Lanterns

That night, Misora was out of her cabin after an episode from her brother. She leaned forward against the railing as she watched the ocean waves wash up to shore in a rhythming pattern while recalling that happened a while ago.

°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~FLASHBACK~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°

After the swim with Syo, Misora was walking back to her cabin by herself since the blond had to excuse himself because he had something to do at the moment. She smiled at the thought of him as she was drying her face with a towel but stopped and blinked.

"Why did I smiled...?" She thought to her herself as she pondered on it. "W-Well... He is very cool ... and nice to me... That smile and laugh..." She started spacing out as images of Syo happy began filling her mind. After a moment, Misora shook her head and felt the heat rose up to her cheeks.

"Why am I blushing?!" Misora blushed even more redder than before. "My heart is beating so fast too... D-Does that mean..." She thought confusingly as she brushed off her bangs to the side with the pink hue dusted off on her cheeks. "... I like him?"

"Oh no no no no... I only see him as a friend, right? Plus, this engagement is just an illusion on cooperating two agencies and raising the popularity ratings... I-I'm pretty sure Syo only treats me as a friend when they announce it especially when no paparazzi is on the job..."

Misora sighed while walking back to her cabin. She shrugged off the thought for a while and continued going back to their cabin.

"SOMEONE HELP ! !"

Misora stopped here tracks as she blinked and looked around for the source of the cry. The sound of the door banging from a fist could be heard. She turned towards the cabin then at the door.

"ANYBODY! ANYONE! GET ME OUTTA HERE!"
"Tsu-nii!" Misora ran towards her cabin and tried opening the door. "Why is it locked?!" She thought as she panicked and looked straightly at the door.

"Sora-chin! Please get me out of here!!" Tsubasa cried as he talked through the door.

"Why did you even locked yourself in?!"

"I didn't! When I woke up, I was already locked in!"

Misora looked from left to right and tried to find something to crack open the door. But alas, she couldn't find anything. Tsubasa was already crying since he really doesn't like being alone in a closed room nor a locked room which was the worst one yet for him. Hearing her older brother's cries already, Misora sighed and took a stepped back.

"Tsu-nii! Step away from the door!"

"O-O-Okay...!"

Misora took a deep breath as she did a small side shuttle in place. "Alright... In one... two... Three...!!"

°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°

Syo was running towards Misora and Tsubasa's cabin with a very annoyed look on his face while the others were trailing behind him, trying to catch up to him.

"Stupid Ren..." Syo muttered under his breath as he turned to the right corner.

Apparently, after Syo parted ways, the blond went to his group mates to ask what they actually did since he didn't even saw them do anything.

"Oh, we did our job after the lady went out with you in the beach." Ren said with a proud smirk on his lips. The others sighed while some just grinned and smiled, specifically Natsuki, Otoya, and Cecil.

Syo looked at him skeptically. "Ren... What did you do?"

"I just locked up the older brother in their cabin. Nothing to worry about." Ren said as he folded his arms behind his head.

"YOU WHAT?!" The blond yelled at him as he grabbed his collar and started shaking him violently. "WHY?!"

"Ren said, that Tsubasa-san might get in the way of your date with Suzuki-san." Masato voiced out while his arms were crossed with a very troubled expression on his face. "We tried stopping him but he persuade us into letting him and eventually we gave in."

"Sorry, Syo-chan." Natsuki said apologetically but then he gave off a big smile. "But you and Sora-chan were so cute together a while ago! I just couldn't stop taking pictures!!"

Syo blushed and looked away then tried changing the subject. "A-Anyways...! I'm going to their cabin and help Tsubasa out of there. Apparently, he hates it when he's alone in a closed room."

"How did you knew about that, Syo?" Otoya asked as he tilted his head to the side.

"Misora told me while we were together a while ago."

"You two are sure close now, Ochibi-chan~" Ren teased him while the others were showing off their teasing smirks. Syo glared at them and turned around blushing.

"L-Let's just go!"

The blond grumbled as he finally reached the cabin.

CRASH! THUD!

He blinked and stopped then stared at what he was seeing. His jaw dropped for a moment there. The others caught up to him and began doing questioning faces on how the smallest of them was gaping like a fish. They looked at where he was staring and stared as well.

The door of the cabin was broken down while Misora was inside, cringing on the floor. Tsubasa was beside her while panicking and checking out if she was alright.

Apparently, Misora kicked down the door by herself. Ren looked at Syo with a straight face. "You got yourself a lucky girl if I must say so myself, Ochibi-chan."

"SHUT UP!"

°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°

After the whole thing, they eventually paid for the broken door while Misora & Tsubasa had to transfer to another cabin. The two of them decided to go join the others for dinner after they moved into another cabin.

"I thought I never get out of there..." Tsubasa said as he let out a small sigh.

