"God, stay away Dhruv! You haven't let me enjoy the journey at all and still you aren't leaving me alone." I shouted, pushing Dhruv away.
"But how can I leave my lovely sister alone?" Dhruv asked in a sickly sweet voice.
"You know what, just take Sarah with you and do whatever you want to. You don't need to bother me just because Sarah is with me right now." I said.
"Yeah. That's fine by me." He replied and started dragging Sarah with him.
"Wait!" Sarah screamed.
Saying this, she stood in between both of us with hands on her hips between the bustling airport.
"You guys are acting like children. Not for a single minute you have let me rest in peace. First in the flight and then here. I am so done with both of you. And this is my last warning, do not bicker in front of me again." Sarah exclaimed in a loud voice.
Dhruv and I both visibly gulped at this. Who knew she could be this scary.
My whole family was standing at the exit of airport after our flight from Delhi to Goa. We had finally listed Goa as our prime location for the wedding. Almost every relative of ours had come with us including cousins, uncles, aunts, close friends. The rest would reach eventually. I couldn't even believe that my wedding day is round the corner. Just a couple of days more and I'll be someone's wife. Weird.
"And what about our parents? If my Dad and Mom sees both of us together like this, then I'll be grounded for the rest of my life. Not to forget, will get hitched as soon as possible by my Dad's doing." Sarah said.
"She has a point." I replied, turning in Dhruv's direction.
"Why does this happen with me? Why can't we just tell Nakul Uncle that we like each other?" Dhruv asked in annoyance.
"It's not easy Dhruv. My Dad's really strict. I need time for the revelation." Sarah replied and I could sense the sadness in her tone.
When I got to know that both of these idiots have accepted feelings for each other and want to be together, I was so happy for them. I knew this was bound to happen so it wasn't that big of a shock but when I got to know that they'd gotten together secretly that too a month before, I was mad at them for hiding. Sarah although reasoned out her insecurities about the relationship biggest of which was her father. So I couldn't stay mad any longer and forgave them.
"No more crying please. Let's just enjoy the time we have together." Aarav butted in.
I nodded my head.
We were made to sit in the car which will take us to the hotel where all the guests including the family will stay. Dhruv, Aarav, Sarah and I were in one car with a driver and rest of the people followed in different ones.
Minutes later, we stood in front of the hotel.
Aarav and Sarah whistled seeing it.
"This is going to be one hell of a wedding." Aarav commented.
I looked at him weirdly.
Who can even say these people are above 27 years of age?
Soon, we all got down from the car and started going in the direction of the hotel. From inside as well, the hotel looked really elegant. A big chandelier in the middle of the high ceiling, several sofa sets all over the lobby, a big of reception and various staff and guests roaming all over.
We were waiting in the lobby for the keys of rooms that are assigned for everyone. As I was the bride, a bridal suite which is on top most floor was showered upon me which I'll be sharing with Sarah.
Soon everyone started to disappear for settling in their rooms after the tiring journey. Mom and Dad told me to rest as the functions will be starting from tomorrow.
I started going in the direction of lift while dragging Sarah with me. All the luggage was already settled in the assigned rooms so all we needed was to go in the suite and pounce on the bed.
"You know Ahaan's room is in the same floor as yours." Sarah exclaimed as we stood in the elevator.
"Seriously?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Yeah. Only the wing is different. Bride's side is second wing and Groom's side is third wing." Sarah replied.
"How will it matter that we have same floor? The wing is nonetheless different right." I muttered.
Phew! I am glad we are not on the same floor. I am still not over the fact that I am getting married and my life is going to change forever. I am happy that I chose to accept this because of Mom's and Dad's happiness. The image of their excited faces is still lingering in my mind after the engagement. Dad has contentment about me as Ahaan's wife. He himself said that he feels Ahaan is a younger version of him. Mom is happy as her daughter is going to be married with a nice man according to her.
But where am I in this this?
People might be thinking that I agreed to this because I am still not over Ahaan. Or I am happy that he is back. But I didn't even know that the person who I'll be getting married to will be Ahaan. The thing which I am scared about is how I am going to cope up with this relationship after what has happened.
I know I need to distance myself from him otherwise the history is going to repeat itself. But how's that possible when we're going to live together, as husband and wife?
"Don't think too much. Just like I said before, live your life in flow. Brace yourself for whatever comes in your life, but don't overthink now. Don't let your past affect your present and then future." Sarah said as we exited the elevator on top floor.
"And you know I can't help it. This is the only things that keeps on rotating in my mind 24*7." I replied walking down the corridor of hotel.
"It's totally upon you what you decide as it's your life. I am only saying just let things happen according to your fate. You and I both know we can't change it." She said.
"Whether how much time it takes, you need to find the solution of your inner battle. And you know it very well who is going to help you with this." Sarah said.
