"We've heard that he's having shipments arrive at one of the docks, but we're not sure which one. We don't know when, how, why, nothing", the consigliere announces to the people sitting in the room.

Both Yoongi and Jimin sit on one couch, Runa and Jungkook on the other with the Doberman lying next to her heeled feet. Her brother was pissed and she mirrored his exact frown as they listened to Dong-Wook.

"Jesus, how can no one know anything? This is ridiculous. All the resources I have I'm using to comb this city and scrape it until it's raw, and yet he still can't be found", Jimin angrily spits out, causing the tatted male next to him to scrunch his nose and shift.

The consigliere nods with disappointment, "I know, boss. We have most of our men looking for him, day in and day out. Something will pop up eventually", he attempts to sound positive but it doesn't lighten the mood whatsoever.

"Will it?", Jimin scoffs, his palm smoothing back his dyed hair that looked fresh as always, pairing well with the suit he wore of a darker shade.

"We might have to make a move soon, anything to get him running out in the streets. We can't sit on our hands and let him roam this city freely. I won't let it happen. We won't", he takes a glance at his sister who nods in agreement.

"We won't, and I have an idea. It's reckless, and I might get killed but-"

"No", all three men say in unison, looking at each other before they settle a sharp look on her and she clears her throat from the tension.

"At least hear me out", she attempts, but with a shake of Jimin's head, a stern look from her ex, a side eye from her bodyguard, and a deadpan expression from the consigliere, she gives up.

"Alright fine, like I said it was reckless anyways. But-"

"No", they repeated, making her eyes roll.

"I was just going to say that if maybe we let it slip that I'll be in the city on a particular day, it may lure him out. If he knew for sure that I'd be somewhere, he'd take the opportunity to meet me and/or kidnap me to get to Jimin."

Before the men could protest, she held up her hand, "Which won't happen because we'll have men in the building ready to move in if necessary. All I'm saying is let's use bait to get his attention. I have the perfect place in mind, somewhere he wouldn't expect an attack because it's a public place with private floors only accessible by me. If I can get him to follow me, we'll have him trapped."

It's silent as she awaits an answer from her brother, whose approval is necessary to move on. She could feel the burn from Jungkook's eyes at the side of her head, but remained unbothered and kept her eyes on Jimin, watching as he contemplated and his frown eased.

"It's not a terrible idea. I can get my men to go undercover beforehand just in case Taemin plans on scouting the area to kill off any guards. We'll have a small camera on you to make sure you're safe and we'll record everything", he elaborates, receiving an eager nod from her before he questions.

"What place did you have in mind?"

"One of our dealerships, the one that's on the outskirts of the city, not too close to garner much attention and it has multiple exits. Seeing as people would be there, I think he'd make a plan beforehand if he knew I was going. We could see if he's caught on CCTV and have him searched in the system. We know what he looked like years ago, so I'm sure he doesn't look that different now", she adds in.

It's risky but everything they did always included that. Seeing as the Kang's owned multiple dealerships across the country and manufactured vehicles, it was a resource they could use, something that would catch this gangster's eye and make him want to meet her in a place where he'd think she wouldn't suspect being attacked.

"Alright, I'll get my men on that as soon as possible and we'll get everything prepared. Does this upcoming Friday sound alright?", Jimin asks and she agrees on the time frame suggested.

"The sooner we catch him the better."

The other men nod except her bodyguard, the tatted man remaining quiet as he listens to the plan, mentally takes note of everything so he can prepare on his side.

Once everything is in order, Jimin dismisses them to start making calls, and Runa doesn't miss the longing look her ex-boyfriend gives her before rolling his eyes at Dong-Wook who glares at him to leave. As soon as his car exits the gates, Runa heads into her office with Cookie and Jungkook on both sides.

"Are you upset with me? If you are just say so", she says once settling in her chair, propping her feet up on the desk, the elevation making her skirt slide up just a bit.

"No", he responds, his eyes telling a different story that made her tsk in disapproval.

"I don't believe you."

"Not my problem", he quips, almost grumbling, and by the subtle clench of his jaw, she knows he's pissed.

"We have nothing else to go on, Jungkook. I have to do this alone, and I know you hate that but-"

"Hate it? I despise the idea. The thought of you doing anything alone and without me by your side is the very bane of my existence. It's my purpose to protect you and I can't do that if I'm watching you on a computer screen."

"You're my driver, you can stay in the car", she tries to compromise, and for a second it looks like he might agree, but then his eyes narrow and those hopes are crushed.

"I don't think so", he hissed, and she rolls her eyes with a simple shrug.

"It's decided and you have no say in this. You're my bodyguard and I'm your boss. You do as I tell you. Or have you forgotten that? Do you need a reminder?", she threatens, still calm and not heated like he was.

