"I knew you weren't ready." He said, annoyed.
"I was. And I am sorry." I said in frustration.
"Sorry for what exactly?" He questioned with a straight face.
"That I didn't talk to you since the morning." He looked at me with raised eyebrows, and I sighed.
"Okay, I didn't even look at you. But it was only because I felt shy." I reasoned, and unknowingly, a blush had crept on my face thinking about our last night's encounter.
"Since when are you shy with me?" He asked, as if it was the only thing he'd caught in my sentence.
"Since last night. I don't know how you're acting so normal." I said with furrowed eyebrows.
"Because there's nothing to be shy and ashamed about. We did that with both of our consents, and now you'll stop thinking about that, or I will do it again." He ended with a smirk.
"I already forgot." I shouted, getting closer to him on the bench we were sitting on in the garden of the mansion.
He pulled me closer to his chest, and I giggled at his actions, making myself comfortable. His hands made their way to my chin, and he pulled my face towards his only to capture my lips.
I kissed him back without any hesitation, and he slid his tongue inside my mouth. His cologne was making me crazy and I could never get enough of it.
"You taste like coffee which I made for you in the morning." I said excitedly as if it was the most important thing to say right after the kiss.
"Hmm?" He smirked, pecking my forehead.
"Ahaan, your abs." I said, admiring them.
"Yeah?" He said, pointing downwards.
"They are more toned than before. I remember the old ones." I pouted.
"Isn't it a good thing then?" He said with a smirk.
"How did this happen?" I poked one of those, and in return, only my finger got tilted.
"Because the last two months I spent almost 2 hours a day at the gym. When you would be sleeping." He ended with a known look.
"But you don't need to do that anymore, okay? I'll start looking like a potato beside you." I said, pointing to my figure.
"Potato? Babe, you're perfect." He said, looking at me with a smile.
"My choice with everything is the best, after all." He continued with a smug smile.
"Way to ruin the mood, Ahaan." I grumbled.
It was early in the morning as I had woken up early as ever, I don't know why and decided to wake Ahaan as well without any reason. He was so moody that I disturbed him, but without saying anything, I just placed a mug of coffee in front of him, and he was happy as ever.
But that doesn't mean I was normal. Last night, things escalated a lot. It wasn't that I didn't want it to happen, but I was just a bit shy about it, so I didn't really talk to him the way I do. It was my short and timid answers every time that he couldn't bear it at one point.
"I love you." He said, looking at me with so many emotions at the same time.
For the first time, a blush crept onto my face, hearing this, and I instantly placed my head in the crook of his neck, but my smile didn't falter for a moment. I was grinning, and I heard him chuckling lightly.

"Enough! I am going downstairs. And this is the last time I am telling you that you don't look fat. It's only because you're pregnant." I huffed at a grumpy Sarah.
"That means I do look fat." She grumbled.
"And that will only change after 6 months, so you better accept this and come downstairs." I said, rolling on Dhruv's bed.
"I just made the bedsheet." She shouted, pointing at me.
"Why? Did you ruin these a lot yesterday night?" I asked, smirking.
She just blushed in response, and there I got my answer.
"Oh my god! You guys are so -" I cringed.
"So in love? Yeah, I know." She butted in.
"I am hungry, Sarah. And if you don't come with me downstairs like right now, then I am going alone. You can stay here gawking at yourself in the mirror." I declared raising my hands.
"When are you not hungry?" She said, turning towards me.
I laughed at this.
"But we have a special breakfast today. I am excited." I said, visibly excited.
"It's nothing special. Almost everyone has already left, and there's just a few guests left who are now going to have breakfast together." She responded.
"That is fun for me because the only person who I spend time with these days is Ahaan." I shrugged.
"You've forgiven him about everything, haven't you?" She asked with a smirk directed towards me.
I just nodded my head in affirmative in response.
"I am happy for you, Kyra. You needed this, and you deserved this. So, just let the things go naturally, and everything will be fine for you." She said in a soft voice.
"I realized Sarah." I answered back in a soft tone.
