Maxine's P.O.V

The last bell rang indicating it was the end of class for this day. I had no encounters of the four boys that you can call 'my bestfriends'

After the heated argument earlier, I skipped all of my class, in fear of having an encounter with one of them,  except my last class which was music and instead when to my secret place to think things through.

I was honestly feeling slightly guilty and I don't know how to apologize since my pride wouldn't let me.

After hours of thinking, I realized that it was wrong of me to snap like that. I couldn't honestly blame them for caring and worrying over me because I also worry about them.

If you still don't get it then, I'm an illegal underground fighter. I've been in it since I was fifteen and you could say that it was my way of releasing my pain and frustrations in.

It was my way of dealing my pain and I'm torn between giving it up or not. The four f-cktards have been annoying me since last year and as I said, this isn't the first time we argued about this.

I made my way out of the room, making a short pit stop at my locker before fleeing to the parking lot.

Twirling my keys into my index finger, I opened the passenger door and inserted the key turning on my boyfriend.

I reversed my way out the parking slot and drived my way out of school. I humm quietly as I enjoy the comfortable scenery that I was passing by.

I stopped mid-hum when my phone began ringing. I glanced at my bag and took a look at the front just in time to see the red light.

I took a hold of my bag and fished my phone out before answering, not bothering to check who it was.

"Who's this?" I greeted out, my eyes looking at the red numbers.

"Where are you?" The familiar firm tone of my step-mother rang through my ears.

"I'm currently in my car stuck in a red light on my way to hell." I answered, annoyance flashing through me.

"Where were you before that?" She asked, ignoring my different term of home.

"I was at school obviously," I answered, rolling my eyes at her question.

"Oh really? Then why did I receive a call from your school saying you didn't attend all of your classes except music? Where were you all day huh?" She said, sarcastically might I add.

"I was at school really," I said mocking her,"and I didn't attend my classes because I was in this place called mind your own fucking business." I snapped before hanging up on her.

I let out an angry sigh, step moms are so delusional. They think that because they're married to our dad gives them the power to rule over us or act like our real mother.

(A.n: I'm not saying that all step moms are bad, okay? This is her opinion about her step mom so please dont jump to conclusions)

Throwing my phone in the seat carelessly, I noticed that the red light was now green and cars were honking impatiently behind me.

Stepping unto the pedal, I ignored the few beeps of the car beside me as I managed to whip past them by my incredible driving.

My phone started ringing again and I could feel the familiar frown forming on my lips.

I turned around the block and started seeing the familiar houses of our street. We weren't on the rich street neither were we from the bad.

I stared at the newly repainted modern house. Due to my step mom's demand, The color of the house was changed into a light gray color.

I honestly stopped considering it my home years after that step mother of mine step foot on our front porch.

I honestly want to move out but I haven't reached eighteen yet but I'll be official in three months.

So, I have to wait for three months.

After parking my car at the garage, I let out a tired sigh as I made my way to the front porch. I was met by the familiar house mat of the house that says 'welcome' and I rolled my eyes.

I took the key under the mat and procedeed to unlock, entering the house. I was greeted by the familiar smell of lavender and made a note to myself to find candles that smell like that.

I took the remote that was on the glass table and turned off the 42 inch tv that was left on. I passed by the kitchen and ignored the two people that were having a heartily conversation.

I was about to take a step on the stairs when I was once again greeted by the familiar voice of—guess who? My fucking step mom.

"Why did you hang up on me? You must be thankful that I even check up on you despite my busy schedule!" I turned to looked at her.

Meet my fucking step mom, She was a few years younger than my dad and is an absolutely definition of a puta.

She has a shoulder length blonde hair that is always styled and the common blue eyes. She was a few inches shorter than me and has a vegetarian body.

How can she even resist meat? I'm surprised she didn't notice that being a vegetarian is a huge missed steak.

I'm funny like that.

She always finds a way to comment about how I behave and has took a liking in pointing out my mistakes infront of my dad. She thinks highly of herself and always sticks her plastic nose in my business.

Let's not forget to mention how her name 'Regina West' fits perfectly to the evil name of a step mom.

I despise her the way I despise cocoa puffs and I made that perfectly clear to her the day I slammed the front door on her face.

"I didn't ask for your twenty four seven guidance." I pointed out, rolling my eyes at her.

"You slut! Don't talk to mommy like that!" An annoying high pitch voice said.

Did I forget to mention that she has a daughter?

I forgot didn't I?

Oh well.