His tone was vicious, it felt like acid burning her skin and poisoning her blood. In a way, she liked to see how much he cared, but on the other hand, she despised his stubbornness which felt too familiar.

"You're right, you are my boss. But if you told me to kill you, I wouldn't listen. If you commanded me to put a bullet in your chest, I wouldn't do it. Don't expect me to listen to you all the time, that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to drag you out of bad situations, make sure you're alive, and you're not at risk. So no, if you're going to make me stay in the car, I might as well not be your bodyguard anymore", he argues, and his last sentence makes her brows raise, her tone softening just a little.

"Are you trying to quit?"

That earns an eye roll, a massive one that makes her realize how emotional he's become. When they first met, trying to get anything out of him was like fighting a dog for its bone. He wouldn't react, and if he did, it was the absolute bare minimum. Now, she can see his restlessness, she can feel the tension, the anger, the protectiveness. It's reassuring but terrifying, and she knows she's fucked up for liking it.

"No, that's not what I'm saying", he snaps, detesting what she just asked and feeling repulsed by that stupid question.

"Stay out of my way and let me do my job. You want to protect me? I won't stop you but don't prevent me from doing what I need to. Do you think he'll approach me if he sees you by my side? No, he won't. I've heard enough from you today, old man, so ease up and turn that fucking frown upside down before I make you", she leans forward, her voice low and intentional to making herself clear to him.

Still, Jungkook wasn't afraid and wasn't going to give in so quickly as he stared back at her with the same level of seriousness and determination, "Call me old again and see what happens."

She stays quiet for a few moments, letting the tension rise as she moves closer, her arms propped on the desk and her nose just inches away from his, "Did I hurt your feelings, old man? I mean, not that it takes much anyways. You can't even get it up anymore, can you? Maybe that's why it's so easy to resist me when I'm bent over."

Her mocking sets him off for good. She has tested his patience far too long, she's driven him to absolute insanity, and he can't take it anymore. He's far gone, he's lost, and it's her fault. As soon as he gets up and circles the desk, without a moment of hesitation, he grabs her by the arm and shoves her against the wall.

"Jeon-"

He cut her off in an instant, pressing his lips against hers in a feverish kiss that had her breathless and grabbing at his now-disheveled hair. All that tension built up over time had boiled over and he couldn't keep it in anymore. She wanted this and now she had it, she had all of him and she can't take it back now.

To say she was too stunned to speak was meant quite literally. His lips were as soft as they looked, perfectly molding with hers and his dominance didn't fail to make its presence known by the way he held her against the wall and his tongue circled her mouth, playing with her own and sucking on it, leaving her a hot red mess that was panting once he pulled away.

Never did she expect him to kiss her like this, it was so intense it left her dizzy and in a drowning sense of euphoria, to where without another word and no care for the ability to breathe, she pulled him back in and kissed him. He took control and showed her who was boss, even if by technical terms, she was.

Just as he'd imagined, her lips were sweet and warm, an invitation to taste more. He was becoming addicted to it and couldn't let go of her to breathe. All the frustration he's held in for so long came flooding out, every flick of his tongue against hers made it clear that she was his no matter what, and there was no putting an end to what was just beginning.

A soaring sense of relief filled his chest having that thirst satiated, to hear those soft moans that he'd been thinking about ever since that night she told him things that made him feel a want he'd never experienced in his life. He's never kissed anybody like this, he's never claimed someone before and now that he has, he understands now why people die for this.

"Jungkook", she pants against his lips, lost in a state of shock from what's just happened between them and how he made the first move.

"My body works just fine and if you'd pay attention, you'd know that it's anything but easy to resist you", he responds, his nose against hers, their lips so close to touching again.

The only response she can give is a quiet moan when his hands go from holding her arms to pulling her closer by the waist, flush against him. The suddenness makes her gasp, heat coursing through her veins when she feels something hard throbbing against her abdomen.

"You feel that? Still working, yeah?", he rhetorically asks, completely crushing her attempt at mocking him and his age, even when he wasn't that old.

"Jung-"

"Apologize", he demands, glancing down at her lips with a sharp expression, "Or I'll show you what you should be sorry for."

Thickly gulping, she was desperate to feel his lips again and didn't care that her bodyguard had her pressed up against the wall in a compromising position. She loved it and had the chance to bask in the sense of authority he had over her, so with obedience that she'd never allow anyone else to have, she apologized.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook", she whispers, flinching when his eyes move from her lips to meet her softened gaze, lost in pits of black swallowing her in.

As soon as she's about to move in to feel him again and close her eyes to the blissful sensation, he squeezes her waist and teases her by moving his hips so she can feel him one last time.

Every muscle pressed against her, and something throbbing against her stomach that swirled with a flurry of butterflies. He grazed his lips against hers, pecking them once before moving away, the sight of him breathless making her thighs burn.

