"You're cute." I commented.
"No, I am not." He grumbled under his breath.
"Yes, you are. You look so damn cute when you whine." I said.
"You should say that your husband is handsome, charming, sexy, smart, and here you're saying that I am cute." He reasoned.
"I don't care about that. What I know is you're cute." I grinned with no room left to argue.
He looked at me expectantly, but I shook my head and poked his nose. He removed my hand gently, and I pouted in return. Pecking my nose, he pulled me closer to him, and I rested my head on his shoulder.
We were about to reach the resort in which we were staying for the honeymoon. According to me our flight was really boring. All people were talking around me were about business and politics and at one point, I was seconds away from lashing at the lady behind me, but Ahaan distracted me with his talks which I was really grateful about. As our flight landed, a car was waiting for us at the exit to take us to the resort.
Soon, we reached the resort, and the first thing that came into my mind was how beautiful it was. The whole area was surrounded by large, plush trees. Sounds of waves crashing to the shore were audible on the whole way. The birds chirping lightly around us created a soothing melody.
Hand in hand, we entered the massive resort and directly went in the main lobby for the reception. The whole atmosphere was really good and I really loved the place at first sight. Ahaan was busy with the receptionist for our room, and I was just standing beside him, gazing at everything like a small child.
"Let's go. I got the keys for our room." He said, pulling my hand, and I compiled.
As we made our way towards the room, the whole way I saw numerous couples in each other's arms, looking intimate as if they were enjoying to the fullest. Every couple has the same motive of honeymoon after all. For a minute, I started wondering what we were going to do the whole time, but I scurried those thoughts away, focusing on the present.
Finally, we reached the door of the room, and the bellboy opened it, placed our bags, and got out wishing us for a good stay.
I pouted a little.
This will be one of the worst honeymoon ones ever had.
How are we going be to this comfortable with each other? What is even there for intimacy?
Entering the room following Ahaan, I slightly cringed. It was a complete open room, which itself looked like a small resort. There was a separate space that was completely covered for privacy that just had the queen sized bed, which was covered with rose petals. Following this part of the suite was a private swimming pool that included a whole view of vast ocean and trees. A glass shower was in the massive bathroom, and even the jacuzzi, which was in sight which made me gulp in nervousness. There was also a small small seating area on its other side covered in a wooden shade, I don't know for what.
I made my way towards the corner of the swimming pool and stood by the threshold where a private beach of the resort was in front of my eyes. Following this was a vast ocean where the sounds of waves caused a serene atmosphere. The breeze passed me, causing my hair to flow in every direction, and I smiled happily.
A pair of hands reached up my waist, pulling me closer to the warm body of his, and I leaned onto him, placing my hands on top of his.
"Did you like it?" He asked with his face dipped on my level.
"Absolutely." I whispered.
He pulled me towards him in such a way that my back was pressed against his hard chest. His arms were caging my waist, and my hands were covering those.
"You hungry?" He questioned after moments of silence.
"Very." I mumbled.
We walked back inside the bedroom, and I sat myself on the plush bed.
As Ahaan ordered room service, he came and sat beside me, running his hand through his hair.
"What will be doing after this?" I questioned, looking at him expectantly.
"What couples do on their honeymoon." He responded in a deep voice, and I gulped nervously.
"Wh-" I stuttered.
"Just kidding. We'll roam around a few places here as it's already evening. From tomorrow onwards, I have everything planned." He replied, chuckling.
"Great." I said, smiling lightly.
I feel so relaxed that there isn't discomfort between us. I know he won't do anything without my consent, but I was still very nervous about this. Now that he has said this himself, although in an indirect way, I am way more than happy. What's the problem in taking this as a normal trip?
"See, you're again lost in your thoughts." He said, breaking my trance.
"I ain't." I replied, looking at him.
"What is it? Why are you so lost?" He questioned, looking at me directly in the eyes.
"Nothing." I said nervously.
He looked like he didn't believe me and was about to say something when the doorbell rang. Ahaan made his way towards the door, and I was pretty sure that it's the room service for our food. I was never this grateful.
