Chapter 3- Prince Virgil is a Gay.
Today was the day, as in it wasn't like the days before. Today was the special day where Prince Virgil will meet the lady he has been engaged to for six years. Most would believe that he would be excited to meet the damsel that he was supposed to wed, but those people probably don't know Virgil.
In true Virgil fashion he was hiding in the corner panicking over who he'd think he'd meet. The biggest problem with his fiancé was already known to Virgil without even having to meet her, she was a she and not a he. That's right you heard it here first folks! Prince Virgil, who was next in line for Evadonia's throne, is a gay.
That one tiny fact has spun Virgil into a pit of distress ever since he heard that today was the day. His mother on the other hand was ecstatic for her son to finally be wed. Her biggest hope for this marriage though was for the girl to turn him into a confident ruler. She happily walked down the corridor to her son's room bubbly about the progress of her plan.
"Virgil dearest!" She called through the door while giving it two soft knocks.
"Y-Yes mother?" He asked while simultaneously trying to hide the fact that all morning he'd been overly anxious.
"Are you ready for the day yet? Our special guest is coming soon so, if you aren't I'll send in Remington to help you out." She said sweetly not noticing the undertone of worry in his voice.
"Yes please! I-I mean yes mother, I'd prefer if Remington came to assist." He said cautiously speaking to sound as formal as his mother liked. She wasn't an overly demanding mother, with the only thing she really asked was for Virgil to speak more formally around her. And at every chance he got Virgil would try to uphold that request to the best of his abilities, it was the least he could do, I mean she raised him did she not?
"Alright dear, Remington will be sent for immediately." She confirmed before walking down the hall towards the advisor's office and the library.
Virgil sighed before mentally preparing himself for social interactions, even if it was just with Remy. Not but a few moments later a boy about Virgil's age came in.
"Heya babe, how are you feeling?" Remy asked him while looking into his wardrobe for something flattering for Virgil to wear.
"Remy I don't want to do this! What if I screw it up and my mother hates me!? What if I say something stupid and embarrass myself in front of strangers!? What if she actually begins to like me!? What if-" Virgil rambled looking down in worry, honestly he could have kept going if he wasn't interrupted.
"Aha found it," he mumbled setting an outfit out for Virgil before interrupting him, "look I understand your anxious and stressed but panicking isn't going to do you any good. It'll only make you feel worse." He finished looking at the boy as if this was common knowledge.
"When did you get so wise," Virgil joked flopping back into his bed in defeat.
"I've been talking to Emile more he's a smart dude, but enough about that we have to get you ready. Now get over here and put on this amazingly selected outfit by yours truly and strut up to meet your fiancé." Remy described talking to strangers like it was the easiest thing to do. Honestly how does he do it?
"And since it's almost my birthday, I have a tradition to uphold with my mother after I meet her so that'll be even more fun." Virgil grumbled annoyed that he was forced to complete a tradition.
"What's the tradition?" Remy asked brushing back prices of Virgil's hair before placing his crown on his head.
"Some out of palace experience or something like that. Maybe like a walk through the woods. I haven't really gotten that much information yet." Virgil complained hating the idea of leaving the comfort of his palace to venture the outside world regardless of how he secretly was excited to go.
"That sucks I guess, make sure to tell me all about your trip after you finish. Especially if you meet any cute dudes." Remy commented laughing. Remy was one of the only people that Virgil has told he was gay to, the other being his personal therapist Emile. They were both extremely accepting but, Remy still likes to joke with him here or there about finding a boyfriend. Even if it's highly unlikely.
Virgil nodded and took a deep breath silently hoping to get the day done as quick as possible.
Another chapter? Who am I? When did I become so productive?
Who cares! I get to finish chapters quicker so I don't mind it!
I hope you enjoyed 💜
