Jayden's P.O.V

"She hasn't texted me since then." I pouted as I checked her dm every now and then before typing up a message.

Hey Rose, you there?

I really miss you 😕

{{Time skip to night}}

It's been hours since you last texted me, is everything alright?

{{One day after}}

Okay, now I'm worried about you. Where are you?

{{Two days after}}

Rose!!

{{Three days after}}

Please don't scare me this way, did you block me or something?

"Hey Jayden, isn't this the Instagram girl you told me about?" Alan called me from the room next to me and I quickly joined him there.

And just like he said, it was her on the news.

'Instagram star Rosalie found attending her friend's funeral at St. Lawrence Church.'

I widened my eyes in shock and gulped before turning to Alan again.

"Keys. I need keys, Alan."

"Wait, where are you going?" He asked to which I pointed to the TV screen that displayed the news. He understood quickly before throwing the keys to me and I ran all the way to my car.

"Stupid. Idiot." I hit myself constantly as I drove faster through the shortest road to the church. I made my way down the road that didn't go through the main cities, in order to avoid speeding problems.

Soon, I reached the church and cut the engine before walking fast as I could to the funeral place. I stopped dead in my tracks as I saw Rosalie crying so badly, seeing her friend's face for the last time. I quickly walked up to her from the back and placed my right hand on her shoulder.

She looked back at me, still crying and I felt my heart throbbing in pain as I saw her in that state.

"It's me, Jayden." I whispered to her with a sad smile and she widened her eyes in shock before crying harder. I quickly pulled her into a hug and patted her back in comfort, trying to calm her down.

"She's no more, Jayden." She whispered as she cried onto my shirt and I watched as the funeral was almost getting over.

Soon, it was just us there and I let her take her own time before I could move. After half an hour, she slowly leaned back, drying her own tears, and looked at me with a small smile that didn't reach up to her eyes.

"You should probably get home now, Jayden. It's late." She softly spoke to me.

"No, it's fine. I'll take you back first." I replied to which she hummed before nodding her head with a sigh.

"Let's go." She said before we walked back to my car together, with her hand in mine.

The ride to her small apartment was silent. None of us spoke a word and just stared at the road blankly. When she got inside the building, I gave her a small wave and an assuring smile before driving back to my own house.

"God." I sighed to myself as I walked out of the shower with the towel wrapped around my waist. I took out a pair of blue denim jeans and a black shirt to go with it before laying on my bed with my phone beside me.

The sound of the notification bell brought me back to reality and I quickly checked who it was.

My❤️: Thank you for today 🙃

Of course. That's what friends are for.

My❤️: I guess so. But about that...

Yeah?

My❤️: How did you know where I was? Have you been stalking me, Jayden?

Oh no. God, it was the news.

My❤️: Oh. Sorry, then.

It's alright, I don't blame you.

My❤️: Hm.

How are you feeling? Do you want me to come on over?

My❤️: No, it's fine. I was actually going to bed now.

That's good. You need rest.

My❤️: Hm, you know what?

Yes?

My❤️: It feels weird with you talking this way. I hope to see the annoying prick soon, will I get that?

I guess 😅

My❤️: Well, I should go now, yeah?

Yeah, see you tomorrow.

My❤️: Okay. Jayden?

Yes?

My❤️: Did you know something?

What is it?

My❤️: The purple heart 💜 depicts that the person who sent you will love and trust you for a really long time.

...

With that being said, Have a good day, Jayden 💜
