Thank Doitsu He's Alive.

Gilbert's POV:
Ugh. I hate the dungeons. I hate the smell and the look and all the rats. It is just not an awesome place in any way.

As soon as I had entered the cell, the little Canadian passed out from exhaustion and physical pain. My first thought was: " Oh thank Doitsu he's alive. ", and although I couldn't heal his wings anymore, (my 'abilities' can only heal things every so often under certain circumstances), I could do some good for them.

Heh. He reminds me of a bird with a broken wing. Pretty much helpless.

I pick the newly dubbed "Birdie" (by my brain) up bridal style and carry him past the guards standing outside the cells to my room. I lay him belly down on my comfortable as hell (although hell isnt actually all that comfortable... Why did my brain say that?) bed. It even has a teddy bear mattress and an awesome chick toy. I named him Gilbird when I was just a small demon.

I sigh and whisper out loud, "Thegood old days." with a distant smile on my face. I then laugh my awesome "kesesesese~" at the irony of the Birdie with the bird chick called Gilbird.

After about five minutes I finally remember what I was doing after seeing the oddly bent shape of the wings. This doesn't look too good. It may take a while to heal on its own. "Maybe we have some nectar and ambrosia round here..." My brain thinks. I then dash off the the medical sector of the castle to find some extra large bandages, some tape and a splint as well as, hopefully, some nectar and ambrosia.

I find everything I need in the medical room, except for the nectar and ambrosia. I then remember mine brüder always carries some with him, so he must have some!

I run, yes... RUN, half way across the castle type building to my brother's quarters where I find him working at his desk with loads of files and papers around him, most of them marked: CLASSIFIED or IMPORTANT.

"Heya Luddie! So, seeing as I'm the AWESOME big brother, is there any chance you could spare some nectar and ambrosia for me?" I ask with a small twinkle in my eye and a huge pleading smile on my face. I rarely use this trick, but it rarely fails.

Ludwig takes a glance in my direction before asking, "Mind telling me what it's for?"

I pout and respond like a three year old with, "Can't I have any secrets from my younger brother?" I then laugh a little.

"Hm. I suppose you can have just one. Please be sensible though brüder. You know that stuff is expensive these days." He replies, resting his forehead on his fingertips with his left hand and digging around in his blazer on the back of his chair with three right. He finally hands me a bag full of five squares. I'll only need a couple anyway. I'll keep the rest for myself.

I run out the door after snatching the bag, shouting a, "THANK YOU LUDDY!" as I left his office in a whoosh of air.

I EVENTUALLY make it back with everything to make Birdie's wings fixed up. I set to work straight away.

It's only when I'm done that he wakes up.

Mattie's POV:
Everything hurts.

There's a dull ache in my brain as I feel hands on my wings, moving around. It stings and burns.

I slowly start to readjust myself to the land of the living, trying to open one eye. Although the lighting isn't too bright, it still burns my eyeball to a crisp, making it servilely painful.

I regain my composure and, with watering eyes and a heavy sigh, I open both my eyes little by little until they are fully open and functional. WHOOP WHOOP!

The dull ache is still there but there is an even bigger ache on my back where my wings are. I then vaguely remember getting them pretty much snapped in two by a raging hoard of demons and then being in a cell and looking to to Gil's deep crimson orbs that are called his 'eyes'. Wow. I'm being rather sarcastic in my head now. I'm sorry brain, but you should know that I hate everything when I first wake up from sleeping.

Speaking of Crimson eyes, there's a pair staring at me right in front of my face.

I shoot up from my stomach, but then fall off the other end of the ginormous, luxurious bed, landing extremely ungracefully in a painful pile of arms legs and feathers. Goes to show just how dumb being tall/long can really be. I giggle slightly at my joke.

I make an attempt to sit up as the albino jerk-face laughs his abnormal "kesesesese~" laugh. I can't get up.

Gilbert then graciously offers his hand down to help me up. I, instead, pull him down with me. I laugh extra hard as he comes tumbling down like a large muscly tree with the scream of a 10 year old girl.

After we both stop laughing and giggling, Gil says, "So Birdie, how are you feeling? How did I do with your wings? Sorry about that by the way! Precaution measures. Stuff like that. Although I'm pretty sure mine brüder would love to meet you soon! Without the whole wings thing! He's-"

I cut him off by placing a pale, slender finger on his lips gently, hushing him.

"I'm okay. My head and wings hurt, but that's fine. You e done an excellent job wrapping them up though! They seem almost professional!" I give him a gentle, encouraging smile before continuing with,"I would love to meet your brother also! Although he was nothing like you..."

I trail off at the end, waiting for him to contribute to the conversation next. This is how it goes, right? Most of the conversations through my life have been very one-sided. Either me talking to myself or Al talking my ear off... Al. I miss him already.

I sigh wistfully for a second.

Gil doesn't notice and then goes on to say, "Kesesese~ You're right there Birdie! He's nothing like me at all really! All work and no play!"

I smile again and then yawn gently, coving my hand with my mouth.

This Gil does notice. "Hey, maybe we should get some sleep? It is kind of late."

"Yeah." I respond, rubbing my eyes sleepily even after the sleep I had just had. "Maybe."

I then lay down my head slowly and close my eyes. Just as I drift off to sleep I hear a light whisper in a thick Prussian accent.

"Night Birdie. Sleep well."
