Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 28 | Tʜᴇ Sᴛᴀɢɢᴇʀ

It had been ten days since we were in Greece. All these days we kept going to different places, exploring and enjoying each other's company. I didn't even feel bored or weird for once.

All these days, Ahaan had been so sweet to me that my feelings were out of control. Our closeness definitely escalated as we kept kissing each other as we would get a chance. There were quite a few times when I initiated, but it was more from Ahaan's side.

But not for once, I replied to his confession. I am not sure myself about what's going on with me, so I am trying really hard to look through every aspect.

It was early in the morning, and we had our flight back to Mumbai in the afternoon. We had to cut our trip short because of his business, and I instantly agreed because it had been so long since I went to my office, and I wanted a normal life to be continued from now.

I was already dressed but Ahaan was still asleep as he was making arrangements late in the night, so I made my way outside the bedroom towards the private lounge.

As I sat down on the couch, my gaze went to the few remaining balloons on the corner. Every time I see this, it only makes my heart flutter with happiness. He's being so sweet and compassionate towards me that I feel delighted to have him.

Ring...

Ring...

As I heard my phone vibrate beside me, I picked it up only to notice Sarah's name flashing on the screen. I accepted the call instantly placing on my ear.

"Hey!" I said excitedly.

"Hi bitch. How's your honeymoon going?" She chirped.

"Amazing as ever. You tell me how's it going with you." I responded.

"I am good. And bro, I am hoping you'll come back losing a good amount of weight." She said mischievously.

"Why?" I frowned.

"What, why? I am sure you both are not leaving a chance to have sex. It takes efforts bro." She replied casually.

"Sarah, you're seriously insane. And no, we haven't done it." I said.

"What? You're lying, right?" She asked, horrified.

"No, it's true. How are you anyway?" I asked, sipping my coffee.

"I am back in Mumbai now. And the morning sickness is better than before. I hope everything will be fine." She replied.

"Morning sickness?" I asked in confusion.

"I-I- It's nothing." She responded real quick.

"And I believe you. Just tell me, Sarah, what's going on." I asked, annoyed.

"I am pregnant." She blurted.

"That's funny." I laughed.

"Kyra, did you even hear what I said?" She asked.

"That you're pregnant." I replied, shrugging, although she couldn't see me.

"Exactly. I am P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T." She spelled out everything.

I spluttered the coffee. I just sipped in my mouth, and I heard a curse.

"Shit, are you okay, Ky?" Ahaan asked, coming beside me.

I just shook my head, and he patted my back lightly, making me relax a couple of minutes later.

"How did this happen? Does your Dad know? How are you taking it? When did you find out, man? And who is the father goddamn? Did you even have an ultrasound?" I rambled my questions.

Ahaan looked at me confused, and I mouthed 'Sarah' to which he nodded and turned his head towards the ocean.

"Calm down, Kyra. I'll answer everything when you'll arrive. And yes, tell me when you are coming back to Mumbai?" She said.

"Today. I'll call you once I reach." I replied.

"Okay then, bye." She said.

"No, wait! At least tell me the man's name. I really need to be prepared for my lecture, okay?" I said.

"Dhruv." She said too quickly.

"What?" I said, horrified.

"I am going." She muttered.

"Wait! Don't go!" I said, but it was too late as she had already hung up.

"Oh my god. I can't believe this." I said, placing a hand on my chest.

"What happened, Ky?" Ahaan questioned with raised eyebrows.

"There's going to be a baby." I squealed.

"What? Kyra, we didn't even have-" He started, I cut him off.

"Not me idiot. It's Sarah. She's pregnant." I said my eyes, twinkling with excitement.

"What?" He asked, looking so shocked.

"Yes. The best part is that I am going to have relations from both sides." I exclaimed.

"How?" He questioned again.

"The father is Dhruv." I replied, smiling.

"God, I can't believe these two." Ahaan muttered, shaking his head yet with a faint smile on his lips.

"Did you see, we are the ones who got married first, yet they are having the baby first." I said, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Kyra, they aren't even married yet." He reminded me.

