Chapter 7- Now we're broke!

Roman glanced in awe at his brother as he heroically offered to buy the orphanage. This seemed like something he'd offer to do, but no he didn't. He just stood there like an imbecile feeling upset about the situation.

"I said I'll buy her orphanage!" Remus yelled angrily.

"You? What would you want with an orphanage? Are you trying to corrupt those children!?" Queen Arina questioned him. But he didn't care about her questions or glare, all he wanted to do was keep his family safe.

"If I give you enough money will you let me keep the orphanage?" He asked narrowing his gaze to show that he wasn't fooling around like usual.

"I guess if you did have the money I would allow it. But I highly doubt anyone of your nature has fifteen thousand in coin?" She asked with a smirk knowing how much he makes weekly. His payment was a topic that Remus typically avoided. It's not that he was paid an extremely low amount, it's just that every other guard was paid noticeably more. The Queen's orders I guess.

Remus's face altered into one of shock and disappointment, the most he had on him was five thousand in coin but he just bought his weekly bread. That brought his total coin to 4,985, defiantly not enough to buy the orphanage.

But now was the time for Roman to stand up and fight for his family too, he had much more coin than Remus maybe even enough to pay for the orphanage. Roman quickly took his bag off his shoulder and pulled out his coin pouch. He poured eleven thousand into his hand before the bag was empty and turning to Remus.

"Brother how much coin do you have on you?" Roman asked looking up at his still dumbfounded brother.

"About five thousand, why?" Remus asked confused snapping out of his trance.

"I've got eleven thousand right here so together we could buy it." He said with a smile. The Queen on the other hand looked flabbergasted silently wondering why they would both want to save that old building.

Remus's face reverted back to shocked before he squeezed his twin in a tight hug. Small tears trailed down his cheeks wetting the shoulder of Roman's shirt but, he didn't mind.

A muffled, "Thank you" was heard only by Roman.

"No problem, wouldn't want our family to be homeless now would I?" Roman asked with a laugh patting Remus's back softly. The slightly shorter twin pulled away and shook his head 'no'.

"Now wipe those tears and make us broke," Roman joked handing all of his money to his brother.

Remus took all the coin needed and turned towards the Queen.

"Can I buy it now?" He asked with slight hope and worry shown on his face.

"Oops sorry I meant sixteen thousand coin! My mistake." She said with a small almost unnoticeable smirk. Both twin's faces dropped to annoyed and disappointed.

Patton on the other hand was done with his mom's childish antics, "Mother that isn't fair, you told these boys fifteen! Then when you find out they have fifteen you change it!?" Patton yelled angrily at his mother.

"Patton, honey I am the Queen. What I say goes. However, I'd like to know what makes you think you can talk back to me!?" She asked angrily.

"It doesn't matter right now! Right now you need to let these boys buy the orphanage and, if it turns out they don't have enough I will personally pay the rest." Patton said harshly. To be honest it was frighteningly different from his usual attitude. So much so that it shocked the Queen herself.

"O-Oh, look here. Turns out they do have enough. The orphanage is yours," She stumbled out, still shocked by her son's tone.

Both boys turned to look at Patton with a thankful smile before giving the Queen the money.

"Oh Roman isn't this great!? Won't Agitha be happy to see we saved the orphanage!?" Remus cheered as they continued to walk Patton to his room.

"Yes I agree that she will be beaming with joy when we go tell her on Saturday," Roman agreed picturing the happy smile of the woman who raised them.

"So guys, I was wondering why you were so passionate about the orphanage?" Patton asked kind of feeling lost not knowing their relationship with the orphanage.

"Oh right you didn't know! Well me and Remus were raised by the lady at the orphanage so they are kind of like our family," Roman answered the curious prince.

Wham! Wow I've never related to Roman so much before. I too am extremely broke.

I hope you enjoyed!❤
