Chapter 11
3rd Person P.O.V
Three weeks had passed since the boiler room incident. Jasmine had been released from the hospital a week prior, and had spent much time with Veronica, both in school and out of school. The two's refusal to be apart from each other had led to the Heathers accepting Jasmine into the group, and Veronica had been surprised how quickly friendship had formed, but she was glad for it, since she had been a little bit worried about having to choose who to remain with, even though she knew she would choose to stay with Jasmine. They had also confided in Chandler about what had really happened the day of the pep rally, and the blonde had promised to keep the secret. That particular day, after school had ended, Jasmine and Veronica had gone to the 7-Eleven, which had become a bit of a tradition for them, and afterwards, Veronica would be going to Chandler's house to spend some time with the Heathers. After arriving at the 7-Eleven, the two had bought slushies, with Veronica choosing a cherry flavour slushie, while Jasmine opted for a strawberry-kiwi slushie. Neither of them spoke much, but they didn't need to, as being in each other's company was enough for them. Once the two had finished their slushies and thrown away the empty cups, they left the store, walking over to Jasmine's motorbike.
"Are you sure you don't want a lift to Heather's house? You know I'd be happy to take you." Jasmine said. While she knew Veronica could handle herself, she couldn't help but be uneasy, since she knew how unpredictable her father could be.
"I'll be fine. It's only a few minutes walk. But I love that you care for me so much." Veronica answered.
"That's because I love you, Ronnie." Jasmine said, before leaning down slightly to kiss her girlfriend. Veronica couldn't help but give a small laugh, as Jasmine could certainly be charming when she wanted to be.
"Aw, I love you too, Jasmine. And feel free to come by my house this evening. My mom is always asking when you're next coming round." Veronica said, earning a soft smile from the hazel-eyed girl.
"Alright then, I'll see you tonight." Jasmine said. She watched Veronica walk away, before getting on her motorbike and riding to the park, which was one of her favourite places to go when she needed some time alone. She reached the park and parked her motorbike, before walking over to one of the trees and climbing up to sit on one of the branches, giving a light smile as she looked at the view she had been provided with from her spot.

Evening soon came. Jasmine had returned to her house a few hours prior to get some reading in, and had now left her house and was on her way to Veronica's house. Any excuse for her to not be in her house, she would take. It only took her a few minutes to get to Veronica's house on her motorbike, but the ride there was relatively peaceful. Once she got there, she parked her motorbike on the driveway, before getting off and locking it, and then walked to the front door and knocked. Moments later, the door opened to reveal Mrs Sawyer.
"Jasmine! It's lovely to see you again, dear. Veronica is upstairs in her room." Mrs Sawyer said, stepping back to let Jasmine in.
"Thanks, Mrs Sawyer." Jasmine said, entering the house and heading upstairs. She easily found Veronica's room and knocked on the door before entering, finding Veronica sitting on the bed. Veronica turned around when she heard the door open, and gave a smile when she saw Jasmine there.
"Glad you could come. I missed you." Veronica said, earning a light chuckle from Jasmine.
"It's only been a few hours since you last saw me, Ronnie." Jasmine said, taking a seat next to the blue-clad girl and putting an arm around her.
"I know, but still." Veronica retorted, leaning into Jasmine's hold. The two stayed like that for several minutes, before Veronica finally worked up enough courage to bring up the topic she knew she needed to talk to Jasmine about.
"So, I talked to Heather a few weeks ago. It was the day before the pep rally, and she ended up telling me about something." Veronica said.
"Which was?" Jasmine questioned. Veronica wasn't sure how Jasmine was going to react to the next piece of information, but there was only one way to find out.
"She still has feelings for you, but apparently she's also had feelings for me since the end of junior year. But she kept quiet because you and I started dating." Veronica answered.
"And what are your thoughts about the whole thing?" Jasmine asked. Veronica pushed her nerves down, since she knew she had to give a truthful answer.
"Truthfully, I've also had feelings for Heather since junior year. But then I met and fell in love with you, and I don't want to have to choose between the two of you. And if you still happen to have feelings for Heather, then I don't want to have to make you choose between us, because that would make me look like the jealous possessive girlfriend." Veronica admitted. Jasmine listened to this, before giving a slight nod.
"I have to admit, you are right that I do still harbour some feelings for Heather. But you were also the first person to break through the façade I've had up since I was fourteen, and you were willing to give me another chance even though I didn't deserve one after everything I put you through. And that's what I love about you. You care about everyone, even if they're awful to you. And I'm not overly fond of the idea of having to choose between the two of you. If Heather is willing, the three of us might be able to be together at the same time. That is, if Heather is open to the idea of polyamory. We'll have to talk to her about that tomorrow." Jasmine said, to which Veronica nodded in agreement.
"On another topic, how would you feel about moving in with me and my family? So then you wouldn't have to stay with your father." Veronica offered.
"I'll consider it. Let's talk with Heather first, and then we'll talk more about that. But it's definitely something I would be more than happy to do." Jasmine answered, earning a happy smile from Veronica. The brunette had to agree that that would be an easier solution. She just hoped everything went smoothly. It wasn't too long after that before both girls were called down to dinner, before heading to bed shortly after finishing. Both of them were slightly nervous about what the new day would bring, but they were determined not to let it get the better of them.

The next day, Jasmine and Veronica headed to Chandler's house, both unsure of how the upcoming conversation was going to go. However, Jasmine was getting a nasty feeling that something was wrong, but she couldn't quite place what it was. Veronica knocked on the front door, and they only had to wait a few minutes before the door opened to reveal Chandler's mother, Susan Chandler.
"Hi, Mrs Chandler. Is Heather here? We need to talk to her." Veronica said, though neither she or Jasmine were expecting what they heard.
"Heather isn't here. She never came home yesterday. I already checked with Heather and Heather's parents, but she didn't stay at either of their houses last night." Susan answered. Jasmine and Veronica exchanged uneasy looks. Chandler had gone missing, and they both had a sinking feeling that they knew exactly who was behind it.
