Gilbert's POV:
"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!" I mumble as I struggle to sit up in a rather comfortable red velvet bed. I had woken up just a few minutes ago, trying to remember what the hell had happened before I passed out. All I can remember is a searing pain hitting my chest and me grabbing Mattie, escaping through the hole in the clouds before... I passed out?
How did we land so safely if I did?
Was Mattie okay? Was he still with me down here? We're his wings in tact?
See, down here in hell, we have a policy. If an Angel is found at any point in time by a demon, it is either killed or has it's wings broken and is dragged to the dungeons of hell. Yes, we stereotypically have dungeons which are pretty dam hot and uncomfortably cobble stone based.
As I continue to ponder for Mattie's safety, a small knock can be heard at the door. I sit up straight, mentally wincing, before strictly saying, "Come in."
A bleach blonde and sky blue eyed male proceeds to walk through the door on the far right hand side of the room.
I visibly relax in my brother's, Ludwig Bielschmit's, presence.
"*BRÜDER! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU! I MISSED YOU!" I exclaim at the pale blonde, making him grunt in response.
"Office empty, no note, you gone. What were you thinking brüder?! You could have died! You could have been seen by an Angel! What would I have done then?!" Luddy sighs. He then rushes over to give me a tight hug.
Ludwig is not really the emotional type. He tends to keep his hands to himself a lot, so it's a present suprise when I get a hug.
I hug back in return before turning back to speak with him.
"So, how were things while I was gone? I was gone for, like, two days? Three? I can't remember. How are you? How are Tony and Francy Pants? Did they survive without me?" I fire several questions in his direction, seeing his calculating yet stoic facial expression.
"Um, things ran smoothly as usual whilst you were gone brüder. Everybody knows you are the most powerful demon, so it's only natural that even in your absence people will continue to fear you. Antonio and Français are fine, although they miss you. Yes, they survived." He answers in return.
"However, if I may inquire?" He asks a question to be able to ask a question... Ha!
"Kesesesese." I laugh a little before replying with, "Sure, fire away!"
"Well, it seems as though you contracted a severe wound from a sakhnsjkj iron tipped arrow. When you arrived at the door, you were accompanied with a small Angel (A/N yes, I know Mattie is canonlly taller than Gil. I DON'T CARE! Xx) with noticeable wavy light blonde hair and violet eyes. Do you know the Angel? What do you propose I do with it?"
"I know this is going to sound like I'm not answering any of your questions, but I need to know. Did you hurt him?!" I ask, nervously anticipating the answer.
"*Nien, we did not hurt him too badly. We obviously had to follow the procedure of breaking his wings and ruffing him up a little bit, just as a safety precaution. He put up quite a fight as well, before he gave in. A quiet one though." West answers with conviction. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, before answering the previous questions.
"Yes, I know the Angel. His name is Matthew Williams and he has just recently stolen a foxthorn flower from the front garden. It was, however, for an important cause. His brother had been badly injured by a demon and was in desperate need of attention. I decided that once his brother had woken up from his coma, Matthew would have to come with me down to hell to live here eternally. I also offered the Angels a bargain price: I get Mattie and they get the peace and end of the attacks that they desperately need. They agreed, but now I may have to reconsider." I reply, cautiously.
"Also, as a response on what to do with him, you must leave that with me. I can handle him from here on out." I say in a strict tone, one I barely use with Luddy.
"Very well, brüder. I trust you know what you are doing. He is down in the dungeons, cell 68, the lock code is "42 42 564" or "Knock On Death's Door".
"Danke. See you later!" I call as West walks out the room door.
I sit in bed for a few minutes, before rushing (A/N not Russing... Ah the puns. I'm sorry. XD) down stairs to the lowest of the lower floors. The dungeons.
Mattie's POV:
*flashback*
"I slide Gil off my shoulders, gently placing him on the ground. I knock a bit louder. Still, nothing responds to the knocks. I lean in to knock a third time when I am greeted with the opening of the door and two steely blue eyes staring back at me. "Hello... Um. I came with Prussia and the Angels shot this weird tipped arrow thing at him. Can you help him?" I ask, uncertain of my words and quietly pitched. The blue-eyed male nods once and a flash of platinum blonde hair is shown. The tall blonde retreats into the darkness and I mentally decide this is the perfect time to escape and go home. I turn and begin to walk in the opposite direction, prepping for my take off. Then suddenly, all at once, a pack of demons jump on top of me and drag me into hell."
They started with my wings first. They broke the two core bones within them. Ugh. Not again. I'd already had one of those broken by Gilbert. Gil. "Please!" I whisper/scream at the top of my voice, "Please! You have to help Prussia! He could be poisoned!" I try to say. It only comes out muffled though painful shouts. They began dragging me down several flights of stairs, and I started to feel claustrophobic. I can't live down here. The light! I can't say goodbye to the sun! I being panicking and thrashing around, using all of my body weight to my advantage, throwing myself in the opposite direction of the force of the demons clawing at my tender and snowy, pale skin. They, however, decide to use my pain against me, pressing on against my broken wings. It's not long before the doors shut and I can see no more sunlight. I am thrown to the ground as I finally loose my footing, a panting, sweaty, bloody, painful mess of an angel. Close to passing out from exhaustion, I decide to go limp and let them drag me to wherever they were taking me...
*flashback end*
And that's how I ended up in this dungeon cell, number 68.
The floor is incredibly uncomfortable and unhygienic, and the smell is less than pleasant. However, I'm too polite and too quiet to complain. I doubt they'd hear me or even be interested at all if I did. So, I'll make do.
My entire body aches and my head is pounding wildly, along with multiple questions.
"Is Gil okay?! Did he get treatment? I wonder where he is..."
Down the end of the cell hall, I can hear an extremely prominent Prussian accent talking with the guards. I hear footsteps leading closer and closer to my cell door, before I look up and are greeted with blazing Crimson eyes staring straight into mine. Unwavering and solid, showing several emotions. The main one, however, is anger.
The only thought running through my mind over the intense amount of pain is:
"It's okay. He's alive. Gil's alive."
