1. THE SELECTED AT THE PALACE

The Selected -princes and princesses from Illea's neighboring kingdoms- had arrived at the palace this weekend. This process started with a written interview from each selected (which we will be referring to in a later volume of the chronicles) before they were picked up by the Illean train from their kingdoms, accompanied by Princess Estella. Many of these royals seemed to be getting along with each other so there was no major problems.

They were welcomed by a ball in which they had the chance to meet their potential spouses; our crown prince Theodore, Prince Edward and Princess Catalina.

2. A CHILDHOOD FRIENDSHIP?

The Selection had brought us an unexpected surprise~ Princess Capri Irwin from the kingdom of Greyden.
That's right; many of you might recognize her. She is from one of Illea's closest kingdoms and had been visiting  Illea from a young age. You may also know the fact that she was Prince Theodore's childhood friend-- or best friend. This princess had entered the Selection which got the kingdom wondering about her true intentions. Is she here to extend their friendship or to join this 'game' in winning his heart? Does this relationship give her an advantage in this?

3. HOW ARE THE ILLEAN ROYALS HOLDING UP?

There had been a lot going on in the palace so it's important to know what's going on in the heads of our own royals.

Queen Anastasia: The queen haven't gotten a chance to meet the Selected yet but she mentioned in an earlier interview on how she was looking forward to it. She said that she is aware that The Selection was a decision that was made a little quickly but she is hoping that her children would find a match.

Princess Estella: As we mentioned, Estella was in the train with the Selected so she got the chance to meet a few of them. One of the reporters had also spotted her at the meetings/ ball-- the girl sure knows how to sneak around. At her interview, she said that she was looking forward to making friends and apparently, she had already made one.

Princess Catalina: Princess Catalina has been seen mingling with many of the Selected and she seemed to have made many friends. She mentioned that it was great to get to know so many people who brought different aspects of their kingdoms with them. At the ball, she was seen dancing with Prince Oliver as well as Prince Aleksandr and spent quite a bit of time with Prince Sebastian. Of course, the older princess did make quite a lot of friends on that day.

Prince Edward: At the ball, Prince Edward had been caught sneaking out into the gardens a few times-- which was expected for the prince. Oh, we all knew how he didn't stay at formal settings for too long. Although, he did meet and flirt with a few girls-- two girls that stood out to the media were this Selected that preferred to stay a mystery ( she had refused to tell him her name) and another Selected named Vera (we were lucky enough to find her name).

Prince Theodore: It has taken us all by surprise that Prince Theodore had been seen with many of the Selected. He had let his guard down and had decided to give this Selection a chance. Yes, there were some conflicts with him and a few Selected at the beginning but they all concluded their meetings in good terms. He had been seen spending quite the time with these Selected especially; Princess Ivy, Princess Capri, Princess Calliope and Princess Aster.

Would any of these selected -or the rest- have a chance at being the future Illean queen?

4. NARROWING DOWN THE SELECTED

Our dear Queen Anastasia had mentioned that the first elimination would take place very soon. Who would be going home? There are a few Selected that haven't interacted with any of the royals so if they don't prove themselves worthy soon, they might have to say goodbye to the Selection.

I also want to apologize for being a terrible role player-- I know I haven't stuck to Theodore's character (which was supposed to be an arrogant and cold prince), I just realized that I'm bad at playing such characters. I'm just going to make an excuse and say that it's because he's actually giving the Selected a chance.