"Ky wh-" He started, but I jumped from the bed, making my way towards him.
"Food." I shouted, taking the tray from his hands, and he just shook his head at my antics.
Making my way towards the bed, I settled the tray down and sat on the right side. The very next moment, Ahaan joined me, sitting on the other side. Soon, we began filling our stomachs with the amazing food. I started feeling normal at one point without overthinking, and for once, I felt really light.

Dressed in a blush shade crop top and a pair of denim shorts, I was currently tying the laces of my white canvas shoes that I paired with the outfit and my hair were tied up in a messy ponytail.
We were just going to roam around some nearby places.
"I thought you'll be wearing something that would cover you the most." Ahaan said with a smirk coming beside me.
"You know it's bad to tease your own wife. What if she gets mad on the third day after marriage itself?" I replied, crossing my arms.
"Then I would do anything to make her happy with me again." He replied with a smug look.
"I doubt that." I commented.
"Don't worry. You'll experience it soon." He replied with a wink.
Soon, we made our way outside of the room. The whole way, our hands were intertwined, making me feel these weird sensations. Ahaan looked normal as ever as if there's no change. These days, I am feeling so different. A couple of months back, my life was going simple, plain, and boring as ever. I had somewhere gotten used to it. Now that a lot has happened, it feels as if it's not the reality. These past days, I have always had a genuine smile on my face, whereas for 8 years, I used to pretend.
I still remember Sarah's words from my engagement that the reason for my happiness is what I know, and I don't want to believe. It's only because I am scared. Scared of trusting him again so that he breaks it again just because of a mere misunderstanding and falling in love with him again, just to get my heart broken at the end.
And what should I do when I have already started feeling both with him? Slowly, slowly I am trusting him again with things, and his gestures and actions are making me fall again. I am trying so hard to stop myself, but it's not working.
Even when we had a fight yesterday, he made me understand things with such a perspective that I wasn't angry anymore. All these days, he has made me so happy that I can't help but give him the credit for the same. Every single time, he makes me feel so good about things. The time I spent with him became the best part of the day. And it's very obvious that I can't ignore him forever to keep my feelings at bay considering the fact we are husband and wife.
"Where are you lost again?" Ahaan's voice broke my trance.
"Huh? Nothing." I responded, glancing at him.
"Then there's definitely something. Come on, tell me." He replied, pulling me to his chest, and I happily leaned on.
"Then tell me, what are you trying to do?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" He questioned with furrowed eyebrows.
"What I mean is that you got me married with you. What's ahead of this? You must've planned something, haven't you?" I explained.
"Will you believe me if I say I just wanted you by my side, and that's why I married you?" He asked back.
"No." I replied.
"You lost your time when you said you don't have anything to do with me from now on that night." I continued.
"Kyra, what's this about?" He questioned, this time serious.
"It's all about me, Ahaan. Do you have any idea what I am feeling from inside? Every single day, I am fighting with my feelings and emotions, and all of this has started just after your return in my life. What am I supposed to do?" I breathed out with difficulty.
"Fight with them like the fighter you are." He replied, looking in my eyes.
"As if it's that easy." I let out a sarcastic smile.
"Why did you come back?" I asked after moments of silence.
"Because I couldn't stay away from you any longer. The day when I got to know that all that I believed happened that day was a lie, a big misunderstanding from my side, I was so angry at myself. I wanted to meet right then and embrace you in a tight hug, but I knew it wasn't that easy." Ahaan replied.
"And how did you get to know the stupid truth?" I asked.
"Uhh- I-" He scratched the back of his neck.
"Don't even think about lying. If you want me to be normal with you in every aspect, then never lie to me." I warned.
"I met Dhruv a year back. He had come to Italy for a project and I was also there for a meeting." He replied hesitantly.
"Dhruv?" I repeated, horrified with what I just heard.
He nodded his head lightly at me with a smile.
"You have no idea what happened there. The moment he saw me, he pounced at me raging in anger. The way he was looking at me, I knew he knew about us. Only I know how I handled him and the difficulty I went through just to get us back." He replied with his lips pressed in a thin line.
