I wake up to see Serena still asleep.
I slip one of my arms out from underneath her waist.
I grab my phone and check the time, 7:04.
I should wake Serena up so we have an hour to get ready, but she looks so peaceful and happy when she's sleeping.
I'll leave her and wake her up in ten minutes.
I try to move my arm and then realize that Serena was hugging it, great.
The only way to get her off my arm is to wake her up because she has a surprisingly strong grip for a girl.
"Sere, Sere it's time for school." I whisper.
She turns her head and slowly opens her eyes.
"What." She moans.
"It's time to get ready for school."
"SCHOOL!" She shouts suddenly sitting up.
"Why?" She moans, then flops back onto the mattress and covers her face with a pillow.
I giggle.
"What's so funny." She says through the pillow. "You. Anyway, I'm getting ready for school so I'll see you in a minute."
I grab my clothes and walk into the bathroom.

I open the door to the bathroom and look around the bedroom to see no Serena.
"Sere?" I call.
"BOO!!" She shouts, peeping around from the door I just opened.
I leap back from the door, trip over THIN AIR, and hit my head on the floor.
"Ow!" I shout. "Ash! Are you ok!" Serena rushes up to me and starts searching my head for any injuries.
"I'm so sorry Ash, are you sure you're ok, you don't have to go to school, I'll tell your mo-"
I put my finger against her lip.
"I'm fine ok, it was an accident, so you don't have to feel so sorry."
I smile at her and she smiles back, but I can still see guilt in her eyes.
"I-I should go get changed."
She rushes into the bedroom, grabs her clothes and slams the bathroom door.
Serena must feel so bad. I'll have to speak to her, she seems like those types of people who over think when they hurt someone.
Serena eventually comes out the bathroom, but she looks really upset.
"Sere ar-" "I'M SORRY!" She randomly shouts really loudly, actually, she almost screams it.
"Sere its fine rea-" "No it isn't fine, I hurt you. I hurt my first ever friend." She looked like she was on the verge of tears.
I walk up to her and give her a hug.
"Serena. It doesn't hurt anymore ok, I'm fine, so please stop being so worried."
I pull from the hug and look into her eyes.
"You don't have to apologise anymore ok."
She nods.
"Now let's go get some breakfast and go to school."
We walk downstairs and into the kitchen.
There was a note by the fridge.
'Dear Ash,
I'm leaving early today so I won't be able to make you breakfast, I'll be home by the time you leave school. Look after yourself and Serena, love you
Mum'
"Um Sere." "Yes Ash." "My mums at the work early today." "Cool, so does that mean you want me to make breakfast."
She crosses her arms and I look at her with puppy eyes.
"Fine, go sit down at the table." "I can help if you want." "No it's fine Ash."
I walk into the dining room and wait for Serena to finish making breakfast.

Serena walks into the dining room with two piping hot plates.
"Here you go Ash. Don't eat it too quickly, it could still be hot." She says. "Ok Sere, Thankyou."
She sits down next to me and we eat our breakfast.
We finish and put our plates in the sink.
"You know that was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had." I say. "Really? Oh, Thankyou Ash." "No problem Sere. Shall we get going then." "Ok."
She looks at me with worried eyes.
"What's wrong Sere?" "It's just everyone hates me at school and I'm horrible at making friends." "It's ok, I'll help you." "You will?" "Of course, that's what friends are for." "Thanks Ash." "No problem, now let's go."
I grab her hand, run out the house and we start making our way to school.