"But you know what, I am still hungry." I shouted, getting up from the bed.
"You're so redoing the bed which you ruined." She muttered, pointing to the mess I created with the bedsheet.
"Dhruv won't even care." I waved my hand dismissively.
I ran my way out of Dhruv's room and back to the living room from the staircase. There were relatively less amount of guests making the house look normal as ever like it used to before.
I straightaway made my way to the kitchen for getting something to eat. I knew I couldn't wait for more.
"Mom, what's for breakfast?" Was the first question I asked her.
She pointed to the dishes kept on another countertop, and my eyes lit up seeing the numerous items.
"Oh, I so love you." I muttered, taking a piece of bread.
"Not now, Kyra. You need to wait until we plate this up the dining table." She said, gesturing me to remove my hand.
"But if you'll continue with this speed, then we'll have to eat all of this for lunch, not the breakfast." I laughed.
"Haven't you started speaking too much than what is needed?" She said, looking at me pointedly.
"Who me?" I faked a shock.
"Yes, you." I heard another voice making me turn in the same direction. It was Sarah.
"Oh, hey bitc -" I chirped happily when she cut me off with a fake cough.
"Hey, sister-in-law." I winked.
"You already said that hundreds of times." She responded with a frustrated look.
"Kyra, stop bothering Sarah. She's pregnant, and by the looks of it, you aren't making any easy for her to live peacefully. So, don't do it." Mom butted in making my eyes go wide.
"Mom!" I gasped.
"I am your only daughter. How can you say this to me?" I said, faking a sob.
"No. I have three. Two before you were even born. Alia and Sarah." She said with a smile, and Sarah looked at me with a smirk.
"I can't believe this." I said, wiping my fake tears.
"You're such a drama queen. Why don't you go out and disturb the boys?" Sarah said with a known smile.
"That's a fantastic idea. Thank you." I said, making my way out of the kitchen.
"Not Dhruv. I hope you remember what I'll do to you both this time." Mom's voice was heard making me pout.
My main target was now out of my list.
As I reached the living room, there was Dhruv, Ahaan, Nitya, and her parents with Yash, Dad, and now me as well. Yash was busy asking Nitya things, and by the looks of it, she was about to faint. Poor girl is so scared of her cold brother. Dhruv was busy with Dad and my uncle.
Ahaan was on one side of the couch busy on his phone, so I shrugged and went in his direction. He glanced up as I directly stood in front of him, and a smile reached up on his face, making my heart flutter in happiness.
"What were you busy with?" I asked.
"Just the tickets. I've booked the ones in the evening." He replied.
"Really?" I asked, surprised.
"Stop that. We discussed this in the morning." He said with a known look.
"I am getting bored." I pouted.
"I've a lot of things in mind. Why don't you join me somewhere private?" He said in a husky voice with a look that I remembered quite well from the previous night.
"Stop that." I blushed.
"Stop what?" He said innocently.
"This- this-" I stuttered.
"This?" He pressed further.
"Don't make fun of me." I changed the topic, and he smiled back knowingly.
Mom finally called us to have breakfast.
"We'll talk later." He said, getting up from the couch.
"Of course we are." I declared with a known look.

As I reached the home theater, I noticed everyone already seated. There were Ahaan, Dhruv, Sarah, Nitya, and Yash as well. The oldies didn't bother joining us, which was a plus point as we could now choose a movie of our choice.
Sarah and Dhruv were sitting on the first couch while Yash was beside a grumpy Nitya on the second one. Ahaan was on the third one, and I grinned, making my way towards the same.
As I was stepping on the stairs, a hand came in contact with my wrist, stopping me right there.
"Kyra, please." Nitya pouted gesturing towards Yash.
"He hasn't done anything to you for two days. And not to forget, he didn't even scold you this time." I responded, stating the truth.
"But why can't you sit with your cousin?" She grumbled.
"Because I want to sit with Ahaan." I whispered in bending down on her level.
"You're so whipped. I miss my old cousin." She wiped her fake tear.
"Started with the drama again." Yash said with a known look.
