried and tried to speak out about the treatment he was getting yet there had been no change so he stopped coming all at once and they forgot about him, happy he was gone yet the goddess of light would find herself weeping her heart out. It had felt like she was dying and she did not understand why. Time passed and it seemed she was losing her mind so she ran off. She did not even know how she would find him yet she knew her heart would find him and find him it did because suddenly she stood in the darkest place she had ever seen, shaking like a leaf. The goddess had never seen such a place, even the smell lingering in the air had sickened her to her stomach yet she had wondered around, her instincts guiding her until she stood watching the God fight so hard, fighting creatures that were relentless. They could not kill him but that had not meant they could not hurt him. She watched the God fight all by himself, fighting thousands and thousands of creatures yet still making sure some did not slip away and run. It had been brutal, her poor heart had broken and that had been the first time she had took a life, the purest of Gods suddenly stained.
The goddess took off running to her love, her robe floating as he rushed, meeting her half way only to capture her in his arms where she had lay so many times. They had done something unspeakable, they had sinned and they would pay for it. The goddess closed her eyes, tears streaming through as the God held her so tight in his chest. She felt complete, happiness surged all through her and she knew she would do it again and again, she did not regret what they had done, not even by chance.
"My love," The God spoke; his voice like molten lava-she had always thought it to compare to thunder. His lips came kissing the crown of her hair over and over again as she wept her heart out.
"Lets go to the underworld, I can protect you there, they cannot hurt us there." He said desperately, holding on to his beautiful love who he would gladly lay his life for if it came to it.
"No Aristarcus, too much is at stake, I have to go. With all left in me, I will build a realm, they cannot come down or they will lose their powers."
"But you will lose your powers too, how will you survive, you will be a mere human. I will not let you do that." The God shook his head, how could he let go of her when she was his everything. He held on tighter to her, her scent hitting him hard having him close his eyes as the pain shot through his chest.
"I know love, I have to, they will kill our baby, we cannot let them kill our baby Aristarcus. Please....." The Goddess's head went snapping up, eyes taking the place as her whole frame shook even harder.
"They are here, they are trying to break through the cloak." She said, pealing from his arms with her wings springing out only to watch as the God pushed out his. His wings were pure black, having turned from white with all the time he spent in the darkness. His red eyes with black irises were the contrast on her white eyes with dark irises. The God was dashing, he was well built with a well-toned body from all the fighting, scars on his whole body that made him look like a savage yet her love for him only grew with the time spent. She had melted his heart and claimed him as hers. They knew their secret would come out yet this had never been so hard and now a baby was involved. A product of their love, something that was supposed to be impossible yet here they were as she held her belly, watching the love of her life ready to take down anyone who would come through.
"I have to go my love." The words slipped out of her mouth like acid to her mouth, more tears flooded with her heart shuttering. The God of darkness turned, hurt written all over his face as he stalked towards her yet she took a step back.
"I am coming with you,"
"No you are not, without you no one will step up to tame the beasts, the demons have gotten stronger and only you can keep them down. They won't kill you, they need you."
"No, I am coming with you, you are all I care about and my son." His voice was filled with such hurt, his hands shook as he took a step closer to his beautiful Goddess, the mother of his first child. His heart was shuttering, pain more than he had ever felt in his whole existence.
The goddess shook her head, tears streaming down her face. If he was not there the demons would break out and they would kill so many angels and hurt the Gods. Chaos would break out. She had to make the sacrifice, leaving all she knew and her heart behind going to the unknown. She was so scared yet she could not tell him that as she took steps further back but the God was in front of her in an instant. He took her hand, grabbing it so roughly and brought her to him. He was not going to lose her, she was all he had.
"Do this for our child Aristarcus, if the demons break free it won't be long before they come down and kill all we have created. Please my love, let me go." She spoke, her hand cupping his cheek watching as a tear slid from his eye. They shook as their little heaven shook from the other Gods trying to get in. Everything seemed to be crushing down as her trembling lips found his, claiming them. Her whole body tingled, a shudder going over her frail body.
"I love you,"
"I love you too my love, I will tell him about you, I will try my best to raise him. One day we will come back and....."
The goddess's words were cut as the dome shuttered with the angels rushing in. Panic hit as the Goddess of light pushed the God away, the wind carrying him away with everything seeming to happen in slow motion. A sob broke through her as all twelve Gods rushed through. The spell fell out of her mouth as the ground tore apart. She could see them getting closer and closer, the wind trying to blow them away yet they were too strong but it bought her time for her spell to work. The ground shook harder and harder with it cracking, the soil moving down. She was taking her garden, it was where she would live, she needed it or she would die. Her eyes flickered, finding the God of Darkness flying over to the other where they fought. She watched him fight so hard, making sure no one would get through, he was relentless, tearing through them with none his match. Her heart shuttered as she fell through one of the cracks but before she could disappear she heard the words that came with so much venom.
"I curse you Goddess of light with your unborn child. Everything he touches will die, he will not conceive and your human creation will be one filled with sin....."
A loud roar was heard before everything went black.
