Trolls
Kili came back with the ponies that had strayed off, as I fed the other ponies. We started chatting as Fili now left to count the ponies.
"So... How do you like the company so far?" He asked.
"They are all so nice, except I don't think Thorin likes me very much."
"Rubbish... He's just a bit stressed, that's all."
"Well, I am looking forwards to seeing Erebor again." I changed the subject, as I glanced at Fili, who was looking at the ponies.
"I as well, Fili is next in line to be king under the mountain. He gets very dreamy-eyed when he thinks about Erebor, and when he thinks about you, like when he told me he that he fancies you yester-" Kili clapped a hand over his mouth.
"Um... I wasn't supposed to mention that."
"I won't breath a word." I laughed, and then sighed. "I think I fancy him as well." That was a lie. I didn't fancy him. I loved him. I loved Fili.
We watched as Fili started towards us.
"Can you please count the ponies?" He asked.
I looked around. "14... Weren't there 16?"
"Yes."
"Well this is a quandary..."
"A what?"
"A problem." I sighed in frustration.
We all stared around at the ponies, wondering what to do next.
Bilbo came up beside us, holding three bowls of soup.
"What's the matter?" He asked looking at our facial expressions.
"We're supposed to be looking after the ponies..." Kili started off.
"Only..." Fili added.
"We've encountered a sight problem." I chimed in.
"We had 16..." Kili started again.
"Now there's 14." Fili added again.
"Daisy and Bungle are missing." I finished.
They all stared at me.
"You remember the names of the horses in one day?" Fili asked me.
"Not the point." I replied through gritted teeth.
"Daisy and Bungle are missing." Fili repeated, as we looked around at the ponies.
"Well, that's not good. And that is not good at all. Should we tell Thorin?" Bilbo had just pointed out uprooted trees very close by.
What? When did this happen? I thought to myself.
"Uh... no. Let's not worry him." Fili stated.
"As our official burglar, we thought you might like to look into it." Kili added.
"Well, uh... it looks as if something big uprooted these trees." Bilbo replied.
"Oh my goodness. Am I the only one who sees a light over there? Can we not just go take a look and see what it is?" I finally burst out.
"Alright, alright." Fili mumbled.
"Stay down." he whispered, we got down.
We crept towards the light, as we got closer I could see Fili's hair just slightly blowing in the breeze. His features were illuminated by the light.
I snapped back to reality. "Trolls." Kili whispered.
"Come on Bilbo. I'll distract them, you free the ponies." I whispered. Bilbo looked hesitant.
"We'll be right behind you Bilbo." Kili whispered. I looked at him with a face that clearly said "yeah right." And walked out to the trolls.
"Hello!" I called out to the trolls.
"What is this?" One asked the other. There were three of them.
"Can we eat her?" Another added.
"I wouldn't do that..." I warned.
"Why not?"
"Well... for one I am a lady. Never eat a lady. Two, I am so powerful that if you eat me you will die a painful death. And Three, I can get you better food in three days." I lied.
"Oh... what food?" One asked.
"Cow, pig, chicken, fish, and sheep." I lied.
As they exchanged looks I looked over at Bilbo. Bilbo was creeping past the horses towards one of the trolls.
"So... what are you cooking?" I asked as Bilbo was trying to get a large blade from one o the trolls.
"We're gonna cook them there ponies." he motioned to behind him.
"Oh, how will you cook them?" I asked. suddenly the troll that Bilbo was trying to get the blade from grabbed his hanky from behind him and. Blew his nose.
Most unfortunately, Bilbo was in the hanky, and was thrown on the ground, covered in troll bogies.
"Ewwwwwwww." I said.
"What are you?" One of the trolls asked.
"I'm a burglar-" "HOBBIT!" I yelled, cutting Bilbo off.
"A burglarhobbit?" The troll asked.
"Are you a burgerhobbit too?" Another asked.
"Nay, I'm a powerful... animal whisperer." I said, carefully. "Very dangerous to eat." I added.
"Can we eat the blunderhoppit?" One troll asked another.
"Um... don't eat him, he... doesn't taste good at all." I stuttered.
"She's messing with us!" One yelled. The other growled in agreement.
They looked at Bilbo, then tried to catch him. I did all I could to stop them but I only had two short daggers.
The trolls caught him. I looked around in panick, not knowing what to do.
"Anymore of you little bumblerhornets hiding where you shouldn't be?" One of the trolls asked Bilbo. Bilbo shook his head quickly.
"He's lying. Hold his toes over the fire, make him squeal-"
"NO!" I screamed.
Suddenly Kili jumped out of the bushes. "Put him down." He threatened.
"What did you say?"
"I said, PUT HIM DOWN!"
The troll threw Bilbo, who landed on top of Kili.
All the rest of the dwarves jumped out of the bushes. The fight was on.
I sliced and stabbed at the trolls' legs. I found myself fighting back to back with Fili. I felt myself getting a bit distracted by his beautiful features...
"You're face is distracting me." I accidentally said out loud.
"Oh, sorry. How about I just get rid of it?" He said sarcastically.
"I didn't mean it like that. You're just very..." I trailed off, as I sliced the knee of one of the trolls.
"Very...? What? What am I very?" He asked. "Handsome." I said quietly, blushing.
He chuckled. We kept on fighting, and then I heard a yell. We all turned around and the trolls had Bilbo.
"Put down your arms, or we'll rip his off." The trolls said. I threw my daggers to the ground immediately.
