Relationship

Yoongi holds her hand as he guides her down the pathway. Jin switched shifts with him, pretty much Yoongi is patrolling with Y/n in the morning today while Jin does night with Jimin. Yoongi likes his nightshift, but today he wanted to spend time with his girlfriend. Like a mini date since they haven't had many of those. They've been so focused on everything else that there's been no real chance to go to dinner. Or a movie. Or even just a walk. So now he's making up for lost time. It's safe to say he's smiling.

"Should we consider this our first official date?" Yoongi asks.

She laughs. "We had a first date before idiot."

"Oh. First official 'on the run' date?"

"How are you so cold yet such a dork at the same time?" she asks.

"I don't know, but you must like that about me."

"You know what you can do to make me like you even more?" she says, waggling her brows.

"Whip out my big dic-"

"No," she instantly interrupts. "No just... ew. Never thought I'd hear that from Min Yoongi but... no. What I was going to say was you should tell me a cheesy pickup line."

"You're never dropping that are you?"

"Should I?" she asks. Ha, determined. He likes it.

They stroll down the sides of the castle with peaceful smiles on their faces. Everything is going so well in his relationship. They're having sex a lot, almost every night, not to mention they talk whenever they can. If they're ever free, they go to each other. It's a natural instinct, and Yoongi adores it. They have this way of gravitating to each other that no one else can match. Yoongi actually really likes having someone he can rely on. Someone he can fall in love with.

"You know, I've been thinking a lot recently," she starts.

"Did smoke come out of your ears?" Yoongi asks.

"You're in hitting distance."

He shrugs. "I've been shot before. Bring it on."

"You really don't have a filter do you?"

"No not really," he replies in a matter-of-fact tone.

She sighs and playfully rolls her eyes. "Anyway, what I was going to say is I don't know what to feel."

"You don't? About what? Me?"

She stops them, looking into his eyes. "I know exactly how I feel about you." Oh shit, his heart is pumping fast now. God dammit, why is he falling for her so hard?

"Well, before I take you on the grass, tell me what you're confused on," he whispers.

She softly smiles, then sighs and starts moving again. He follows, observing her while she contemplates what to say. There's a full minute of silence as she thinks. "I don't know if I want to do this anymore."

He raises a brow. "Do what?"

"The mafia life. When we went to the gas station, remember when I told you to go to Jimin to check on him?" He nods. "When you left, I looked up and saw a kid there. He must've seen everything. So I pointed my gun at him." Yoongi goes stiff, biting back the urge to hyperventilate. No, not the memories, not now. Gosh, doesn't he already have enough he feels bad about?

"But I couldn't do it," she says. "I know you said no witnesses, but I couldn't kill a kid. And now since we have Ariel, I'm glad I didn't. Kids shouldn't be brought into this mess. They shouldn't be like I was."

"Like you were?"

"Forced into a life I never wanted to live. I'll forever be running thanks to my father. Running from the cops, from other mafias, maybe even myself. I don't know how to process that. Or maybe I do and I'm not sure if I want to say the answer."

"It's just me. You can tell me anything," Yoongi says. At his comforting tone, she gives in.

"I think there's only one way I can stop my guilt."

"What way?"

"Taking down the mafia," she says in an almost-dry tone. "Taking down Madam Avasa." Yoongi instantly stops and grabs her elbow.

"Did you just say you want to kill Madam fucking Avasa?"

She nods. "I know it's impossible, but the underworld will collapse. These kids, that boy at the gas station, Ariel, girls like me? They'll finally be free, not to mention the innocents being extorted, the ones stuck in mafia families who are trying to get out. I can help them. I can free them."

"Why?"

She peeks at the ground for a moment, then she meets his eyes with a broken expression. "Because I have to," she mutters.

They stare for a few seconds. After, Yoongi leans forward and kisses her. She kisses back right away as if this is exactly what she needs. He's happy to indulge her desires, coming closer and wrapping his arms around her waist. But she wants more. She grabs at his shoulders and digs her nails into the fabric of his shirt, deepening their kiss, desperately trying to get closer.

He pulls back, letting out a heavy breath. "Woah, woah, what are you doing?" he asks.

She awkwardly chuckles. "Sorry, I can't help it sometimes. I um..."

"Like sex?"

"Love it," she mumbles, a little embarrassed. He brushes her cheek with his thumb and offers her a soft smile.

"It's okay, I get it. A lot is going on right now and sex is a good distraction. How about we talk about it?"

"What about it?"

"Well there's three factors in a relationship right?"

"There are?" she asks, tilting her head.

"Yeah. Like availability, emotional engagement, and communication. I'd say sex falls under the availability column."

She almost dies laughing. "You really are Mr. Romantic." He scowls at her while she keeps dying of laughter. Well, she's not wrong. "Cheesy pick-up line?" she asks while waggling her brows.

"Nope. Sorry. Let's talk about sex."

"Interesting conversation starter. Alright, what about it?"

"How often do you want to have it?"

Y/n purses her lips in thought. "All day every day?"

"Seriously," he says with a small smile.

"Ah, okay. Seriously... I uh, kind of need it often. I don't know how to describe it, it's like I need a lot of it."

"Then I'll give you a lot of it." She giggles, making his heart go soft. Okay, that's cute as hell. Yoongi is convinced he's in love at this point. How can he not be? They fought through hell and back together, and it's not even over yet. "How about every other day?" he offers. She seems hesitant.

"How about five times a week?" she asks. "Add an extra day?"

"Sure, I'm okay with that, maybe six on the really intense weeks."

"That sounds great to me. Can I be honest?"

He nods. "Of course, I hope you know you can always be honest around me."

She gets a little shy, then her smile widens. "I really like you."

He gives her a hand a squeeze and gazes at her. "I really like you too."

"Y/n!" a male voice yells. The two of them go still, turning to see a panting Taehyung running towards them.

"Tae?" Y/n asks in disbelief.

"Y/n, I left. I had to," he says once he slows to a stop in front of them.

"Left? Left what?"

"My spot as king, I had to leave. The High Council was asking me to give up your location, and I couldn't. I had to leave before they killed me. We probably have a day until they find out we're here." She nods and comes closer, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Come on, let's get you inside for some rest. You look like you've been running for a while."

"Nonstop," he says in between breaths.

She gives Yoongi a concerned glance he returns. "After we get you rested, we'll leave, okay? We'll start packing right away and we'll leave first thing in the morning. We have patrols set up, so if anything happens we'll know," she explains.

"That makes me feel better," Tae mumbles as Y/n guides him to the gates. Yoongi sighs and watches with a frown. So much for their date, but their lives take priority. There's only one problem now: how the hell are they going to escape the High Council without an ally still on the inside? Jungkook doesn't count anymore; he hasn't contacted them since the day they left. Yoongi grunts.

Looks like they're being thrown right back into the fray.

A/N: I've said it once and I'll say it again: this story is like Yoongi's version of Adrift. For those who don't know, Adrift is big chungus PJM story that's 150 chapters and like really long and good and stuff. This is Yoongi's. Breylin is Jungkook's, now we need one for the other members. The reason why I'm bringing this up is because the characters will go from very important to not very important all the time. So right now, Jimin, Namjin, and Sope are kind of the most important people right now. However, soon enough that'll change, and it'll keep changing as the story progresses since it's gonna be so long. Just warning you in advance that the character importance level will change all the time; I pinky promise I'm not ignoring any characters or showing bias towards any, I'm simply trying to give them all arcs cause I literally love them so much this is one of my favorite stories I've ever written. Thanks if you read this!