"Don't piss me off again, boss."

That kiss fucked her up real good. He pretended as if nothing happened and went about his day, but things felt different now that they'd kissed. It was almost like she believed that they were together in some way, even if it was never discussed, it was more so the vibe he gave off.

But let's be real, nothing is set in stone until you speak something aloud, so instead of fantasizing about him, she had work to do and luckily he was too busy cleaning his weapons to pay attention to her and how she was in her head. Friday rolled around faster than anticipated, and for the few days that passed, nothing else happened.

Even if when they were alone together, the room was filled with an unspoken tension neither of them addressed, I mean, how could she? What was she supposed to say or ask? A man like him wasn't one to act impulsively, no matter his temper.

Jungkook was always composed and every word out of his mouth and every action he took held purpose. He never did things just for the sake of doing them, there was always a reason and she couldn't help but think about what it could be in her case. Why did he kiss her?

Was it to shut her up? Had he gotten so triggered by her insult that he needed to let loose and show her that he wasn't messing around? Knowing him, it was probably both. Regardless, no matter the reason, nothing in the world could make her feel like that except for him.

She's kissed before, but not like that. That was a surreal moment, something you'd have to experience in real life to understand the meaning of. The closest way to describe how she felt was solace. In his arms and held close to his body, she could feel every part of him.

Not just his devastatingly strong muscles, or even the throbbing erection she felt poking her stomach. Not that that wasn't pleasing to witness, but it was how he kissed her with urgency. Like he was giving her everything he had and held her like she mattered. How he was rough but careful, not gripping her too hard or being sloppy.

The best thing to call it was raw passion, that's what she felt in her bones, and just thinking about it had her face flushing and her lips tingling to steal another kiss from the man. Each night, she'd be giddy in bed reminiscing of that precious moment she declared as one of the best in her life.

She's never loved like this before, never kissed someone with so much need that she was slowly dying inside and felt deprived even after only a few days without it. Not only was the kiss perfect in every way, but he looked pleased. Enjoying the panting and stuttering state she was in while looking down to see what she felt against her body.

Just thinking about him being hard had her kicking her feet. He said he's never felt desire, never wanted intimacy with anyone, or even thought about it. With just a kiss, he was throbbing and shameless about it, letting her know what he felt with full confidence.

Runa never thought she'd want to see a man's body so bad, but she couldn't help herself imagining what he'd be like without clothes. Vulnerable. She was appalled by her behavior, she'd catch herself thinking about things and want to mash her head against the wall, but at the same time giggle and blush about how it felt being in his intimidating yet comforting presence. Was this what love felt like? Finding everything perfect about someone and embracing them fully without hesitation?

Figuring it was, she knew she enjoyed being in love with a man like him. He was her protector and it might be cliche but it was only natural for her to fall for him. He was handsome, intelligent, everything she's ever wanted.

They had a lot more in common than most would think, and as a believer in fate, every day she'd wake up with a smile on her face, grateful to be alive another day and feel her heart racing at the thought of seeing her bodyguard, to feel his presence surround her. If outsiders heard anything about this, they'd laugh and dismiss it, since most of everyone only ever saw the side of her that was strictly business.

But as a woman of adaptability, it was easy for her to be serious one minute, flirty the next, or a complete bitch if necessary. If the situation called for a certain behavior or different approach, she never struggled with being perceived as the image she projected intentionally. Jungkook understood that, although most of the time he remained silent and nonchalant, he could be adaptable as well.

They understood each other without words because their silence spoke volumes. The world around them would completely vanish and their hearts would beat in sync, almost like they shared the same body. It was nice to feel that way with someone else, and you can imagine her frustration when he didn't tease her about the kiss or anything.

Sure, would she be flustered and scold him for doing so? Of course, but what did you expect? That's how they were, they liked to push each other's buttons until one of them fell over the edge and made a move. The move he made was quite bold, and even though she'd always known him as an upfront man, nothing could've prepared her for how easily she fell apart in his arms, melting like butter when his tongue slid into her mouth and he pulled her so close she thought she could feel him inside of her.

It wasn't fair, she wanted another kiss, and now as she prepared to leave the estate and follow through with the plan they had to lure their enemy, she had to push that in the back of her mind and focus as she got dressed in a purple business suit, something that would be easy to catch attention, along with white platform heels and her usual silver jewlery.

After pulling her hair back with a patterned black and white claw clip, she made her way downstairs where Jungkook stood by the door and waited, glancing at his watch until he heard her heels clicking against the floor which made him look up and resume his guard like posture.

"This is stupid", he plainly states as he holds the door for her and they walk out of the house, taking a deep breath of fresh air.

