When Lexi wakes up she sees her mother.

"Mom" she says.

"Young lady this was not how I thought I'd ever find out you were in a relationship let alone pregnant but all I can say is my granddaughter is beautiful" Lexi's mother says kissing her daughter on the forehead.

"Mom I'm sorry for not telling you, I've just been busy" Lexi replies a knock on the door stopping her from saying anything else.

"Come in" Lexi says as an older couple enters a woman Drews' age with them. 

"Mom, Dad, Thea" Drew says in shock. 

"Hi I'm Lexi nice to meet you" Lexi says introducing herself to Drews' family.

"Dude your gonna propose to this women soon, right?" Thea says quietly into her brothers ear.

"I was but then things happened" Drew whispers back.

"What are you two gonna name my granddaughter?" Drews' father asks.

"Harley" Drew responds.

"Hey, Drew I'm, I'm not feeling to great" Lexi says. Drew snapping his head in her direction. He takes notice to her shallow breathing after she says that.

"Mom hold the baby" Drew says handing his mother the baby he had just taken from Lexi's arms. The baby that was now crying.

He lowers the head of the bed pulling the pillow from under Lexi's head.

"I've got you" Drew says

"I love you" Lexi mutters reaching her hand up as Drew reaches for the oxygen mask behind him, he holds it in his other hand.

"This should help you breath" Drew says putting a oxygen mask over her face.

"What happened" Jordan says entering the room.

"Her oxygen levels dropped" Drew replies.

"Her levels are good now so that's good" Jordan observes.

"Yeah she should be good to go home soon" Drew says.

"She can leave tomorrow" Scott says entering the room.

The next night Lexi got outta her hospital bed, getting dressed in the clothes she had asked Drew to bring her, a pair of his sweatpants and one of his shirts.

Jordan walks in with a teal baby carrier, in her arms.

"Ready to go get your baby girl?" She asks.

"Yeah" Lexi replies.

"Drew's gonna have the next few weeks off, but has to be on call incase we need him to help out" Jordan says trying to lift the women's spirits.

"Ok" she replies. 

"What's wrong" Jordan asks.

"Nothing" Lexi replies as they turn into the ward where the babies are kept.

What was wrong, Lexi always thought when she was younger she'd have a father to go through life with her. That wasn't how it ended up. She thought about how he'd like to have met Drew how he'd like the love of her life as much as she did.

"Harley aren't you just a sweet heart" Lexi hears Drew talking to the baby.

"I'm sorry" Lexi says running away from Jordan, Drews' attention being brought to her.

"What happened?" Drew asks.

"Beats me, she won't talk about it" Jordan says.

"Jordan can you finish getting Harley ready to go, my parents are waiting in the waiting room down in the ER, I think I know where she went" Drew says handing her Harley making his way towards the tailgate.

When he gets there he sees Lexi staring out at the stars.

"Drew I miss him" Lexi says. "I always thought till the day he was gone he'd be with me through everything"

"Lexi" Drew starts to say

"I don't know why he chose to be a cop but he did take me to the wall of plaques. The ones for the fallen officers he said 'They don't represent a death, but the lives impacted by ones help' yet I can't see that anymore." Lexi says.

"Come on let's go" Drew says grabbing Lexi's hand.

"I love you" she says looking up at him.

"I love you too" Drew replies
