Paul's Place

Okay, some of you may be confused about that last chapter, well the best part is that you're supposed to be :). You being confused just tells me that my objective was accomplished! Which if fun for me xD. So I'll be doing chapters from different p.o.vs from now on like at the top of the chapter I'll have the name of the person and what number the chapter is...I suppose you already know this and I'm probably boring you right now, sorry. Anyway, on with the fanfic!

Percy II

It's been hours since they had escaped from Gabe's apartment and ever since Percy's mom has been a nervous wreck. She muttered things under her breath and was frankly starting to freak Percy out a bit....other than the fact he is still totally confused.

"Uh, mom? Are we going to go get Paul?"

She at first she hesitated but then started to nod slowly "B-But we can't take too much time. G-Gabe will have his friends on our tails."

Percy narrowed his eyes "What do you mean?"

Sally wet her lips and glanced behind her "Gabe has trucker friends, they will tell him were we are. They will track us."

"Then we need to get out of this car, they would easily recognize this hunk of metal!"

"We will," She sighed "We will, once we get Paul."

Percy nodded "Fine."

In a few minutes Sally started to cry "Oh my gosh! This can't be happening! I-I, then we, and then Gabe and, and, and--!"

"Mom! Calm down, everything is going to be fine."

"Bu--."

"No buts! Now I know this might be a little weird but tell me all that happen since I got hit on the head. Who hit me on the head?"

Sally sniffed "Daniel, a trucker from Texas. One of Gabe's poker friends."

"Alright, so I got hit on the head....?"

"Yes, he said you wouldn't corporate. Corporate to what, I have no idea, but something tells me it wasn't good so I'm glad you didn't." She sighed and glanced wearily behind her again. "He brought you up and ever since you were out, for two days actually. Then Gabe and....you know the rest."

Percy winced and rotated his shoulder "Ya, so Paul?"

Sally nodded "H-He's a great guy, Percy. He knows about Gabe and wants to help us break away."

I thought we already had, Percy thought, and that Gabe was long gone as a statue.

"If your happy I'm happy." He said, deciding not to bring up anything he remembered yet, they already had too many problems.

If only Annabeth was here, Percy thought with a depressing sigh, then realization began to set in, Annabeth! Oh my gods, she is going to MURDER me!

His face drained of all color immediately, oh he was in for it. Big time.

His mother looked at him in concern "Are you okay?"

He nodded a few moments before answering "Y-Ya, I'm fine. Lets just get to Paul."

After a while the car pulled up in front of a one story house, it wasn't much to look at but it had a warm feeling to it. Percy studied the surrounding area just in case they had to make an escape he would know were to go.

His mother turned off the car and closed her eyes for a moment, leaning back in her seat with a deep breath. Percy glanced behind them as Sally took her rest, he didn't see any headlights so that was a good sign....but now every time they were to see headlights they would probably jump out of their skins.

"Come on, Percy." His mother said before popping the door open and quickly getting out.

Percy followed her lead and met her on the sidewalk, they began walking toward the dark house and stopped at the front porch. Sally rang the door bell, leaving them to wait anxiously.

Two minutes later the door opened the reveal a sleepy looking man. His hair was going everywhere, pants were unbuttoned, he had no shirt on, and only one sock. At first Percy though he was going to start yelling at them, but when the man saw his mother he smiled widely.

"Sally!" He exclaimed before hugging her tightly. "What beings you here?"

Sally's smile melted away as he asked the question "We have a problem, Paul."

Paul frowned slightly "Why don't you two come on in, I'll make some hot tea or something. Both of you look freezing."

Percy's mother hesitated to answer, after a worrisome glance behind her, she accepted. Percy wasn't to thrilled about her decision, but Paul needed to get up to speed before they suddenly take him to gods know were in the middle of the night. Looks like they will be staying at Paul's place for a little while.
