Jordan and TC had been friends since there freshman year of high school. They had dated often breaking up, before kissing and making up. They were both friends with Alexandra Wilson. Both being there for her through the loss of her father to the war on the streets of the place she called home. And even now having gone separate ways for medical school they found themselves back together. They were both working at San Antonio Memorial Hospital. That is where they made new friends. Having worked there for the two and a half years they became close with all the nurses and doctors of the Night Shift.

"Jordan we on for tonight?" TC asks.

"Yeah I guess" Jordan replies.

"Jordan" A woman cries out.

"Can I help you" Jordan says turning around.

The women who called her name collapses in Drews arms, bloodied and bruised as he was trying to help her.

"I need a gurney" Drew yells

"Drew I got this one" Jordan says. "TC she look familiar?"

"It's her, Lexi . Isn't she a cop" TC questions.

"Yeah and Drew you better take damn good care of my partner. Wilson she's one fine cop" Rick one of Drews friends and fellow army man says.

"Didn't know she was back in town" Jordan responds. "And I'm her best friend. TC did you know she was back"

"No" TC bluntly responded working on his friend with Drews help.

"Let me go, Alexandra . I'm just trying to help you" Drew says to the woman who had just regained consciousness before him.

"Stop hurting me" Alexandra cried out.

"Hey, Lex, Lexi, listen to me." Rick says walking over to his parter in beating crimes side. "This is my friend Drew. Lexi he's my best friend and I'd trust him with my life. I also have your friends TC and Jordan here too. They just want to help you ok"

"Rick what happened to her" TC asks.

"Like you, she likes the energy rush, she was undercover still is undercover actually. And that's why you need to keep quiet about her being a cop" Rick says TC rolling his eyes.

"What's her UC name?" Jordan asks.

"Autumn Torres, she's hired protection/muscle." Rick says.

"Of course she is" TC remarks.

"I need to get back out or they're gonna think something's up" Alexandra says getting up.

"Rick she should stay" Drew says.

"I'm not her boss so I can't force her to stay" Rick explains.

"How'd you get the bruises" Drew asks.

"Deal gone bad" Lexi explains.

"Hear me out before y'all snap my head off. Drew you have skill in martial arts, and shooting. You're also a doctor, maybe he can go undercover for a bit with Lexi" Rick suggests.

"Your joking right" Lexi asks.

"Rick I have to agree with Lexi. You have to be kidding with me" Drew says. "I mean I'm not a cop"

"As your boss Drew I'm recommending you help them" Jordan says "But as your friend all I can say is if you do, get your ass back here safe once your done."

"Rick you owe me" Drew says walking outta Lexi hospital room.

"Drew you don't have to do this" Lexi says trying to convince Drew out of going with her.

"It's fine" he replies. "What got you into this line of work"

"My dad. Umm he was a cop" Lexi says.

"Where am I going" Drew asks

"You'll have to stay with me" Lexi says. "But you can drive"

"Where to" Drew questions.

"Nice place" Drew says when Lexi unlocks the door.

"We protect a jerk that goes by the name of Jake White. He and his organization shake down the owners of bars for so called protection under the threat of property or physical harm."

"And he won't mind you've brought a new person around" Drew questions.

"You have to be convincing" Lexi says. "Your UC name is Drew Allen to keep it as similar to your real name"

"Jake, I'm here" Lexi says the next morning when she walks into the house the crew runs operations out of.

"Who's the guy?" Jake asks.

"Drew Allen, her boyfriend sir" Drew says grabbing Lexi's hand.

"Autumn you better have had a damn good reason to bring him around here" Jake says.

"Well I lost a man yesterday thanks to you and he's the best I know I just didn't bring him around cause I couldn't deal with loosing him. And he's a doctor so if one of us gets shot or hurt he can patch us up, he knows people who work at the hospital so he can get them to help us off the books" Lexi says snapping.

"That was my guy. I lost him to young lady. And he better be good" Jake says leaving the room.

"Get your guns ready boss says you two and I leave in 10" one of Jakes men says poking his head into the room.

"Our guns are in my car we'll be out there waiting for you" Lexi says.

"I'll let the boss know you said that Autumn, I'll be ready in a few" he says leaving.

"Come on" Lexi says as they go out to the car.

"Just follow my lead" Lexi says.

"Autumn" Jake says exiting the house.

"What" Lexi asks

"This guys on his last chance I'm coming to show him I mean business" Jake says

"Yes sir" Lexi remarks.

"You two up front I'm in back with Anthony" Jake says getting into Lexi's Truck.

"Drew what ever happens" Lexi says.

"Hurry up you love birds they won't be closed all day" Jake yells out the window.

Drew kisses her to get Jake to leave them be for a few more minutes.

"Well that works too" She exclaims. "As I was saying I'd like to be friends after this"

"Hey there sweetheart is Harold around?" Jake asks as they enter the bar.

"No Jake and we don't have the money yet. It's been a rough couple days. And weeks" The women says.

"That's the wrong answer, Autumn check the register" Jake instructs.

She goes over nodding her head holding a small bundle of bills in her hand. Then walking back over positioning herself between Drew and Jake I case something goes wrong.

"I told Harold to get his act together" Jake says grabbing a bottle of liquor from a counter. He opens it pouring it along the wooden bar top.

"Please Jake give us more time?" The woman pleads.

"I warned him" Jake says with that he opens a lighter throwing it onto the bar.

"Drew down" Lexi yells. As she punches Anthony in the face. Drew grabbing his gun one goes off.

"Lexi" Drew cries Lexi getting up her gun pointed at Jake.

"Call 911" Lexi says. "My phones in my back pocket"

"Getting a little handsy with her now are we" Anthony jokes.

"Shut it" Lexi snaps.

"This is SWAT officer Alexandra Wilson badge number 285 I need fire department and ambulance at my location" Lexi says Drew putting pressure on the shoulder of the arm that she was shot in.

"What happened to being careful" Rick asks as he enters the hospital room where Drew was stitch up his partner.

"Rick can I talk with you for a second?" Drew asks.

"What did she do" Rick asks.

"I think I'm in love" was all Drew could say.

"All I'm gonna say is this; if you hurt her, I know where you live." Rick responds heading in to see her.

"Rick I got a problem. I think I like him"

"God I frickn hate you" Rick says.

"What" Lexi asks.

"He likes you too" He replies leaving the room.

Drew's working at the desk Rick walking over to him "She likes you to brother. You better not mess this up"