"Then he must be with you in all this drama. Am I right?" I questioned with raised eyebrows.
"Not exactly. We had briefly talked a couple of times after that, and he could sense that I was genuinely sorry for my actions. Though he had no part in what I had planned, he had warned me that this time he won't let me cause any harm, nor that I would." He responded.
"It's nearly like you guys planned this proposal. Have you ever seen something like this happening?" I said with a sarcastic smile.
"Yeah. But I seriously needed to know about you. The guilt was breaking me to no extent. You know, just after a year I left India, I knew I made a mistake back then. I so badly wanted to return and apologize for everything I said even though I didn't mean it, but I never had the courage. And a year back when Dhruv told me what all you went through, I was so angry at everything Kyra. Just because I misunderstood the situation, everything happened. I never meant to say all that to you, but my anger overtook me." He said, looking all guilty.
"You know, it wasn't just about your words for me. The thing I went after that is the main problem in my life, even now." I said my eyes, glistening with tears.
"What happened after that?" He questioned, looking a bit confused.
"I don't think I am ready to tell you that." I said, looking straight ahead.
"Take your time, Kyra. I won't force you for anything. Just try to give us a chance." He said.
"I can't promise anything, Ahaan. But there's one thing I shouldn't hide from you that is I am starting to trust and believe you again. It's all upon you what you do with it." I blurted.
There's no way I think I would hide this from him this time. He should know what is happening with me at every step and what I am feeling. He deserves to know, and he has to repair me.
"Thank you so much, Ky. You have no idea how happy I am listening to this." Came his voice.
I just shrugged, and he instantly engulfed me in a hug. I was a bit hesitant about it, so I didn't hug him back.
"Come on, you can at least hug the person back who you trust a little." He said playfully.
"I knew it. I shouldn't have told you." I said, glaring.
He chuckled lightly and then hugged me again, wrapping my arms around him himself. I relaxed a bit and hugged him tightly, breathing his sandalwood and spice scent. Settling me on a hard surface, we were still in each other's embrace with him standing.
A couple of minutes later, he settled himself beside me, and I leaned on his hard body, looking straight ahead at the line of his vision. We were sitting on a small hilltop covered in green grass. The whole view was so mesmerizing, and the sunset was visible in all his glory. My eyes were shining at the beautiful scene.
"Wow." I breathed out.
"It's amazing, isn't it? I had planned in the beginning that this would be the first place we would visit." He said, and I nodded.
"You look beautiful, Ky." He suddenly said when I was busy gazing at the beautiful scenery.
I turned in his direction, and there he was gazing at me with great intensity. His black orbs were boring in my dark brown ones, and not even once I tore my gaze away as well.
Slowly, slowly, our faces came near each other with our eyes connected the whole way. There was an inch gap between us, and my heart was beating so loudly that I was sure Ahaan must be able to hear as well.
Without any warning, he placed his lips on mine and started kissing me open-mouthed. I placed my hands on his cheeks with rough yet soft stubble, and he pulled me closer to him by my waist, placing me on his lap. Our chests were touching at the same time with our lips. Sucking on my bottom lip, he drew out some blood, making me hiss, and he instantly soothed it with his tongue.
"Mine." He murmured between the kisses.
I placed my arms on his neck and tilted my face a little, giving him more access.
His lips traveled down to my neck and stopped on my collarbone, placing feathery kisses the whole way. He sucked lightly on a spot, making me feel these weird yet good sensations in the body. On the same spot, he bit lightly, and I moved my hands to his silky hair, tugging at them. He groaned lightly and bit again on the same spot, this time a bit harshly, and I hissed in pain. He then sucked there soothing it with his tongue, and I let out a small moan that was begging to escape for a long time.
"Only mine." He mumbled, kissing on the same spot.
I placed my head in the crook of his neck, breathing heavily after the intimate moment. The whole time, Ahaan kept running his hand over my waist softly and slowly, which was great comfort, and his scent was calming me to no extent.
"I am sorry, Ky." Is what I heard the last thing before surrendering myself in his arms.