"Of course not, bro. There was something in my eye." Nitya responded in a sickly sweet voice, making me chuckle.
I freed my wrist from her grasp and continued making my way towards Ahaan, who was busy in his phone. I wonder how many more curses of mine this phone would get.
Sitting beside him, I patted his arm, and he glanced up from his phone. His expression this time was something that was unexpected. The anger was visible, and I gulped nervously.
"Are you okay?" I hesitantly questioned.
"Yeah. It's just something related to business." He replied with a straight face.
Now, I think sitting with Nitya was a better option at this point.
I made a safe distance from him quietly, and just as I got up from the couch for going towards Nitya, my hand stopped me right there.
"Where?" Ahaan questioned, making me gulp.
"Washroom." I replied too quickly.
"You just went there before coming here. What's the matter?" He asked.
"Uhh- nothing." I said, sitting again.
He looked at me for a whole good minute and then pulled me closer to his chest.
"I am not angry at you, Kyra. You don't need to be scared for that matter." He chuckled, and I visibly relaxed hearing him.
"I think a serious Ahaan doesn't really work with me." I said, shrugging.
"Is it?" He smirked, pecking my lips.
"They are going to murder you." I said, gesturing to Dhruv and Yash.
"Currently, they seem busy themselves." He replied with a smug smile.
Dhruv and Sarah looked like they were enjoying their newly wed period too well. Not for a second, they've separated from each other's arm. Yash and Nitya were usual as ever. With the too visible grumpy face and an all serious Yash was busy with the movie.
"I want to go back." I suddenly voiced out.
"Huh?" He asked, looking confused.
"I want to go back to Mumbai. As soon as possible." I said with a pout.
"Why?" He pressed further.
"Because I miss it." I lied, not telling him about the fact I miss our alone time.
"We have our flight in 5 hours. You'll get me only for yourself soon." He winked at the last part.
"Why do you have to know everything?" I grumbled.
He chuckled and pulled me, settling on his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and nuzzled right there. I can never get enough of this.
I turned my face towards the screen where now Dhruv had started a random movie. I didn't make any effort to change my position and continued sitting in his arms. It was way visible how he had zero interest in the movie. He kept gazing at me from time to time, making me nervous.
I turned my face towards him, and there I caught him.
"Caught ya." I smirked.
"I don't mind that. I won't stop either." He smirked back.
"You don't seem to have any interest in the movie." He said after moments of silence where I was busy playing with the buttons of his shirt.
I shook my head and continued with the most important task I was doing seconds ago.
"Did you mean what you said last night? You really forgave me?" He suddenly questioned, looking a bit serious.
"Yes." I replied after a good minute, facing his shoulder.
"I love you, Ky. I promise I won't disappoint you this time." He said, and I could sense the sincerity very well. His eyes were filled with determination, and this time, I knew I could give him another chance.
"I know." I muttered, resting my chin on his shoulder.
I have realized it very well that this time I can trust him again. The time, care, and love he has given to me these past days is the proof. I was way skeptical about accepting him and getting him near me, but he managed, and I can say I am glad he did.
I feel so happy when he does these things and the fact he makes me experience those new things. I have made the habit of having him beside me all the time, and now I know I can't let that go. This is so to be forever.
"You won't leave me this time, right?" I asked with difficulty.
"Never. You're the only person I want to live for." He replied instantly, and I smiled. It was good that he couldn't see me at this point.
"You won't hate me again for a misunderstanding, right?" I questioned again.
"I only said that in anger, and you know my temper very well. I can never hate you." He replied, and my response was a known smile.
"You will believe me every time, right?" I asked.
"Always." He replied in an instant, and I nuzzled into him some more.
"And you will love me forever, right?" I asked, and my heart started beating loudly as soon as I completed my sentence.
"Forever." He said, and I grinned.
"And what if I don't?" I asked with a mischievous smile.
"Then my love will be enough for the two of us." He replied, pecking my lips.
"But I've already started." I blushed.
"Started what?" He asked back.
"Loving you." I replied and crashed my lips on his.