"Why did you even locked yourself in?" Misora asked with a straight face while she was walking beside him.

"I told you. I didn't! I was already locked inside while I was asleep!" Tsubasa countered as he crossed his arms and looked at her with a straight face. "Maybe you locked me in instead. That's why I got trapped there."

"I don't know. I know I didn't locked it... Maybe... I can't remember..." She replied as she pondered in thought of it while Tsubasa had the sudden urge to facepalm but resisted on doing so.

"A-Anyways..." He cleared his throat and continued. "What were you doing while I was asleep?"

"Well, I went for a stroll on the beach."

"Mhm." Tsubasa nodded as he opened a water bottle.

"Then, took a swim in the ocean..."

"And then...?" He started drinking the water.

Misora got a bit flustered and scratched her cheek. "... W-With Syo."

Tsubasa spat out his water and started coughing then he looked at her with a shocked face. "WAIT, WHAT?"

"I was with Syo all day outside. W-What's wrong with that?" Misora asked him with a confused look on her face at his reaction towards what she had just said.

"O-Oh... I-I was just surprised, I guess..." Tsubasa stuttered out as he let out a nervous laugh. "Why do I get the feeling he's the reason why I got locked up..." He thought bitterly as he looked away and glared at the wall, pretending it was the blond.

"A-Anyways... You weren't alone with him, were you?" He asked as he rose an eyebrow. Misora shooked her head in reply while having pink dust brushed against her cheeks. Tsubasa noticed this and just stared at her impassively.

"It was only the two of us. The others were back in their cabins. I'm guessing they were tired because of the travel from here along with the upperclassmen." She replied.

"I can understand that the seniors were tired but the juniors? That's a whole different story!" Tsubasa furrowed his eyebrows. "They were real hyper when we even got here!! Okai, now I really have a feeling they're the reason why I was locked up. I'm going to have to talk to these brats later..."

The brunet gritted his teeth while Misora kept on talking about things. He noticed a poster as he stopped and looked at it while Misora continued walking without knowing her brother had stopped walking.

"Lantern Event Later Tonight!"

Tsubasa stared at it and pondered for a moment. After a few seconds, Misora noticed her brother wasn't beside her and turned around to call for him.

"Tsu-nii! Come on! We're going to be late for dinner!"

"O-Oh, alright!" Tsubasa snapped back to reality as he sprinted off to her side. "So you were saying?"

°~°~°~°~°~°~°~END OF FLASHBACK~°~°~°~°~°~°~°

Misora laughed silently as she looked back at the ocean and admired the silent atmosphere. The wind swept against her hair that made it flow with it. The night was cool which was a comfortable feeling. The raven head looked up to the sky and took out a white hat with the blue ribbon neatly tied around it. She caressed the tips of it as she stared at it. "I wonder if this was given to me... I have feeling it was..." She thought to herself while she continued staring at it and looking.

She then noticed something hidden under the ribbon. "Hm...?" She pulled down the ribbon and saw letters in initials being covered by it.

" S. K. "

"What does this mean...?" She mumbled quietly as she traced her fingers on it.

"So this is where you're hanging out."

Misora was startled a bit as she looked over her shoulder and sighed in relief, that the one who snuck up behind her was very familiar. Syo smiled and was holding two lit up lanterns in both hands.

"Oh, it's just you, Syo."

The raven head rose an eyebrow at the lightened lantern and pointed at it.

"This?" Syo held one out to her and offered it. "There's a lantern event in the resort which is tonight. The others wanted to participated on it and I decided to get you one so... w-we can do it together..."

The other almost laughed at how cute he was right now. She took the lantern without much hesitation.

"Let's go back then shall we?" He asked.

"Actually... why don't we do it here instead?" Misora said as she looked up to the night sky. "It's actually nice setting it free here."

"Sure. Whatever you want." Syo winked at her while Misora rolled her eyes and playfully punched his shoulder. The blond laughed and held up his lantern.

"Let's set it off now."

Misora nodded and lifted hers up. They counted from three and set off the lanterns together in the sky. The lanterns floated up in the sky while spinning around each other like it was dancing side by side. Both of them watched it float up until other lanterns started going up to the nightly sky creating a somewhat band of floating stars.

Syo looked at Misora as he looked to her eyes that reflected the sky with the lanterns' lights. The blond flushed a bit and looked back up smiling. Unconsciously, he held her hand. He noticed this sudden gesture he did but continued holding her hand.

"Not going to slip this chance away."

Misora looked at his hand then at him watching the lanterns. She smiled slightly with a small flush on her cheeks as she gripped back on his hand. She looked back up to the sky and continued watching.

"I..."

Syo felt the grip and glanced at her as he smiled softly. Misora glanced at him and returned the smile.

"... love him."