Meet Candy West, The school's popular stuck up doll and the carbon copy of her mother. I might've appluaded Regina for naming her daughter candy because just like candy, she's sweet and good on the outside but inside is a completely rotting attitude and fakeness.

Let's not forget that she's a people pleaser too, cue my annoyance.

"Bitch please, Your v-gina has more users than facebook could ever have." I scoffed, crossing my arms.

Candy turned beet red.

"How dare you accuse your sister in such vulgar things!" Her mother, stepped in, glaring at me.

My eyes widen,"Sister? Last time I checked, we were born from a different vagina." I stated, relief on my tone.

"And I wasn't accusing her, I was merely stating a fact. Please notice the difference." I continued, scanning my nails boredly.

Candy made a threatening step at me with an ugly sneer on her face.

"What is going on in here?" We all turned our head to see my father standing there in his armani suit.

Great, I thought sarcastically.

Another person who hates me.

Since Regina's back was to my father, he didn't see her give me an evil look before turning to him with teary eyes.

"Oh dear! Maxine has been accusing Candy of sleeping around and said such vulgar words to her!" She cried, walking up to my dad.

One.

Two.

Three.

"Maxine! How could you say that? Candy is such a sweet girl to do such things!" Dad said, his eyes flaring with anger.

Candy ran to his side and faked sniffled,"She wouldn't believe me and even threatened to pounce on me." Candy whimpered, innocently looking down.

I rolled my eyes not even hurt that he immediately sided to his step wife and daughter .

"Fake bitch." I muttered, before making my way upstairs not bothering to continue the argument.

I was left devastated on so many times hoping that my dad could realize how evil her step wife and daughter is but my dad is a really blind motherfvcker amd completely naive.

"Where do you think you're going? I'm not done talking Maxine! Get back here this instant!" Dad yelled.

"I'm done talking so I suggest you either take a rest or talk to your lying bitches!" I answered back, slamming my door shut.

I sigh, this is why I hate going back to this place. They always find a way to make me the villian and them the damsel in distress.

I plopped in my bed before opening my phone and started to scroll through different apps.

I didn't know how long I was scrolling through posts but I felt the familiar beast clawing at my stomach. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 4:48 pm.

The fight doesn't start till 9 p.m and I have a lot of time to kill. I decided to feed the beast and changed into a white lace shorts and a crop top that has coconut designs and finished it off with my flip flops.

I lived by the motto dress to impress because you never know who you might come across to.

A few months ago, Carson somehow bumped into Shawn Mendes at a grocery store and managed to take a picture with him.

I walked down the stairs and thought of a type of dish to feed my hungry beast. I was torn between so many choices.

Junk food.

Comfort food.

Natural food.

Fast food.

Organic food.

Whole food.

Never knew there were so many types of food ey? Me neither.

I entered the kitchen and ignored the the person that was sitting there silently drinking a glass of wine.

You probably noticed that I like to ignore people.

Yeah, it's my specialty.

"Why are you being like this Maxine?" My dad asked calmly, swirling the glass of wine gently.

I stayed silent, my back to him and decided to eat my favorite fruit loops. I took a bowl before making my way to the fridge to get some milk.

"Why are you being so disrespectful? Ever since your mom died, you became a spoiled brat!" He spit out, slamming his hand on the table,"Your step mom is trying her best to make a good relationship with you but you keep on pushing her away! If your mom were alive she would b-"

He didn't finish the sentence because I let the bowl drop from my grasp and unto the floor with a hard smash.

"Don't you ever dare utter's mom's death and that bitch of yours in the same sentence." I seethed, feeling the anger burning through me.

I gave him a disbelieving look,"I'm not being disrespectful dad. It's called not being a two-faced bitch and clearly showing them I don't like them." I continued, my hands forming into fist.

"How dare you say such things about your step mom!" He exclaimed, standing up with wide eyes.

I glared at him angrily,"You know what? I don't want to waste time on such a pathetic argument that will only end up with you still choosing her and her daughter of a bitch." I let out, my head shaking at him in pure disappointment before walking out.

I lost my appetite.

Passing by Candy's Room, I heard her giggling loudly and talking on her phone about her new forever 21 dress and stuffs that I have no business in.

I rolled my eyes and entered my room. Slamming my door for the second time and let out a small scream of frustration.

I couldn't stay here any longer, I'm on the edge of my temper and I don't know what will happen if I stay here longer.

I glanced at the clock, deciding to head at the ring early. Maybe I could waste a few drinks and can have a peace of mind while I'm there.

Sadly, fate was a cruel motherfvcker and decided that me having a peace of mind was big no no.