"And if you're so sad about not having one, then I can fulfill your wish now." He continued huskily.

I blushed, hiding my face in his chest, and he laughed with his chest vibrating beneath me.

"I am so excited to go back to India." I mumbled, glancing at the vast ocean.

"Yeah, me too. I've got all your stuff moved at my mansion there." He said.

For minutes, we kept gazing at the beautiful scenery, inhaling the freshness of the place. I had my head placed on his shoulder, and he was running his fingers through my hair. Sometimes, I feel like everything is normal between us, and there's nothing wrong.

"Is this going to change, Ahaan?" I asked with a low voice.

"What is going to change Kyra?" He asked with confusion.

"This comfort between us." I replied.

"It'll only change if we are going to let it. It's all upon us how we take this relationship ahead." He responded.

"But I am scared." I replied.

"Ky, please don't be scared. I won't let anything happen between us this time. Just try to go with the flow and everything will be fine. You don't need to worry about anything." He replied, cupping my cheeks.

"Promise?" I asked.

"I promise." He replied, placing a kiss on my forehead.

I sighed with contentment, turning my eyes back to the ocean. I could feel Ahaan's gaze on me from my left side, but I tried my best not to show it.

"Don't look at me like that." I said, turning to him.

"What? Is it a crime to look at my wife?" He asked back.

Chuckling lightly, he forwarded his hand for mine, which I gave, and he pulled me up from the couch. We started going back to the direction of the bedroom side by side when all of a sudden, he pushed me into the pool, catching me off guard.

I started panicking and squirming in the water when he jumped in the pool, taking me in his arms.

"Ha! Done!" I exclaimed proudly.

"You were acting?" He questioned shockingly.

"Of course. I wouldn't let you go away this time without revenge. And you forgot that I know how to swim." I responded, crossing my arms.

"Shit. The only thing I saw was you drowning there, so I jumped to catch you." He grumbled, making me chuckle.

"Idiot." I mumbled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

Just like always, we began our water fight, trying to drown each other in different ways and failing miserably. Not once did our laughter die down, and again, I forgot about every problem and tension of mine enjoying with him.

Coming back into the bedroom, I saw Ahaan busy on his mobile phone as always due to his business. He was dressed in a navy blue t-shirt and denim jeans. His signature Rolex watch on his left wrist and a pair of white sneakers.

"We should get going." He said, glancing at his watch, and I nodded in agreement.

We made our ways out of the room in which we stayed for a week and reached the lobby of the resort for checking out.

Our ride to the airport was pretty boring as he was again busy in his emails. I was so angry seeing the sight of mobile in his hands, but only I knew how I controlled myself. I really hate workaholics, and he's definitely one.

Once we reached the airport, we checked in immediately, and began our journey to way back home.

After such a long car ride, we were finally about to reach his place. I wonder in what corner his mansion is, considering the time it took to reach.

"That's your place?" I questioned, shocked.

"Our place. And yes, it is." He responded, draping an arm over me.

"Why do you seem so shocked?" He continued.

"I was sure that it's going to be like the one back in Delhi. But this is unexpected." I replied, roaming my gaze over it.

"Well, if we both are going to live here, then it should definitely be according to the liking of both of us. I made sure to consider your opinions." He replied, making me look at him in awe.

"You're too sweet." I said, trying to hide my blush.

"Well, I am glad you think that." He responded, leading me inside the mansion.

In front of me was the living room I always thought of staying in. The perfect size, style, and color combinations. I was so giddy at the fact that Ahaan remembers so much of my likings and opinions.

He gave me a short tour of the ground floor, and I couldn't believe that it was so of my liking even when I wasn't asked for anything.

"Where is your room?" I questioned, sitting on the couch barefoot, my sandals long lost forgotten.

"First floor." He responded, pointing to the modern staircase.

"Just take me there. I want to shower." I said, getting up.

"Is that the reason, or is it something else?" He asked with a mischievous smirk.

"Pervert." I mumbled, taking the stairs one by one with him by my side.

