Day is Done

Sunset on the horizon

Silence falls all around

The wind rustles the trees

Leaves fall to the ground

Clouds grow dark in the sky

Stars twinkle in between

Looks like rain, later on

Refreshing, cool and clean

We sit on the back stoop

Watch the sun go down

The leaves scurry by us

As the wind blows them around

We wish upon the stars

That when tomorrow ends

we will see the tranquility

Of the nigh time once again
