Dmitriev turned his head to look at Sebastian up in a corner near the ceiling and like Komi's sentence triggered it, a swarm of rats came through every crack and crevice in the building. All the socialites panicked as they were surrounded and began running off while the rats started running up the guards and Russian military and ripping at their faces. This caused the guards pointed at me to change their sights to the rats and let go of me. Immediately I punched Dmitriev in the face while Komi hovered above the rats surrounding her. I began looking around the room for her, trying my best not to stomp on the rats as I ran around frantically.

I looked up and around before I saw a person in a dirty hooded jacket with a gas mask over their face holding some sort of glowing device standing at the top of a staircase. They ripped off the mask and I saw Cleo's beautiful smile from ear to ear. A cheesy grin, if you will. She had dry blood and dirt plastered on her own face and clothes, it seemed like she'd been through hell herself, but she didn't care now that she saw me.

Like the parting of the Red Sea, all the rats in between us moved away leaving a runway for me who was in the dead center of the room and her who was on top of the stairs. Well a runway with corpses on it and guests running away with rats in their hair. We then ran straight towards each other and embraced, with me spinning Cleo around in my arms. She looked like she was on the verge of tears of happiness.

"I thought you were dead!" She told me.

"It's going to take a lot more than a measly Russian military to keep me in the ground. The more shocking thing is I thought you were in America?"

"Waller sent a clean up crew after she thought you were all killed storming the base. I was so scared I was never going to see you again!"

"That's funny."

"What?"

"Making sure you stayed alive was the only thing keeping me going." I said. A single tear went down her cheek as she smiled at me.  She let go of me.

"Oh my god, you're smoking! Are you on fire?" She asked. I looked down and saw smoke emanating from my chest where Cleo's head once was.

"I... no, I don't think so... that's interesting."

"What?"

"It's nothing. Nice costume by the way." Then I heard the sound of a gun cocked and turned around to see a Russian guard point his gun at me. That was before multiple rats jumped on his face and he fell to the ground. I quickly grabbed the gun and shot him in the midsection three times as the rats mauled at his face. I turned back to Cleo. "Did you say she sent a cleanup crew?" I asked. As I did so I heard a shotgun repeatedly go off. It sounded like two actually. I looked over to the entrance of the room and saw Harley Quinn riding King Shark as she shot everything that moved and King Shark absorbed the bullets essentially. Peacemaker wasn't far behind, slicing guards with a machete and shooting others. Then from the windows dozens of icicles broke through stabbing an assortment of reds before an ice slide appeared on the balcony and Dr. Snow slid into the ballroom.

"Watch where you throw those things, snowjob!" Peacemaker shouted at her.

"And be careful where you freeze, you could kill some of them!" Cleo said pointing at the rats.

"And do you think I give a rat's ass about-" Caitlin began to say before she looked over at Cleo and saw me standing with her in my arms. "...I see dead people. I guess you really are a ghost now."

"Not your best pun work, Snowflake." I said. At this point everyone not on our side seemed to be taken out of the equation. Cleo let go of me and turned off her machine and the rats all scurried away with the exception of Sebastian running up her shoulder.

"Hungry!" King Shark said pointing at the rats.

"No, Nanaue! You can eat one of the guards if you're so hungry." Cleo said. Harley jumped off of King Shark.

"Wowza, that's gotta be in my like top five prison escapes!" Harley said. It was then that I noticed she was in a white t shirt with an American flag on it underneath her red and black jacket. She looked over at me. "Woah, you clean up nicely for someone being held hostage."

"What exactly are you doing playing dress up when the land of the free is minutes from being blasted to hell in a hand basket?" Peacemaker asked.

"I was left with a team of simple minded subhumans that got massacred instantaneously. If we were going to get the job done with what I had left we were going to have to take an undercover approach. That being said, we have to go find Rick. Dmitriev said that he's been taken by Sidorov and-"

"Yo-ho Yo-ho! A commie's life for me~!" I looked back at the main entrance way and there stood Captain Boomerang with an eyepatch over one of his eyes. "Oi! Sharky boy! Catch!" He said throwing King Shark something. It was Sidorov's head cut off from his body and with a boomerang sticking out of his eye that had recently been covered by the eye patch.

"Nom nom!" King Shark said before devouring the head.

"I'm gonna be sick..." Komi spoke up from behind me.

"Ditto." Caitlin said. Behind Boomerang was Nightshade holding Rick, who had a gunshot wound now.