"You're just pissed because you can't come. You're stuck with the little bastard while you guys surveillance me in a van along with my brother. Sounds fun doesn't it?", she teases and he rolls his eyes, getting in the driver's side after letting her in.

"No, it doesn't", he grumbles, turning on the car and driving to the gate.

"Don't be upset, this is my life and you have to deal with it. I know you hate it but the reality is I'll always be in danger. Being who I am, a target is on my back 24/7 and if something happens to me, I want you to know you've done your absolute best and I don't want you to feel guilty if you can't protect me."

He dislikes the way she's talking and gives her the side eye, "What is this, a monologue? Your grand speech before you put yourself on the hook and dangle as bait? Are you planning on pulling some stunt we don't know of? I swear to Christ I'll-"

She chuckles and slaps his shoulder, feeling how tense he is and she resists the urge to squeeze him, "Relax, old man. I'm just saying the obvious here."

His eyes narrow on the road and she purses her lips at his chilling response, "I don't trust you."

"That's your damn fault. You should know I'm not stupid enough to change an already perfect plan. I'm not a loose cannon like you're insinuating", she defends herself, slightly offended that he brought it up.

"I never thought a lot of things would happen, and I was wrong. I hope this is one of those things", he sounds more concerned than anything now, still agitated which was shown by the scowl on his face and how his lips were pressed tightly together.

With one last pat on the shoulder, she slides her hand back into her lap, "Jungkook, I understand that you're worried but you know Jimin's men will be there. Nothing will happen unless we allow it", she says with unbridled certainty, knowing that the cards were in their hands, and she hoped they had an ace with this one.

"Still, if I'm not physically by your side, I get uneasy", he retorts, and she coos at him with a mocking smile on her face that makes his grip tighten on the wheel.

"What are you, a sick puppy? Can't go anywhere without your owner? Hm?"

"Boss, don't start with me. I'm not in the mood right now", he grumbles, and he barely jolts when he feels her hand on his thigh, and now that they're at a stoplight, he turns to her with a blank expression.

Meanwhile, she was amused and loved how his muscles felt exactly how she imagined them, "You know it won't take me long to get you all hot and bothered", she winks, hoping that maybe she'll get a hot kiss in return for acting bratty.

"You're trying to piss me off so I'll make a move", he was way too fucking smart sometimes, and she frowns when he removes her hand to place it back in her lap while turning back to the stoplight which flickered green, "It's not going to happen."

Just as he expects, she clicks her tongue at him while shaking her head, "What if I die or something? I don't get a goodbye kiss? What a dick", she crosses her arms over her chest and looks out the window, hoping he'd just give her what she wanted because it would make her feel worlds better.

At the next stoplight, a particularly long one, his gloved hand grabbed her chin and made her look in his direction, and of course, she got flustered but remained scowling at him.

"You're not going to die, and as I've said before, if you want something, take it."

She isn't sure what to do because she's too thrilled to speak, even if her face shows nothing as she contemplates whether or not to take him up on that offer. Luckily, the light was still red, and upon realizing she should get a kiss while she could, as soon as his eyes glanced down at her lips, her own pressed against his for a good moment before pulling back with an exaggerated smile.

"Happy now?", he snorts, his eyes now ahead of him as he licks off the red gloss on his lips, savoring the taste still on his mouth and the buzzing warmth he felt that was once unfamiliar and unwanted.

"I'm not going to die", she said with assurance, and he smiled the tiniest bit, the curve of his lips lifting as he took a glance her way and sighed.

"I guess that answers my question."

Her phone started to ring, interrupting their moment but once she saw Jimin as the caller ID, she pushed away her annoyance and answered.

"Is everything alright?"

"Yes, I just want to remind you to follow the plan and make sure the camera is set up correctly. Jungkook will help you with that and if you don't feel safe, use our code word, alright? We'll be watching."

"I will, Jimin. You don't have to worry for me", she responds, knowing what his response would be.

"I will always worry about you, you're my baby sister. No pulling any stunts, alright? You're a troublemaker and I'd prefer to not have you killed if I can help it", he retorts with a heavy sigh, hopeful that she'd follow the plan accordingly, but the reminder felt necessary.

She knew that was his way of saying 'I love you', and so she chuckled and bid him goodbye, not needing a lecture on safety and whatever else he'd rant about.

"Everything ready?", Jungkook's voice gains her attention and her heart starts racing when she sees the dealership ahead.

"Yeah, Yoongi gave you the camera right?", she doublechecks, earning a side eye from the man who rudely responds.

"Obviously", he grumbles while pulling into a parking space not too far from the building.

"Woah now, don't get snappy with me old man. I know you're worried about me but-"

The sharp look he gives her cuts through the teasing and slices her apart, "Call me old man one more time."

Her glossed lips pressed together, trying to hold in a laugh since she knew he was being serious.

