Texts between Drew and Thea

Drew: Thea I thought you were still over seas

Thea: Drew I got shot and was sent home a week ago. I don't want Mom or Dad to find out.

Drew: Why are you keeping it from them?

Thea: it's hard to explain Drew.

Drew: I'm always here for you if you need to talk.

Thea: I know

Drew: I love you

Jordan texts Drew.

Jordan: Drew we have a building fire we need all the help we can get tonight. I'm sorry but we could really use your help

Drew: I'm on my way

"Where you going" Lexi asks as drew had just gotten up from his spot on the sofa where they were sitting together.

"Building fire they need more hands" Drew briefly explains.

"I'll drive" Lexis mother says stepping outta the kitchen.

"It's ok" Drew replies looking at Lexi who only shrugs her shoulders.

"I'll drive it won't be a problem" her mother insists.

The car ride was quite silent.

"Thank you for looking after her, she is my everything" Lexi's mother says.

"She means everything to me too" Drew says.

Soon enough they are at the hospital.

"Thank you" Drew says jumping outta his truck watching his girlfriends mother drive away before making his way into the hospital.

"Drew thank god your here" Jordan says.

"What is it?" He asks.

"Fire at a hotel mass amounts of smoke inhalation victims, as well as some burn victims." Jordan says.

"Drew with me we need help with triage on site" TC yells.

"Stay safe" Jordan says.

"You work on triage I'm gonna go in" TC says.

"TC no" Drew yells but the man was making his way towards the building. "TC"

"Mr. I need your help" a little girl says tapping Drews arm to get his attention.

"What's up" Drew says bending down to the girls level. He looks her over and notices something.

"Gwen I need help over here" Drew yells. He pulls of his firemen jacket laying it on the wet pavement.

"Hey sweetie what's your name" Gwen asks coming over noticing what Drew saw wrong with the girl.

"Harper, my mom was inside is she ok too?" The girl asks.

"Gwen I need blankets to help stabilize her body so we can move her to the hospital" Drew says.

"I'll go get a back board and a c-collar too" Gwen says.

"Mr. Is my mom ok?" Harper asks.

"Harper you can call me Drew, and honey I don't know" Drew says Gwen coming back with the board and blankets.

"Sweetie I'm Gwen, I'm gonna help Dr.Alister make you better" Gwen says.

"You mean Mr. Drew" Harper questions.

"Harper this might hurt but let me help get you in a position where you can't do any damage to yourself" Drew explains.

"Ok" She says clearly scared.

"Hey, now, now don't be scared Drew is one of the best doctors I know. He won't stop until he knows your ok" Gwen says Harper calming down.

"I'm gonna pick you up ok" Drew says moving towards Harper.

"Carlos can we have your assistance over here" Gwen asks.

"What do you need" Carlos asks having jogged over.

"We need the towels and blankets to cushion her incase there's bumps, one wrong move" Drew says.

"Gwen with me in the ambulance" Drew says.

The girl is loaded and they are on there way.

"Her oxygen levels are dropping" Gwen says.

"Mask is going on" Drew says sliding the mask over Harpers face.

"What do we got" Scott asks.

"Glass penetrated her abdomen not sure if it damaged anything significantly" Drew says.

"I want my mommy" Harper cries. 

"Where's TC" Jordan asks.

"Last time I saw the dumbass he was running into the burning building" Drew says as the move Harper to the bed.

"Drew! Gwen! Stay with me please" Harper yells.

"I'm right here sweetie"Drew says "Gwen's gonna go see if they can find your momma"

"My dad took my sister, these jobs where my way to search for her. My mom hadn't caught on till this one." the nine year old explains.

"Drew" Gwen says.

Drew looks up at the paramedic sorrow in her eyes shaking her head side to side.

"Harper I'll be right back. I promise I'll be back." Drew says.

"Her mom TC tried to save but she was DOA, he found this in the little girls stuff" Gwen says handing Drew a picture.

"That's her sister" He says.

"Where'd she go?" Drew asks entering the trauma room previously occupied by Harper.

"The OR" Mollie says Drew and TC who'd just entered running there.

"Drew we got news, her father started that hotel fire, we got him on video, we used facial recognition to match him with his wanted picture" Rick says entering the ER.

"She's coming home with me Lexi and I'll protect her if he somehow finds her" Drew says.

"We have an Alert out to patrol to look for him" Rick explains.

Drew heads home after he's not need anymore and he knows Rick is protecting Harper. 

"Lexi let's go for a walk" he says upon entering the house.

"What is it?" Lexi asks.

"I have two questions, the first" Drew says getting down on one knee reaching into his pocket pulling out a ring. "Will you marry me?"

"Hell yes, now the second one?" Lexi asks turning all serious.

"Hotel fire was started by the an individual who kidnapped one of his daughters the mother DOA was searching unknowingly until today with her nine year old daughter for her sister" Drew starts.

"You want to adopt this girl" Lexi says.

"Yeah are you ok with that? If not I can help find her someone else she'll like" Drew says.

"When can I meet my new daughter" Lexi says. 

"I hoped you'd say that" Drew says picking Lexi up spinning her around before placing her down and kissing her.

"I love you Alister" Lexi says.

"Love you too Wilson" Drew responds.