"I've never had to deal with a less coordinated group in my life." Nightshade said.

"Well, looks like the gang is all here. The problem is now we need to-"

"ВЫПУСТИТЕ ЯДЕРЫ!" We all looked over and saw Dmitriev shouting into a phone on the ground with a black eye. Peacemaker aimed his elongated pistol at Dmitriev but we were then surrounded by a group of Russian military. And by surrounded I mean surrounded. Like a whole branch was here to obliterate your humble narrator and his allies. Dmitriev stood up. "It's game over you fucking scum. The order has been given. Your beloved country will be blasted to hell! And you will meet them there! All that's left is for the virus to be uploaded into your American defenses! And you will all be left dead! Meanwhile me and my bride will be dancing on your corpses!" He said before pulling Komi into his arms.

"I feel like I'm missing a whole lotta context, has anyone seen the other seasons to this show?" Harley asked.

"Blackfire, aren't you forgetting something?" Rick said through gritted teeth pointing at the back of his head.

"You mean those puny American bombs?" Dmitriev looked at one of the guards. "Активируйте глушилки." He instructed one of them and they picked up a remote from their pockets before hitting a button. Everyone from the second squad and Rick held one of their ears in pain and some of them threw out earpieces. "Even though I assume the woman known as 'Waller' has the keys to the explosives you are not able to contact her for the foreseeable future and even if you could, she would be unable to activate them as your bombs have all been neutralized."

"Oh they have, have they?" Boomerang asked. "In that case, if ye don't mind I'm just gunna-" He began to say as he walked away right into a marble column. "OW! BLOODY EYEPATCH GETTING IN ME WAY!" He said throwing it off and then turning around into a machine gun barrel pointed in his face.

"Dumbass." Caitlin rolled her eyes.

"We can take the bomb out from your head,
My queen." Dmitriev told Komi.

"Y-you can?" She asked.

There's no way she's considering this.

We've been over this Good Doctor. Yet you never learn your lesson.

"Yes. Together we will rule the world. You can have anything and everything you want. Our enemies will be tortured day by day by us."

"...Call me princess."

"Of course my princess."

"... Yeah, no, doesn't feel the same." She said before shooting him in the chest with a laser beam. He collapsed down to the ground.

"I wanted to do that!" I said. All the guns pointed at Komi now.

"Fuck off! You're nothing more than ants ganging up on a dinosaur!" She shouted turning around to face them all. Then I noticed Dmitriev was still moving.

"KOMAND'R BEHIND YOU!" I shouted as Dmitriev stood up and stabbed her through the stomach with Rose's knife that had been taken from me moments ago.

"Ow! Fuck! Don't you humans need your hearts to survive!? Why is he still breathing!?" Komi shouted in more annoyance than scared for her life which caused me to breathe a sigh of relief.

"The heart is on the other side of the body, dumbass!" Caitlin called out.

"Fine then! Perish with the rest of your kin! You last bastions of American Freedom-" Dmitriev began to say before Harley, Caitlin, and Boomerang began to laugh.

"What's so funny? That's what we are!" Peacemaker said. "Or at least I am."

"Silence! You will be executed in front of a televised audience as the nukes are launched and I laugh with-..." He began to say before looking around like he had forgotten someone and I realized we were also missing someone. "Where is-"

"SLLLLAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDE!" I heard Tara shout before the ground to the ballroom started shaking. Everyone was knocked off balance. Then the ground was opened up and debris started falling around everyone. Someone went flying through a wall and into a dozen guards like a bowling ball and knocked them all down. It was Rose.

"Is that Slade Wilson's daughter?" Nightshade asked.

"Wait, (Y,N)! You never said the mole was Rose Wilson!" Rick said.

"I didn't think the last name was important!" I said. Cleo grabbed onto me as the floor started to fall apart. Rose looked around in anger before picking up an AK from one of the military goon corpses. She then looked at Dmitriev.

"Hey! Numb nuts! Protect your fucking girlfriend, you pussy!" She shouted at him as she dodged stalagmites coming out of the ground. Tara came out of the hole in the wall and jumped onto a rock pillar that appeared instantly, her whole body was engulfed in a yellow light. The walls to the room crumbled about as she kept shooting at Rose who in turn was shooting at her. While the guards were distracted by the chaos, Rick grabbed one of the military guards' guns and began shooting at them while debris fell on others and the other members of the Squad attacked except me, Cleo, and Komi.

"We need to get out of here!" Cleo said.

"I'm not leaving without her! She's going to kill herself!" I said looking at Tara.

