CASSIE STONE HAS MADE HER FAIR SHARE OF MISTAKES. Five years and a half years ago Cassie Stone had found out she was pregnant, four hours later, she found out from her mum and dad that her older siblings and nephew's plane went missing. Cassie had never been mature, or responsible but from moment on, she knew she had to change that. She moved in with her brother's family and helped her sister-in-law raise her niece. A year later her daughter was born and she named her after she sister, Michaela.

Now her brother, sister and nephew are back and exactly the same. Although Cassie is nothing like the irresponsible younger sister they knew before. Now is Cassie's chance to show her siblings that she isn't the screw up that she was before.

MJ WAS ON THE PLANE because she had been expelled from yet another school and her parents decided to make her spend the summer with her aunt as punishment. The last thing MJ said to her mother and father was that she hated them. Five and a half years later, she lands back in New York, only to find out that she should technically be eighteen and that three years ago her parents died in a car crash.

Now an orphan and still the same troubled teenager, MJ meets the Stone family and helps them discover the mystery of flight 828.