I know who she is talking about.
Ahaan.
But how am I going to let my insecurities fade away? How am I going to cope up with my problems after the marriage?

As I opened the door of my suite, a gasp came out of mouth. The first thing my eyes caught was the chandelier in the middle of the room, a plush bed attached to one of the many cream colored walls with golden, intricate patterns. It had an amazing flowering scent lingering in every corner due to different flowers everywhere. A sofa with a coffee table could be seen in other corner and a door probably of the bathroom.
"My gosh. This is so beautiful." Sarah gushed entering the suite and admiring it.
"Yeah." I replied with a smile.
Sitting down on the bed, I sighed rubbing my temples. This is what happens when I overthink. I should just enjoy my wedding and see what happens. What could be the worse? I'll get heartbroken again. Nothing new.
"So the functions will start from tomorrow morning. We should just rest as it's already 11 in the night." Sarah said after minutes of silence.
"Yeah. I'll go change first, then you can." I nodded and stood up.
Taking out my night wear from my suitcase and nightcare routine, I went inside the washroom.
After changing and applying night products on my face, I came out and Sarah went inside. Suddenly I noticed that there was a balcony as well so I went there. Getting in there, wafts of cool breeze passed around me causing my hair to dance in evey place. Wrapping my arms around myself, I stood by the railing and visioned around. The ocean spread around acres caused a feeling of calmness inside me. The mountains at the corner caused a feeling of serenity inside me. My thoughts which were stuck on negativity were now revolved around positivity and peacefulness.
'Kyra' I heard a faint sound.
Thinking that it must be my irrational thoughts I didn't pay much attention to it and continued gazing around the new scenery.
"Kyra." I again heard voices and this time I could tell it was much clearer than before.
Frowning, I looked down at the source of voice and from my naked eyes I could only see two monkeys jumping on their places waving weirdly.
Squinting my eyes I peeked again and my vision became clearer displaying shirtless Dhruv and Aarav in their shorts nearby the swimming pool grinning at my direction.
"What?" I mouthed.
Both of them actioned in a way as if they are not able to understand.
"What?" This time I shouted with all of my strength.
"Geez woman, calm down." Dhruv shouted back.
"Nothing. We just wanted to say 'hi'. It's been an hour since we've seen you babe." Aarav said.
I scrunched my face.
They're so childish.
"You know I can't really deal with you guys these days." I said, shaking my head.
"You wound us." Aarav replied pouting.
I stuck my tongue out at them.
I could see people looking at us weirdly probably thinking why are they acting like this in public, but I could care less.
"What are you guys doing here at this time?" I asked with raised eyebrows.
"Just up for some swimming. Care to join? Bring Sarah along with you." Dhruv said.
"You know what, I'll pass. You guys enjoy." I replied.
They just shrugged.
"Hey! You guys are already here?" I heard someone say.
"Yeah. We were just waiting for you." Aarav said turning in another direction.
I couldn't see the person whom he was talking to from the view of my balcony so I just stood there freely. The next moment a man dressed in white tshirt and black shorts came and stood in front of them. I still couldn't see that man's face as his back was facing me. Soon he started removing his tshirt causing my jaw to drop. The broad back with taut muscles and tanned skin caused tingles run down my spine. I wonder who this piece of meat is.
Dhruv then whispered something in the man's ear and all three of them turned in my direction, causing my jaw to touch the ground this time.
The man was none other than Ahaan.
He waved at me and I recovered myself from the shock of my life. I waved back slightly at him, turned back on my heels and ran back to room looking like a fool. I could hear faint laughter of men probably of Ahaan's, Dhruv's and Aarav's.
Sitting down on the bed, breathing heavily, I sighed. How could I think about him like that? Don't I have some respect?
'He's going to be your husband soon.' My subconscious voiced out.
"Shut up." I muttered.
"Don't tell me now you've started talking to yourself." Sarah said, sitting opposite of me.
"What no! I was just thinking about what's going to happen tomorrow." I replied smiling tightly.
I certainly don't want her to know what I am thinking.
"You know I am so excited for the next three days. Shivani Aunty told me that tomorrow will be your Haldi in the morning and after that the Mehndi.k" She said.
"Ohh. I can't wait." I said smiling.
I always wanted to experience a close wedding, but it never happened. But now when I am experiencing these rituals, it's on my own wedding. Atleast I am getting a chance.
"Me too. Shivani Aunty has already put all your wedding dresses in the closet right there. I have to say you're going to look amazing. Ahaan won't be able to control himself." Sarah said mischievously.
I chuckled at her excitement.
"Come on let's sleep. You wouldn't like dark circles in your wedding functions right." Sarah said getting ready for bed.
"No! I don't want that." I muttered horrified and got under the covers.
"Good night babe." Sarah said.
"Nighty night." I replied.