"That's the point, mate! Dyin' for the sake of the union or some gobshite like that!" Boomerang told me as she decapitated some more military guards looking for an exit that wouldn't get him squashed. Rose frantically tried to shoot Tara who kept her guard up with rock walls and whatnot before having a giant rock pillar smash into Rose's back and she went flying into the pillar Tara was standing on. Rose struggled to get up and just barely dodged stalactites now coming from Tara's pillar. As the stalactites hit the ground, it began to open up and people began randomly falling through.

"This whole fucking place is collapsing!" Rick said. "Everyone down Frost's slide! Let's go!" He said. Everyone went with for the most part, then the floor collapsed around Cleo and I, so even if I was going with them we were going to be stuck. Komi went to go too but she was stabbed again by Dmitriev and she fell off the  bit of ground she was on as the ground crumbled underneath Dmitriev too.

"Fuck! Dammit I don't think I can fly! I'm kinda losing it here!" Komi said actually scared this time. Everyone had evacuated at this point beside me, Cleo, Komi, Tara, and Rose.

"If there was any time to test a prototype it would be now!" I told myself before pulling up my sleeve and revealed the contraption I had made in the hotel room. Or more, my gloves that I had updated the design to. "Komi! Hold out your hand!" I ordered her and she listened. I pressed a button on the side of the glove and it shot out a tether that wrapped around her wrist. "This is going to hurt but don't let go!" I told her before I pulled her over. She swung into what was basically a column that Cleo and I were now standing on. I dragged her up and Cleo helped me pull her up as well. She climbed up and as soon as she was all the way up she hugged me. That's when I saw Dmitriev climb back onto the piece of rock he and Komi were on.

"Can't he ever fucking die!?" Komi asked.

"SAVE ME! I WILL GIVE ANYTHING SO THAT THIS BITCH DOES NOT KILL ME!" Dmitriev shouted.

"...Okay." I said.

"What!?" Cleo and Komi shouted at the same time.

"You'll give me anything I want!?" I called out to Dmitriev.

"YES! ACK-" He coughed up blood. "ANYTHING!"

"Alright then." I said aiming my hand at him. I shot out the tether again. "I'll just take YOUR LIFE!" I said before hitting the button again and a switchblade shot out the end and collided with his Adam's apple. I pulled him forward and he fell into the abyss below between us. "Five! Ahahaha! FIVE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"(Y,N) what is-"

"GIVE HIM BACK YOU BASTARD!" Komi shouted as she grabbed me by the shoulders and began to shake me.

"Oh no, long live Komand'r, princess of no one! She's being abandoned again! Ahahahahaha-"

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU SLADE!" I blinked and regained composure for but a second. Komi realized it and stopped shaking me.

"(Y,N), look!" She said then pointing me to look at Tara. Tara was screaming and throwing everything she could at Rose.

NO! YOU'RE CHEATING! LET ME OUT! YOU CANNOT RELEASE ME FOR A MERE TWO SECONDS AND THROW ME BACK IN!

"She's going to trap herself again like last time! We've gotta do something!"

I have to save Tara.

I'LL KILL YOU! I MEAN IT DAMN YOU!

Kill me after she lives.

I turned into smoke before flying up and onto Tara's podium. She was screaming, shaking, crying and just throwing her arms up, no longer aiming her fury at Rose who was barely hanging onto a bit of floor next to Caitlin's ice slide, but instead just trying to bring the whole place down. And as I flew up, I noticed there was still a bit of ceiling left above her, but it was getting ready to crush her. As fast as I could, I turned back into my human form and pushed her off the pillar and onto some of the few remaining stairs. She immediately jumped on top of me and was about to throw a punch at me until she saw it was me.

"If it makes you feel any better, the three of us all still have abandonment issues." I said. Her yellow aura started to vanish as she cried into my chest.

"I-it's him! H-he-he's b-back!" She told me.

"It's not him! He's not here, okay? He's still dead. And you're not." I told her before lifting her up. "But if you want to keep it that way, we have to go. Now. I'm not letting you hurt yourself again, okay?" She nodded. "We need to get out and so do Komi and Cleo."

"Cleo?" She said in confusion.

"While you were having a tantrum a whole different Suicide Squad showed up. The fact we haven't already died is immaculate. We need to get out or else we'll be buried alive. Don't want that?"

"No! Fuck no!"