"Can you not take a joke?", she snorts, his eyes intimidating her but she doesn't look away.

He was annoyed with her as he responded, "This mission is dangerous and you're trying to joke with me right now?"

A click of her tongue tells him she wasn't liking his attitude, "Goddamn you're so negative, you have to keep your spirits up in times like these. Sure, everything might go up in flames but hey, at least I'll die knowing I look good and I got a kiss from my favorite old man today."

Her wink makes his jaw clench so tight she's afraid his teeth will crack, "Kang Runa I swear-"

The woman heaves an exaggerated sigh, "You swear to Christ that you'll put me in the trunk if I don't shut my mouth?"

He blinks in response, his scowl not softening a bit and she leans forward, staring back at him with the same intensity, "Chill out, Jeon. I'll be alright without you by my side. Technically, you'll be on my heart", she pats her chest proudly with a sweet smile, knowing that the jewels on her dress shirt would easily hide the disguised camera.

He didn't know whether or not to roll his eyes, crack the smallest smile, or just kiss her for saying something so idiotically romantic that it made his insides twist. God, every day he was wondering how he's survived this long with the heart attacks he's been having lately.

Is he getting too old? Should he get his heart checked out? He's never had these issues before, and yet whenever he looks into her beady eyes and has the urge to kiss her bratty mouth, his heart does that thing. It makes his chest feel funny, like it's warm and he's taking a nice hot shower after an exhausting day. Relief? Tranquility? That's not what he felt with anyone.

"Runa, I mean it", his voice softens as does his frown, "Don't try anything funny."

Her mouth falls agape with offense reflecting on her face, "Why does everyone keep saying that to me? I'm not going to intentionally get myself killed. I'm not stupid."

The emotion in his voice becomes rough, "You're not stupid, you're far worse. You're a troublemaker, you like to create chaos because it makes you feel good. The fact that you have genuine fun doing things like this is disturbing and it puts us all on the edges of our seats."

Her expression falls and turns cold, a little hurt that he insulted her but she should've known he would tell her the harsh truth. So what if she has fun? Might as well make your life a party when you live in hell.

"And? I enjoy what I do because this is my purpose, ever since the day I was born, my fate was decided and I make the best of what I have. It isn't disturbing, this is me. I won't deny I like being chaotic, that's a side of me I don't embrace often and when I have the chance, I never refrain from letting loose."

He briefly closes his eyes with frustration, waving his gloved hand dismissively, "Runa, that's not what-"

She cuts him off, "That's not what you meant? Isn't it though? You don't like that side of me? Well, guess what, I don't give a fuck. If you don't like all the good, bad, and morally grey in me, you can disrespectfully fuck off."

Angrily, she grabs the door handle to escape this argument and after hearing that obnoxious sound of him locking the car so she can't get out, she groans in frustration and slams herself back in the seat with a red face. The only thing heard amongst the silence was her heavy breathing, and her heart pounding in her ears.

"Do I need to remind you who you're talking to?"

"What are you gonna do?", she challenges, looking directly at him and waiting for his nonchalant ass to make a move.

He was in thought about something, and the anticipation was killing her inside so she interrupted the silence, "I don't have time to argue. Put the camera on me so I can get this done and over with", she opens the glove box and gets a small camera piece out that Yoongi had since he was their tech guy.

It was convenient that he was a part of their inner circle because the Min's owned technology companies and his skills were put to good use. Meaning if they could get this guy on camera, he'd be the first to find him within just a couple of keystrokes.

It was small and he handmade it so it looked like the jewels on her white blouse underneath the suit jacket. Seeing as she handed the device to him to put on her and sat up, facing his direction so he could do so, he took the camera and stuck it carefully on her shirt.

"Alright let me out", she turns to leave once again but the car remains locked, and her teeth clench with annoyance.

"Jeon fucking Jungkook, unlock the goddamn car right now."

"No", he calmly replies, trying to drive her over the edge and she whipped her head in his direction to glare at him, which did nothing but make him feel good.

"You're not leaving until you get rid of that attitude. With the way you're acting, you'll get shot in an instant if you're not careful with your words", he explains, earning an eye roll from her.

"I don't have time for this. Let me out now", she argued, but he wasn't letting up.

"I said no."

She took a moment to breathe, to close her eyes and remember that this wasn't what she needed right now. Getting upset over no reason. She had to remind herself who he was, like he said, this was his job and her life was on the line. Things were moving fast and none of them knew if they'd be alive to see another sunrise. After realizing she may have gotten a bit too hostile, she sighed and turned to him, his eyes already on her.

"Ok, I'm calm."

"Are you?"

His words stung, spiking irritation in her veins that had her heart thumping once again. God, how could she want a man as badly as she wanted him? If only he wasn't such a fucking dick.

"Jeon, I said I'm calm. Don't start this again", she warned, keeping her composure and minding her tone.