The dwarves stared for a moment, pondering. Then Thorin threw down his weapon. The dwarves did the same.
-------------------------------------------
We were all in burlap sacks. I was beside Fili.
"Primlon..." he whispered.
"Yeah?"
"I need to tell you something."
"I need to tell you something too."
"If we die... I want you to know that..." Fili stared into my eyes.
"I fancy you..." He said, my heart fluttered. "Actually that's a lie..."
I felt my heart drop.
"I don't fancy you Primlon. I love you."
Fili whispered.
"I... I..." I stuttered. Fili looked at me.
"I love you too. In fact, that is what I had to tell you." I smiled at him.
"Awwwwww such a cute moment. BUT IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW, WE ARE ABOUT TO GET EATEN BY TROLLS!" Kili whispered very loudly, interrupting our moment. I sighed loudly.
"Dawn is coming, and I don't fancy being turned to stone." I tuned in just in time to hear one of the trolls say that.
'Stall... we need to stall.' I thought to myself. Apparently Bilblo got the same idea because he got up and started talking. (Still in his burlap sack.)
I looked over at Fili, who had been staring at me. "If we get out of this, you better not back out." I whispered. He smiled. "I wouldn't dream of it."
"What do you know about cooking dwarves?" The troll, who was cooking, asked Bilbo, as I got up.
"Well you have to..." Bilbo started.
"Skin them first!" I exclaimed. Standing beside Bilbo. All the dwarves yelled at me except for Thorin.
"Get me a knife." The troll said.
"I've eaten plenty of dwarves raw. These two weasels are trying to trick us!" The other exclaimed.
"In fact, a little raw dwarf would be fine." He picked up Bombur. "A nice big juicy one..."
"Not that one!" Bilbo cried. "He's got worms!" I added. "In his tubes!" Bilbo called. The troll threw him down in disgust.
"If fact they all do." I added. "I really wouldn't risk it. Infected with parasites." Bilbo added.
The dwarves started protesting. "You've got parasites!" I heard Kili's voice, loud and clear.
I turned around and looked at Thorin. He got the message, and kicked the dwarves. There was a pause.
"I've got parasites as big as my arms!" One of them yelled. "I have huge parasites!" Kili yelled.
Suddenly Gandalf stepped onto a rock behind the trolls.
"Dawn shall take you!" He yelled.
"Who's that?"
"No idea."
"Can we eat him too?"
Gandalf split the rock in two and sunlight shone onto the gruesome creatures.
They turned to stone.
I quickly got out of my bag, and went to help Fili out of his.
"Primlon. That was great! You saved us." He praised.
"Bilbo did most of it." I mumbled.
I stood up and brushed dirt off of myself. He placed his fingertips under my chin and lifted it up.
"You... are so beautiful..." he whispered.
"Okay, break it up lovebirds!" Kili called. "We are going into a troll cave now." I rolled my eyes. Fili chuckled.
We walked into the troll cave. I came to beside Thorin, as Fili joined his brother. Thorin was looking at the swords.
I picked one out. Elvish made, light, sharp, made by... The High-elves! Fancy. I asked Thorin if I could take it with me. He nodded.
I couldn't get the belt tight enough. I walked out of the cave, struggling with it. "Need some assistance?" Fili came up behind me. "Just a bit." I replied, laughing.
He put his arms around me, and tied it so it stayed on my hips. His touch sent tingles through my body. "There." He whispered in my ear.
We heard something coming. "Every goddamn time..." I muttered.
"THIEVES! MURDER!" A voice cried. A small man, dressed in brown, came into view. Riding on a sled pulled by rabbits. Tulip went to see them. (A/N Yes the rabbit is still here.)
"Radagast." Gandalf greeted him. "Radagast the brown."
They talked quietly in deep conversation. I liked the look of Radagast. He seemed like a nice funny old wizard.
I turned back to Fili. We stood for a while and just chatted. Then the question I was dreading came up. "What happened to your parents?" he asked.
I didn't want to talk about it. "Smaug." I said shortly.
"You don't seem that sad."
"Are. You. Kidding. Me?"
"No."
"I also lost my grandmother! I lost everything!"
"Then why did you go live in a forest? Why didn't you live with anyone else? Why didn't you get a job?"
"BECAUSE I WAS ALONE! OKAY?! NOBODY WANTED ME SO I LIVED IN A FOREST! I MAKE MONEY BY SELLING WOODEN FIGURES! GOT IT?" I yelled, completely losing my temper. Everyone was staring at me.
"GO BACK TO YOUR OWN LIVES!" I called. They all turned back around.
"Well someone is feisty." I grabbed Fili by the collar, and pulled back my fist. He shut his eyes, bracing for impact of my fist on his face.
Instead I leaned in and kissed him. I pulled away and he looked shocked. "Well... I wasn't expecting that." he said.
I turned away. "Hey, Primlon?" He called. I turned around. "Fili, if you-" I was cut off as he kissed me.
I melted into the kiss as our lips moved together. Fili pulled me closer, so there was no space between us.
I ran my fingers through his hair, he had one hand on my lower back, and one hand on the back of my head.
Suddenly, we both became aware of cheering from behind us. We broke apart, breathing heavily. He grabbed my waist. "She's mine. Sorry." he yelled.
We all laughed.
The dwarves went back to their own business and I turned back to Fili. "You... are quite handsome..." I said to him.
"And you are my beauty." he kissed me once more. I rested my head in his chest, he put his arms around me.
"I love you Primlon." He whispered in my ear.
"I love you too Fili."