"Alright, but I need you to try to help Komi and Cleo first. Komi can't fly right now and Cleo isn't a meta." I said pointing at them staring at us. Tara nodded and her hand started to glow again as she raised it and the ground Cleo and Komi stood on began to rise. She guided it over to the slide and dumped them off onto it. Rose then jumped up, realizing she was next to the exit and slid down it herself.

"No! She-"

"She's surrounded by 10 other members of the Suicide Squad. She's not making it out of here. And neither are we if we don't get moving!" I said. Tara finally grabbed onto me and just started running. "WOAH WAIT WHAT ARE YOU-"

"SHUT UP AND LET ME FOCUS!" She told me as she took a giant leap and rocks began materializing underneath her. The roof finally gave way behind us and as it caught up Tara hopped on one last rock and it went flying out of the building before she jumped off, dragging me with her as we plummeted into the snow with everyone else. We landed on the ground sprawled out, still holding hands. "You alive?"

"Yeah. You?"

"Yeah. Thanks to you." Tara said. "(Y,N), I... I-"

"I can't believe you made us wait for these stupid millennial dorks!" Peacemaker shouted. I looked up and saw Peacemaker getting in Rick's face.

"No man of mine will ever be left behind!" Rick said.

"And because of that, America probably looks like the end of Fallout right about now!"

"Which one?" Harley asked. Tara and I stood up and looked around at the squad that all made it out in time. Komi and Cleo seemed to be talking about something and Cleo was blushing and smiling while playing with her hair. It was really cute. Komi however looked like she had a sad smile for some reason. Then we all turned our attention to Rose rising up from the snow. Rick and Peacemaker both aimed their guns at her as she looked around.

"...Ah hell." Rose said.

"Give us one reason not to blow your brains back to King George, Benedict Arnold." Peacemaker said.

"What?" Cleo, Caitlin, Nightshade, and I all said while Harley also went "What they said."

"Because she's a traitor! She's betrayed her country!"

"Benedict Arnold betrayed America for England. You couldn't think of any Russian traitors?" Nightshade asked.

"No one would betray America for this shithole." Peacemaker retorted.

"She's literally an American traitor that went to Russia!" Caitlin told him.

"Okay, name one other person who's betrayed the American people for Russians."

"Ronald Reagan." Caitlin said with a smirk. Peacemaker gasped and pointed his gun at her.

"You shut your goddamn whore mouth!" He said.

"Put the gun down, Peacemaker! Or at least point it at the fucking turncoat!" Rick said.

"Ain't ole Ronny a sleeper agent for these commie bastards Anyways?" Boomerang asked.

"Reagan's been dead for 20 years and Russia hasn't been communist for even longer than that! I just said Reagan because I knew it would annoy Pissmaker over here." Caitlin said.

"Russia's not a communist country!?" Tara and I asked at the same time.

"Wait so are they Nazis now?" Komi asked confused on all of this probably.

"WOAH!" Everyone except Rick, Tara, and I (and King Shark who probably didn't know what was going on) said.

"It's okay! She's just misinformed! We're catching her up on Earth politics later!" I said.

"Uh, guys? Are we forgetting something?" Cleo asked pointing at Rose starting to try to sneak away causing Peacemaker to shoot Rose in the arm.

"OW! FUCK!" She said before sitting back down in the snow. "Relax! You dickweeds already spoiled my plans! Now I'm never getting paid." She pouted the last part.

"Getting paid!? You're about to get millions of people killed just for money!?" Nightshade asked.

"Not just for money, but I mean, none of you bumbling morons need to know what else goes on inside this pretty head of mine." Rose said.

"I know a way of finding out what's inside." Peacemaker said aiming his gun at her forehead.

"Do it and you never find out how you can still stop the nukes."

"There's still a way to stop them?" Rick asked.

"She's lying! She's just trying to get out alive!" Tara said. Tara grabbed my hand and held on tight, almost like a restraint to stop her from going apeshit again.

"Look, bitch, I don't know what your whole deal is with me or why you act like you know me but I have nothing to gain from lying except hope you all die trying to stop the bombs from going off." She pulled out a cigarette and her lighter again. She lit the cigarette before looking at me. "Hey, pretty boy, catch." She said throwing the lighter at me. I caught it and looked at it. Tara gasped and her knees kinda buckled as she looked at it over my shoulder.

"I-it really is him..." She whispered.

"Counter virus is at the bottom of the lighter." I pulled it out and there was a usb there. "The virus hasn't been fully uploaded into the US defense system yet considering its cross continental hacking. You've got two options. You either get through to the nuclear war room and upload the counter virus to cause Russia's defenses to shut down instead or to disable the nukes so bad that Russia won't be able to use one again for another 60 years, and that's only if they make the nukes from scratch."