"I'm not letting you out of this car", he stated, and she huffed.

"Why the hell not? We're wasting time here and-"

"Shut up", he interrupted.

Her eyes widened and she laughed, not believing her ears as she stared incredulously at the audacious man, "Excuse me? Who do you think you're talking to like that? I'm your boss and you need to watch your fucking words or I'll shove my knife so far up your-"

He sighed heavily, his shoulders slumping as he did so, "Shut up and kiss me, you fucking brat."

She stuttered, her brain short circuiting and she wondered if what he said was either her imagination or a test. He could see she was conflicted, but her eyes told the truth. She wanted him just as badly, and there was a great sense of relief in knowing that.

"Jungkook we don't have time-"

"Shut up for once", he cut her off once more and grabbed her to sit in his lap, her back against the wheel which caused it to honk loudly but neither of them cared in the moment.

His hands held her face and she buried her fingers in his hair, tugging at it while her mouth was latched to his, pulling away for a few seconds to breathe before he pushed her in again and bit her lip, one hand sliding to hold her neck while the other trailed down to hold her thigh.

"Jungkook I need to go. Let me out", Runa whispered, kissing his neck and leaning away so she wasn't as close and tempted to keep going.

The sight of his skin flushed, hair tussled, and lips red from her biting them was art in itself. Forget all the expensive and lifeless paintings hanging in museums for thousands to stare at and feel nothing. There was no greater beauty than seeing someone you love in such a state, looking at you in a way that made the world feel small.

"I know. Just let me look at you for a minute", he panted, his hands moving alongside her face, tracing her jaw, his thumb brushing against her bottom lip.

He was tempted to slip it inside her mouth, feel how warm it was, but she was right. He was losing his head and now that the tension is starting to simmer down, he now realizes how stupid he looks. Panting like a desperate animal over a kiss, a very good one but that's beside the point. They were on a mission, this was life or death, and he was being selfish, trying to keep her to himself. There was that gnawing feeling again.

"If you feel afraid for even one second, you're out of there and back with me."

"Yes", she nodded, glad that they got over their little argument or whatever the hell that was.

"Yes what?"

She gulped, chuckling and smoothing back his hair with her hands so no one suspected anything, "You want me to call you sir?"

"Feels like more of a need", he admitted, her lips parting in surprise.

"Excuse me?"

"I need you to say it. Call me sir."

She didn't know what to say. The disbelief was hitting hard, so she gawked at him for a moment before grinning.

"Is that what you're into?"

"Call me sir or else we'll be in this car all damn day", he sassed back, his coldness making its return but it thrilled her to know how much he wanted it.

"I understand, sir. I'll be safe and call for you to come to my rescue if need be."

He grabbed her cheeks with one hand, his hand almost covering her whole face as he squeezed them, her lips puckering, "Good girl. Now get out before I put that smart mouth to better use."

His suggestive innuendo made her slap his buff arm as she crawled off his lap and out of the vehicle once he unlocked it, "Tease", she mumbled.

His sharp eyes watch as she walks away and towards the dealership, admiring the view from behind which made his stomach flutter. He then pulls out his phone and messages Yoongi, making sure he and Jimin are in the white van parked across from where he was. Once he gets the confirmation, he locks her car and puts the keys in his pocket, making sure his mask was on as he walked in the parking lot to the other side.

With a few bangs of his fist against the back of the vehicle, the door swung open and he got in, seeing a whole surveillance system set up with Yoongi in the chair watching over everything and Jimin alongside him, both of their eyes concentrating on the footage of multiple CCTV cameras and the body cam on her blouse which showed her speaking to a few people before going into a private area.

"Your men are in place?", Jungkook directs towards the silver-haired male who nods, his eyes glued to the computer screens.

"Yes, they're everywhere in case anything happens", he responds, the vehicle quiet until Yoongi grabs his iced coffee and sips through the straw, barely any left in it as the noise it made was obnoxious and made Jungkook's eyes burn into his back.

"That's annoying", the bodyguard comments, making the tatted male turn back at him with a nonchalant expression.

"Good", his lips suck on the straw, his cat-like gaze never leaving the bodyguard's who frowned and looked away, not amused enough to pay attention to him as opposed to making sure Runa was safe.

Yoongi took a glance at the man, eyeing him up and down until he noticed something that both made his blood boil, and caused a sneaky grin to spread on his face.

"I see you two have made some interesting developments", he finally put down the coffee and rested his chin atop his fist, enjoying how the bodyguard slowing turned his head so their eyes could meet.

"How so?", the older man inquired, and the man sitting in the chair wandered his eyes downward, lingering where they shouldn't be.

He clicked his tongue in disapproval, knowing the situation he got himself into and of course out of all things, the stupid little bastard had to notice something that he shouldn't have.