He just chuckled at my words.

On the first floor there were around four to five doors and he opened the second one which I assumed to be the master bedroom.

The whole room was filled with a masculine scent, and I smiled at the fact there wasn't anything extravagant for my liking. It was a dark color themed room, and there was a big door, which I assumed to be the en-suite bathroom.

"Where are my suitcases?" I questioned in confusion, not seeing any of my bags here.

"They are in the closet there." He pointed to the walk-in closet that was half visible from the bedroom.

I nodded and made my way towards the closet, not even feeling slightly weird that it was my first time here in his place and bedroom.

The closet was a lot bigger than mine, and I was sure it is something that'll fit all of my clothes and his as well. The glass was a minus point considering my clumsiness, but I brushed off my negative thoughts.

I frowned, looking at my clothes that were already arranged in the closet.

'Who even did this?' I thought.

I took out a comfortable pair of clothes for myself and made my way towards the bathroom, which was all the way through the bedroom. Ahaan had his eyes closed, so I'd quickly made my escape.

I removed my dress, which I was wearing, and got under the shower stark naked. I'd made sure to lock the bathroom door before doing anything else.

The shower helped me a lot with relaxing my muscles, and I could sense the wanted freshness. A loud knock interrupted my amazing time.

"Kyra." I heard a faint sound and turned off the shower.

"What?" I shouted.

"I want to use the washroom. Come out, please." I heard his faint voice.

"Can't you wait for 5 minutes, Ahaan?" I asked, frowning, although he couldn't see me.

"No. Now come out." He replied.

I wrapped myself in a bathrobe that was kept on the countertop. It was so big on my body that I was sure it's Ahaan's.

"You're damn irritating." I mumbled, opening the door.

"What are you wearing?" He asked, trying to hold his laughter.

"It's yours. Do you want me to stand naked?" I hissed.

"I don't mind." He replied with a smirk.

"I think I should just continue my shower." I murmured, turning back.

"No! I am going." He exclaimed, getting inside the bathroom.

"That's why I hate glass showers." I mumbled, getting inside the bedroom.

A couple of minutes later, Ahaan came into the bedroom with a satisfying smile on his face. I hastily made my way to the bathroom to change my clothes when I was blocked in between.

"Where to?" He questioned in a deep voice, making me gulp.

"Bathroom?" I replied, but it came out more as a question.

"You easily get scared." He said, laughing with this head falling back. It was such a sight for me.

"I can't even." I muttered, shaking my head and getting back to the bathroom.

I got myself dressed in my black nightwear that consisted of a loose cotton shirt and a similar pair of shorts that reached the mid of my thighs.

Getting out, I was greeted with the sight of shirtless Ahaan. I gulped a little but tried my best not to show any reaction.

"I am hungry." I said, patting my stomach.

"Even I am. There must be something in the kitchen that'll do for today." He mumbled.

It was already 9 in the night, and I just wanted to eat something to fill my stomach.

"Let's go then." I said enthusiastically.

He nodded and got up from the chair he was sitting on. We exited the bedroom and went back downstairs to the living room, where adjacent to it was the kitchen.

The kitchen was a beautiful modern structure, neither too big nor too small with exquisite marble furnishings and creme and coffee themed. The whole atmosphere was soothing.

"So, what would you like to have?" He questioned.

"Let me see what we have here." I said.

As I opened the fridge, I was shocked seeing it fully stocked with fresh vegetables and other necessities.

"Smeone else lives here as well?" I questioned in confusion.

"No, why would you think that?" He questioned back.

I pointed to the fridge, and he came beside me, now peeking inside it.

"Ohh. Kamla Aunty must've done this." He said, nodding.

"Kamla Aunty?" I questioned.

"The caretaker. I told her to clean the house before our arrival, so she must've restocked the fridge as well." He replied.

"Cool." I said.

I took out some vegetables and other necessary ingredients from the fridge and closed it with a small thud. As I placed those on the kitchen countertop, I started searching for some other required items, which took quite a lot of time. The whole time, I felt someone's gaze on me, but I tried my best to ignore.