"Why would there be a counter virus?" Caitlin asked.

"In case Dmitriev fucked me over, and would you look at that? He's dead and I'm broke with a toilet pointing a gun at me." Rose said.

"What base do we even go to exactly?" I asked.

"Same one we broke out of. It's not too far." Cleo said. "Sebastian found where the warheads were when he was looking for a way out."

"You guys got arrested?" I asked.

"We'll have a lot to talk about later." Cleo said. She smirked at me like the sentence had a double meaning.

"That's Suicide even with eleven of us." Peacemaker said. "I'm sure it's tighter than Kristen Stewart's vagina in Fort Knox in there." Everyone was just staring at Peacemaker now.

"You don't get to do similes anymore. You've lost your similes right." Caitlin said.

"He's got a point. We wouldn't possibly be able to get through the base with what they had guarding there in the first place, LET alone whatever extra measures they have to guard their nuclear warheads. We had to sneak out a back way to make it out alive." Nightshade said.

"Nine of us turned into four the last time we attacked a base. As much as it pains ME to say it, I don't see how we win here." Rick said.

"So what? We're just OUT of ideas? Game over? We all get our heads blown off?" Caitlin asked.

"...I have an idea." I said. Everyone looked over at me and I looked back at Tara. She stared at me wondering what I was hinting at before she gasped and she looked angry at me for even insinuating it.

"No."

"No what?" Peacemaker asked.

"We'll find another way!"

"Another way from what?" Cleo asked.

"Move it, Tara." I said.

"I won't! We'll do something else!"

"Let him out, Tara."

"Wot? You got Solomon Grundy or sumthin' under there?" Boomerang asked. I started taking off the suit I was in.

"There's no other options. Either we all die or you listen to me." I said.

"(Y,N) what are you doing?" Cleo asked concerned.

"What's more important is what you'll be doing. You are going to run. All of you except Peacemaker and... let's say Harley. I need them to pull the plug in case things get out of hand. Nightshade you can teleport between shadowy places correct?"

"How did you-"

"I did some reading in Belle Reeve. You'll teleport me and the other two into the base." I handed Peacemaker the USB. "I will clear the way for them to upload the counter virus as long as they aren't faint of heart. You will get to the chopper Waller told us about that's coming for extraction right about now and then bring it over to the base to pick up what... remains after we're done."

"So your plan is to go from 11 v 300 to 3 v 300. You a special kind of crazy?" Peacemaker asked.

"Exactly." He said before looking at Tara again.

"Wait, no. (Y,N) this isn't you you have to stop you're gonna-"

"I know what I'm doing." He interrupted Komi.

"We're not-"

"Waiting any longer. Move the rock or I kill him now. He had until midnight. It's 11:59. Last chance." He said. Tara let out a defeated whimper and moved the fountain. He summoned moved his hand forward and the scythe flew into it.

"I-I don't even get to say goodbye?" Komi asked.

"Me neither?" Tara added.

"What are you talking about!? What is he going to do!?" Cleo asked. She had gotten more and more distressed as things went on. He walked over to the hole in the ground where the fountain once was and approached the cloak.

"I know their every move behind this face. I have control over expendable slaves." He whispered to himself, looking back at Terra, Blackfire, and Ratcatcher. He tied the cloak around his neck. "When confrontation comes down to the wire- hehehehehe... I'll use all in my power to commence the fire! Ahahahahahahaha!"

"What the fuck?" Killer Frost asked.

"I don't like the type of deja vu I'm gettin'..." Harley Quinn said.

"You think this is funny? If you let America get blown up for your sick kicks, don't think for a second I won't get you back for it!" Peacemaker said.

"You're never gonna get me. You're never gonna get me. You're never gonna get me, I'm the-" He said before I looked back at Cleo, Tara, and Komi specifically one last time.

"I told you there was a reason I don't do the whole friends thing." I said.

"(Y,N) DON'T-" Komi said before I pulled the mask on and everything went black for a moment.

"...(Y-Y,N)?" Tara called out. Then he let out a fierce cackle.

"YOU'RE NEVER GONNA GET ME! YOU'RE NEVER GONNA GET ME! YOU'RE NEVER GONNA GET ME-" He turned around and met their eyes with his own evil glowing red ones.

"I'M THE CRIMSON GHOST!"