"Be mature for once. This is a serious matter and you're concerned with something that you shouldn't be."

Jimin watched the two, rolling his eyes to see them arguing over his sister which he was sure was the cause of that. He wasn't even upset at Jungkook, more so irritated with her ex that never failed to show just how jealous and bitter he was. His eyes refocused on the cameras, letting them bicker in the background until Yoongi could take a hint and shut his damn mouth.

"I'm just saying, very unprofessional and repulsive if you ask me", Yoongi bit back, his tone sour, and his attempts of trying to embarrass the older failing.

"Good thing you're not my boss. She is. And she wasn't complaining", Jungkook responded, seeing how the white-haired male visibly fumed and his cheeks got pink.

He huffed and turned back around to the cameras, angry and embarrassed because he could find no good comeback. Jungkook on the other hand loved how easy it was to press his buttons and get this reaction. So much for being mature.

From what they could see, she had taken the elevator to a private floor, and once she walked out, the lights automatically turned on. This department was off the books for a good reason, the whole floor resembling something of a warehouse since it was full of military tanks weaponry, and things that shouldn't be open to the public.

As she walked into the familiar hall, the ceilings high as the lights beamed down and made her look around since she hadn't been to this location in a while. She made her way to the other side where there was a singular door, one of her private offices.

As soon as her manicured nail pressed the buttons to unlock the door, her heart stopped when she saw an unfamiliar man in her seat, his face and neck fully tatted and his gelled hair styled handsomely. Upon her entrance, the man kept his hands folded on her desk as the door closed on its own and shook her out of astonishment. How the fuck did he get in here? No one knew the passcode but her.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?", she asks, her heels clicking against the floor as she's face to face with the man who sits smugly in her chair at her desk.

"Don't ask questions you know the answers to, Runa. You know exactly who I am", the man says with a pleased grin that had his plush lips curled up.

This was the man, the one who was behind Dori and Taehyung, the one that now led the Yakuza and was easily one of the most dangerous and wanted men alive.

"Well the second question, I don't know the answer to. How did you get in here? No one has the access code but me", she presses, now standing in front of the desk with her hands folded together and her aura of intimidation exuding like a gust of wind.

Much like she's seen before, he looked at her like he knows things she doesn't, and she despised that. Similar to how Dori and Taehyung were, this fucker was a tease, a man who could set someone off with just a look. His voice sent a chill down her spine, eerily dark and twisted. He wasn't right in the head, he was bloodthirsty and that insanity wasn't something she missed. She understands that sinking feeling in her gut. They are royally fucked.

"Are you so sure about that?"

It was rare when someone else could make her question herself. But the feeling this man gave her, it wasn't something she could shake off. He was the thing hiding under her bed, the shadow following her everywhere she went, the man watching from the outside. Did she indeed? Could she be so sure about anything even after being betrayed by a childhood friend and a crazed man that she thought to be an ally?

"Now that you say it like that, no. But it's not too shocking that yet again I've been betrayed", she says while plopping down in one of the chairs, allowing him to think he had the upper hand when she knew that at least 100 of Jimin's men were around.

Even with that number, it was no comfort now that she was sitting across from him. Too many questions and not enough time to get all the answers when she wanted them. Why wasn't this seen on camera? How was he not detected? Regardless of the fear, she buried that deep inside, even knowing how deep in shit she was.

"I know the feeling well. It's crazy what people would do for money. For love", he retorts, his creepy smile making her eyes narrow in suspicion of what that could mean.

He wasn't the typical criminal to be so fearless as to oppose the leader of the Russian mafia and the Kang heir. He had resources, allies, and most of all, knowledge that she didn't have of who betrayed her. She hated not knowing so she decided to be blunt, although what he said confused her, she wasn't interested in playing this game his way.

"If you tell me who's betrayed me, I'll give you something in exchange", she offers, drumming her nails against her thigh as she awaited his answer, taking in his appearance when she saw a familiar tattoo on his face, but quickly ignored it once realizing it must be common.

"Hm, and what would that be?", he inquired, leaning back in the leather seat with his arms folded together and a malicious grin on his face.

"Anything you want", she replied, hoping he'd give in and give her what she wanted, but she should've known better.

"All I can say is that it's someone close to you. Someone you'd never suspect", his eyes twinkle with mischief and it makes her blood boil, her nails digging into her thigh as she holds back from strangling the man with her bare hands.

Much like Dori and Taehyung, he seemed to be one for games, and she could tell seducing him wouldn't work. He looked dead inside, like he couldn't feel anything, and was a man who had no desire but to watch the world burn.

"I see where Dori got his personality from. Copy and paste it seems. Except add on a shit ton of tattoos."

