Loyalty
I just wanna apologize off the bat, I've been really busy at school with a bunch of stuff like track (I feel so sore) and my AP classes giving me billions of things to do. I'm not going to make a giant list of excuses, but I still wanted to give you guys a bit of an explanation of what's going on. Hope you enjoy, it's a bit shorter than usual.
Heaven is not what you'd expect.
To begin with, each person has their own personal Heaven that usually consists of their fondest memories. Also angels, despite what you may think, don't have glowing halos or feathery white wings and sing beautiful choir music.
They're soldiers of God with black shadowy wings only seen if the angel wants to show them, dispelling demons from the Earth and helping some of those who are in need.
And Amy hates that.
The only reason being because she's not allowed to go down to Earth and help everyone, trapped in what should be paradise but is what she considers a glorified prison.
Currently, she was watching a young girl relive some kind of convention with two men smiling and talking to her. One was dressed in all black with dark brown hair and brown eyes and the other was dressed in bright colors, had black hair, and blue eyes. Both had black cat whiskers drawn on their face for some odd reason.
"Hey Amy!"
Amy jumped in surprise, seeing Signe suddenly standing next to her. Even though she knew angels could move in the blink of an eye, it still startled her from time to time.
"Guess what?" Signe squealed excitedly in a hushed tone.
"What?" Amy smirked, rolling her eyes.
"I went down to Earth!" She whispered proudly.
"You're not supposed to do that!" Amy hissed, looking around to make sure no one was listening.
"But it's so beautiful! Everything is so green and there's rain that makes you want to curl up by a fire, it's amazing! I also met this nice man with green hair, he called me pretty." She blushed a light red hue.
"What if Naomi finds out?" Amy whispered sharply. Naomi was the closest thing they had to a leader since God was never around for whatever reason.
"Find out what?" Naomi appeared beside them as if she was summoned. She was dressed in her usual black suit with her long brown hair tied up in a neat bun. Her frown sent shivers down her spine
"Nothing." Amy interjected as Signe opened her mouth. The last time someone disobeyed her, they weren't ever heard from again.
"Did you two go to Earth?" Her eyes narrowed in suspicion as she scrutinized them.
Neither of them spoke for a moment, Amy and Naomi engaged in an intense staring match Amy didn't dare back away from. Even though she was scared of her, she wasn't gong to let Naomi touch her friend no matter what.
"I went down to Earth for a couple of minutes, Amy's innocent!" Signe blurted, her gaze dropping to the floor in shame.
"I just wanted to see what it was like." She explained softly, tears rapidly welling up in her eyes.
"It's a shame your loyalty was misplaced." Naomi looked between Amy and Signe before snapping her fingers.
A scream ripped its way free from Amy's throat as she suddenly started free falling, the ground she was previously standing on now gone. She felt an intense fiery pain in her wings as her long blond hair whipped around her. The last thing she saw before passing out was a golden ball of light as she continued her descent before hitting the ground like a meteor.