"Stop looking like that." I finally said in a bored tone.

"Who me?" He asks, faking shock.

I looked at him with my hands resting on my waist, and he was grinning mischievously.

"Are you always like this?" I asked in a curious tone.

"You must've figured out that by now." He responded, coming closer.

"N-no." I stuttered.

"What are you thinking?" He said huskily, dipping his face into my neck from behind.

"D-don't disturb Ahaan. I am really hungry right now." I said hesitantly.

"I am even doing anything." He mumbled, nuzzling more.

My heartbeat was increasing at an unrecognizable speed, and his masculine scent was making me dizzy.

"I- Then help me." I said quickly.

"You're no fun." He said, faking a glare, and I just laughed.

I pointed to the bread and vegetables that were placed on the countertop, and he sighed, nodding his head. He took the capsicum, whereas I took the onions for chopping. As I was done with the onions, he was still on his first capsicum, but I was happy at the fact that he was helping me. I then chopped the tomatoes and took the remaining capsicum from him, which he was extremely happy about.

He kept passing me things, and I kept assembling the sandwiches that I thought to make. It took us a lot of time, but in the end, the outcome was great.

Ahaan was sitting on the chair across the island waiting for the food. With the plate in my hand, I made my way towards him and settled on the counter. As I was about to sit beside him, a strong pair of hands came in contact with my waist, pulling me closer.

"Where do you think you're doing?" He asked in a deep voice.

"Do you want to me stand and eat?" I asked, frowning my eyebrows.

"No. And you're going to sit here." He said, pointing to his lap.

I shook my head, muttering a small 'no', and again turned to the direction of another chair only to fall on his lap.

"When I said you're to sit here, then it means you are. No can deny." He said huskily in my ear, and I shivered at the contact.

"Now eat." He continued forwarding a sandwich in front of my mouth.

I took my hand out to take it, but he only shook his head and directed to the sandwich with his eyes. I sighed and took a bite from it, to which he smiled.

"You're warm." I mumbled in between placing my hand on his chest.

"That's only when you're with me." He replied, pointing to the sandwich.

"I love that." I continued taking a bite.

"I know, Ky." He replied softly, kissing my forehead.

He treated me like a porcelain doll, and I absolutely loved every moment of that. No matter how hard I try to make my distance from him, it only results in us getting closer than before.

I rested my chin on his shoulder, inhaling a deep breath. Ahaan's one hand was on my waist while the other one was busy feeding the both of us from time to time. He forwarded the piece again, and I shook my head as I was already full.

"I am full." I stated.

"Buy, you ate just a little. Have a bit more." He reasoned, and I just shook my head again.

He sighed and kept the plate aside, securing the remaining food with a lid. My fingers were busy twirling his black hair. He was really looking handsome naked from the upper half and just a pair of black shorts.

"Will you be going to the office tomorrow?" I questioned after moments of comfortable silence.

"Yes, it has been long since I visited Mumbai's branch. I just made a short trip from Delhi once, but it wasn't enough." He replied, sighing a little.

"I am taking a toll on you, ain't I?" I asked lowly.

"You're not. This is my responsibility, and I love you. That's why I care for you. It won't stop anyhow." He replied in a serious voice.

He then kissed my cheek, resting his lips there more than it was required.

"I love this." I continued without any hesitation nuzzling more into him.

"And I love you." He replied, biting on my neck, just on his favorite spot, which I had skillfully hidden with concealer.

"What's this?" He questioned, scrunching his face.

"Uhh- concealer?" It came out more as a question.

He rubbed the spot with his calloused finger, and I tried my best not to show the effect it had on me. It only took a couple of minutes when the big purple bruise was on display in front of his eyes.

"Why did you hide this?" Was the question he asked.

"Because I didn't want anyone to see this." I replied honestly.

"We're at home right now, Kyra. And I don't want you to do this again, especially when it's me." He growled lightly.

Ahaan acting all possessive, it was something new.

Things are getting escalated.
