it all began a few months ago.

well, it all began with a cough, blah blah blah, etc., etc. but that paper was honestly a lot of bullshit. i mean, the part about me being dead was true, and the parts about fiona. however, the 'happily ever after' trope was entirely false.

ever since fiona died and rejoined me in the afterlife, we've been frosty. i really am okay with my early death, and i've explained that to fiona countless times. once i'd finally gotten her to accept that fact, we had a very brief peace. that was shattered when fiona discovered her.

she is a living girl who has hair of richest, smoothest black. she has a laugh which is soft and booming and melodic. she has a smile like, well, not a summer's day, as i've never liked those, but the most cliche equivalent of that as could be found. the point i'm trying to make is that she's beautiful, and clever, and fascinating. don't i have the right to be interested?

unfortunately, fiona doesn't feel the same.

as you have seen, this book's chapters will be short and long in coming, but i do have valid excuses this time! i'm in honors english ii right now, which under my school's curriculum means taking sophomores up to the level of college juniors and basically depriving them of sleep, social lives, and the will to live. trust me, it's worse than it sounds. so, when i need to step away from that and i'm not cramping for some big test, i will try to update this and / or the joe kellogg chronicles, although honestly idk where i'm going with either of them right now. ALSO! if you are reading this! please comment names for my main character! riley atwood is apparently the name of a junior at my school! that's weird asf! also, i will have poc in this book, but it's not my right to tell their stories for them so my main character will be white. please keep that in mind as you comment names! now, as this author's note has gotten hecka long, i'm going to leave. thanks for reading! y'all are the real mvps!