He raised an eyebrow at the mention of said male, but chuckled at her comment, "I wonder what your brother would think if he saw me right now. After all the years, all the pain and suffering, I'm so close to getting what I want. And I'm so close to his sister too. I could snap your pretty neck and there wouldn't be a goddamn thing he could do about it."

"Careful."

Her tone made him laugh mockingly, "Oh, I'm shaking over here. God help me if I threaten you."

"You'll be praying God for forgiveness soon once you realize what you've started", she replied.

He genuinely chuckles, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he claps his hands together in approval, "Wow, you are something Kang Runa. I can see now why he fell for you."

"Who?", she questioned, hoping to get some type of satisfactory answer but with a playful eye roll, click of his tongue, and his index finger wagging tauntingly, she should've never had the slightest hope he'd spit it out already.

"No no, you should know better than to ask me that. My lips are sealed", he imitates locking his lips and throwing away the key, and her patience was running lethally thin that instead of keeping calm, she let her mouth run.

"I can unseal those lips of yours, maybe pull out your tongue to see it wagging. Might as well just fucking tell me what you want, bastard", she seethes, done with the games as she's been spent from playing them with both Dori and Taehyung.

In response to her anger, he raises his eyebrows with a calm voice as he leans his arms on the desk, "I see you have a thing with nicknames, right love?", he muses, giving her a wink as he then stood up from his seat and watched her lips part in confusion.

Love? Why would he call her that?

"I have places to be, Miss Kang, I'm sure a woman of your status can understand why I must leave. I have people to kill and things to blow up", he winks once more, walking away from the desk and when approaching her, she stood tall in a flash to show him she wasn't intimidated.

He was much taller than her like everybody else, but her fierce attitude made her look terrifying, and it sent a rush of satisfaction down his spine seeing her this close, feeling her power that was as hypnotizing as her perfume.

"You're not gonna get away with this", she speaks lowly, trying her absolute best to not lose composure, her dark eyes reflecting his own that were just as astounding.

"Watch me", he leans to whisper in her ear, and indeed he walked away unscathed.

After a moment, she ran after him, taking the elevator up to the main floor and making sure he couldn't escape because of the guards Jimin had surrounding this place. Yet her heels frantically clicked against the floor, her hair swaying with every turn of her head as she looked around every inch of the place and couldn't find him.

As soon as she steps out of the building and spots her car and the white van across the parking lot, she makes her way towards it and immediately stops and turns around when she hears an explosion. It pierced her ears and made her head spin, her palms pressing tightly against them as she witnessed her car being blown to smithereens, a raging fire started and customers frantically rushed out of the building and recorded it with their phones.

Standing there stunned, she watched scraps of metal fall in the parking lot from being blown in the air, and the crackles of the fire could be heard rattling through her system and burning her body, almost as if she was lit aflame. That car was precious to her, even if it was just materialistic, it held memories.

The tears and laughs she shared with people, the fights, the love those leather seats had soaked in, was now gone. Much like the head they were sent, her car being blown up was a message, a threat. She never took those lightly, and reflecting on the things Taemin had said, he knew what would happen and how she'd react. Watching the fire burn hot, hearing the chattering of bystanders that stood far away to watch, and hearing the faint distant sound of footsteps come behind her, the ones of her bodyguard and brother, made her feel impeccably numb.

"Runa...", her brother's voice could be heard on her right side, worried but relieved she wasn't harmed.

"He's gotten away, hasn't he?", she slowly says, and she takes his silence as an answer.

Jimin glanced at the bodyguard, a look of disappointment on his face and Jungkook had a scowl, even when he put a comforting hand on her shoulder that he was surprised she hadn't shrugged off.

"Let's go, let the staff handle this", he suggests, leaning down to speak in her ear and hoping that she heard him because he could see the fire reflecting in her eyes.

She was distant, in her mind about what just happened and still trying to come to terms with how she was going to attempt to calm down when he's destroyed one of the most precious things she's ever owned. It felt like the memories didn't exist anymore.

That exhilaration she experienced as soon as she signed those papers and was handed the keys while being embraced by the aesthetically pleasing smell of a brand new vehicle, never existed and the happiness couldn't be brought back. The feeling of driving late at night, swerving on roads and breaking laws while feeling the freedom and air nipping at her skin was nonexistent.

All the times she was alone and with others in that car flashed in her mind, one of the only materialistic things she held dear to her heart had been destroyed right in front of her eyes. She felt rage, disgust, and despair seeing one of her creations burn to nothing but rusted metal and broken car parts.

"My fucking car..."

That was the only thing she whispered as she turned away and got into the white van, not in the mood to say anything and needing a moment to collect herself. The trio of men stayed silent as they drove back to the estate to meet with Dong-Wook and explain what happened. Somehow, they had to figure out why Yoongi's surveillance system was hacked, and why even he couldn't fix it.
