Chapter 3: Angel's tears.

Life never fails to surprise you. When you started to accept your life, That spot life will be ready with new twists and turns. Likewise, The unexpected meeting and the unexpected hug gave new flavours to shivaay's life. He thought he will at least talk to her once before saying goodbye to the school but everything turned out as a surprise.  She even asked him to meet her after school. That whole day in school went miserable for shivaay. He had no idea, But he felt like the whole day going too slower than usual. He never thought he personally had to count each passing second during that day. At last, The time came, The school bell rang, student emerged outside from the classroom. But his feet weren't moving. He had no idea, Whether it was because of Anika's presence but there was no courage left in him go out from his classroom and made his way towards her. He accepted the defeat and leaned down in the bench. He had no idea which was stopping him, But he just couldn't take a step ahead when it comes to anika and meet her. 

"Hey, Topper" - He heard a familiar girl's voice from the direction of the entrance. A huge lump formed in his throat when he heard her voice out of sudden. But He raised his head to make sure he was not dreaming. His eyes moved towards the entrance but nobody was there, Heaving out a deep breath, He was about him place his head on the table. 

"I called you," - He again heard her voice which made him jerk at the very next second as she was standing nearer to the end of the table while crossing her hands. She was staring at him with confused eyes. 

"You!" - Words slipped from shivaay's mouth when he saw her next to him out of sudden. 

"Yeah, Me... If you don't mind, Shall i take the seat? " Anika asked Before he could respond, She took the seat and sat next to him. There was hardly a five inches gap in between them. Shivaay's thighs automatically started to shiver due to proximity. But He hell controlled it. 

"You remember, We were about to meet before 10 minutes..." - She asked while turning towards him. 

"I was about to come... But..." - Shivaay paused as there were no words came from his side. Anika felt different she immediately picked his palm which was in the table. 

"Hell, No... Why are you burning like this?..." - Anika exclaimed, Immediately she kept her palms on his forehead and exclaimed with a worried face. Shivaay looked at her all his eyes open because he hardly remembered who checked his temperature and exclaimed like this because he has a fever. Everything was very new to him but He liked it in the way that he never wants to loose that care ever in his life. But Tears crossed his eyes when he knew it's not possible. 

"Oh my god, Come with me... I will take you to the medical centre..." - She said in an impatient tone and helped him to stand. He then recognized why his feet weren't moving. It was not because of fear, It was because of the fever. Okay, ten percentage of fear and ninety percentage of fever. She wrapped his arms around him and took him towards the medical care of the school. He couldn't able to believe what was actually happening in his life. But whatever happening He wanted that for his entire life. Anika stared at him in disbelief when she saw the temperature reached 101. Even though he had fevers multiple times, He never felt this much ashamed for not taking care of his health condition. 

"I will talk to the mess, And asked them to give your dinner straight to your room..." - Anika said while taking him back to the room. 

"There's no need for that... I can take care of myself... It's just a fever..." - Shivaay said to her when she saw her with a worried face. But she didn't listen to him. She asked him for the direction to his room instead. 

"Boys hostel" - Shivaay exclaimed in shock. 

"Just do what i say? Which direction? Left or right?" - Anika asked him. 

"Left" - He said, Holding his palm for his support, She took him towards her room. She was taken back to see his room. It wasn't like other people rooms. It was small comparatively. She cursed the management in her mind and took him towards the bed and made him rest. 

"Thank you!" - He spelt, But she didn't hear anything. Rather she filled the glass with water and gave it to him. 

"Stay hydrated" - She ordered when he was drinking the water. He didn't say anything but looked at her confusingly in the question, Why she doing this to him. 

"Take my phone..."- She said and gave her a Nokia basic model phone black n white. 

"Your phone..." - He questioned her. 

"My grandpa presented me for my last birthday... Take this... Even i left, I will call you throughout the night... To make sure, Whether you're alright or not... Take care, Okay... If you want any help, Don't hesitate to call my landline, My house is in the next street... I can come at any moment..." - Anika said. 

"You're leaving!" - Shivaay asked in a disappointed tone. His eyes badly wanted her to stay with him, But he knew the reality on the other hand. She became spellbound for a while. But shivaay paced himself back when he got silence from her. 

"Give that phone for a second" - Anika asked, He gave the phone to her. She dialled a number. 

"Hello, Daadu..." - She answered. 

