4.Surprise

"Take it slow."

***

I slide up the key into the old wooden door of my dorm, it creaks open and a gasp escapes my lips. My eyes are fixed on the side opposite to my bed. It is not the same as I left it in the morning. The walls are adorned with photographs and medals hanging, the table has too many show pieces and the window sill has a wind chime on. Great! Now I'd have to listen it rattle all the time. The dressing table has more products than I can put my finger on. I clearly remember just having a body lotion there. All in all it was too girlish for me.

"Hi Estelle." I jump.

Turning around I see a girl with blonde hair, eyes perfectly winged with the liner and make up on point. She is wearing a red leather jacket and white top underneath, with black skinny jeans and boots.

Suddenly I feel naked.

"Hi?" I question.

"I'm Marzia Palvin." She says, offering a smile. "I just moved to full boarding from day boarding." I'm still frozen in place at the door, providing her no room to walk in. I'm sure she is weirded out by me.

I get quite uncomfortable when someone walks into my personal space and literally this room was my personal space. Now I'd have to be careful with my things to not to freak out the new girl.

"Nice to meet you." I try to smile.

"She chuckles and shakes her head. "We share English and math together." She walks past me, into the room and sits on the bed, up her elbows.

I choke.

I had no freaking idea!

I zone out completely till she waves me back to reality.

"Earth to Estelle." She chuckles heartily.

Say something Estelle. Don't be this weird.

I try to speak but nothing comes out of my mouth. Weird abstracts run through my mind but nothing that could be a coherent whole.

Anything. Estelle. Say anything.

"Well then it's nice to know you better." I shrug, close the door behind me and sit on my bed, pick the first book I get my hands on and let it engulf me into its world.

Well it may seem rude of me to not talk to my roommate and ignore her like this but boy, do I give a fuck?

I am rude. It's just the way I am.

So if she hates me in the future. I don't blame her.

A knock sounds at the door and the door creaks open. There stands the last person I wanted to see.

Or maybe the first. My subconscious remarks.

Edward!

I mentally groan when my eyes travel behind Edward to see another person coming into view from behind him and standing beside him.

Tristan!

Again, why are they in my room?

"Hi Estelle." Tristan smiles cheekily at me and my eyes widen in shock. From the corner of my eye I see Edward. His straight face gives away nothing of what he is thinking and may I add, I'm disappointed.

I open my mouth to question what he is doing in my room but Marzia speaks before I can. "Just give me a second guys. I need to find my phone." She says as she struggles to find her phone on the bed.

My eyes travel to the crystal green eyed boy leaning against the wall. He is wearing a white shirt and you can see his perfectly toned body through it. He catches me staring at him and I expect him to be back with his snarky comments but he doesn't utter a word. Instead, he rolls his eyes and pulls out his cellphone and fiddles with it.

I turn my attention to Tristan who is watching me curiously and winks when I look at him.

"Bye Estelle." Marzia waves at me after grabbing her black bag from the bed and walks out the door with them.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as the door closes behind her.
