Unexpected events were the usual in a Selection-- but one should have expected to attend the Illean Report night which would be aired throughout Illea.

If you weren't prepared, that's your loss. It was only that afternoon the maids delivered the news to the Selected-- they were going to attend the royal report that evening.

Of course, they warned you to be prepared for personal questions since Maybel is the reporter {her form is on the last chapter}.

The maids put quite the effort into getting the Selected ready since all of Illea would be watching this-- a taste in fashion could be important.

The Selected were brought into the auditorium for the report which was to start in a few minutes. Oddly, the royal family wasn't present so it was only Maybel the fae and the fellow Selected.