"Actually I told you about my new friend, Remember, Yesterday..." - She asked her daadu, His eyes came out in shock in the fear of what she was about to do. 

"Yeah, The same, Topper..." - She said with a slight smile in her face looking at him. 

"High fever, Daadu... he can't even able to stand on his own feet... What shall i do?" - Anika asked her daadu. 

"Thanks, daadu... You're the best..." - Anika said and rested the phone call. She came towards him with a smiley face. He was confused. She grabbed his bag from the table. And opened the cupboard with asking permission. she took the books from the bag and neatly arranged them in the table. And grabbed some of his clothes and threw them inside the school bag. He was very much confused with her act. 

"What happened?" - He asked her finally. 

"Blind? Packing your bags... You're coming with me... To my house..." - She said while packing his clothing.

"WHAT? NO! I CAN'T..." -  Shivaay exclaimed in shock. 

"Who is asking you? I have decided, You're coming with me..." - Anika said. Within ten minutes, They both heard car honking sound. 

"Come..." - She forcefully made him stand and proceeded their way towards the entrance. Her daadu passed a wide smile while signing the directory in the warden's room. 

"How's your health, Young man?" - Her daadu asked him in a cherished tone as he knew him for a long time. Before Shivaay could answer, Anika answered. 

"He even took a century in fever... Not century, It's actually 101..." - Anika replied to her daadu who held his arms and proceeded his way towards his home. He was slightly taken back in surprise when she experienced the jovial behaviour of anika as well as her daadu. They reached Anika's home. 

The more surprising thing for shivaay was Anika talked about him for the entire night with her daadu. He was very happy, He felt like jumping at the spot, But he couldn't do that because he was inside the car. He never felt a single sentence of anika talked about him make him this happier. It's not because of love, It's because someone in this world who cared to talk about him. Over that time, He felt his existence in the world. 

They reached the house and shivaay greeted her grandma and again taken back in surprise to see them arranging the guest room for him. Anika took him to his room. She made him sit on the bed and gave him the glass of water. He drank it. Then her daadu came and started his one of crush stories, Both Anika and shivaay laughed hell out. Her daadi came with the dinner plates. Both Anika and shivaay had dinner in the room. Everything seems to be so familiar for shivaay but he wanted to ask her, Why she was doing this much for him. 

"Shall i ask you one thing?" - Shivaay asked her. 

"Permission granted..." - She said with a smile. 

"We met just yesterday...Why you're doing this much to me?" - Shivaay asked her with welled up eyes. 

"We just met through eyes, Yesterday... For me, I met you on that day when my classmate said about a guy who got admission with 90% Scholarship..." - She said with a smile. 

"On that day, I had challenged my classmates who were against you that you will win, And now, It happened... It's not like, I am doing everything because you didn't let me down... It's because of nobody valued my trust, But you, You valued... I know you don't know anything about it..." - Anika said. 

"I know about it..." - Shivaay said. 

"But how?" - Anika asked him shockingly. 

"I was about to leave the school on the first day itself... But i heard you supporting me in the girl's restroom... Actually i unknowingly locked myself there... More than me, You had trust in me that i will win in my life... I took up everything as a challenge only for not proving you wrong... I don't want to break your trust..." - Shivaay said more like a whisper. Tears crossed her eyes unknowingly looking at him.

"Are you crying? Why? I am sorry..." - Shivaay whispered back. Anika wiped her eyes off and didn't say anything for a while, But for her, It was too surprising. She became spellbound when he told her everything. She wanted to hug him for not breaking her trust. But she held back. She felt something more than friendship, But she was afraid to confirm anything so sooner. He looked at the teardrop in his palm. He looked at it at the same time. Only she knew It was not the teardrop of sorrow. It was the teardrop of happiness that someone actually cared for her feelings, valued her trust and won it. 

"Okay... Take rest... I am in the next room... If you want anything, Just call my name..." - Anika said but he looked at her with the same gaze when she told that she's leaving home. She understood, She straightly moved towards the cupboard and took the blanket along with pillows, threw them on the couch. Her daadu noticed everything but didn't stop her. 

"If you want anything, Just whisper...  I am just 10 meters away from you... Okay..." - She asked and went towards the couch.  Everything was noticed by her daadu. He felt the change in the climate but decided to stay silent until anika discuss something to him.
