after the police had managed to remove charles everyone was rather shook up nora and maggie were in the kitchen with the door closed talking martin was looking out of the window rachel was once more sat on sebastian's knee.

" what did aunt maggie see in him" skylar asked sebastian saw martin look at skylar then back out of the window.

" she was young when they met" lily said

"  its hard to believe someone as lovely as her would marry someone like him" skylar said

" like your grandma said she was young and love can cloud your judgement " sj said

" i think she has been a saint to put up with him" martin said

then maggie and nora came out of the kitchen it was clear maggie had been crying sebastian shifted in his seat so rachel got off his knee and he went over to her.

" mom" he said

"im ok" she said smiling st himmbut he could see the pain in her eyes he hugged her and she hugged him tightly back.

" nothing a good hug from my son cant make better" she said

" maggie" martin said but she didnt look at him.

" i hope you guys dont mind but its been a taxing day im going to go have a bath and an early  night" maggie said

" ok love" lily said

" come here sweetheart" sj said and maggie gave her dad a kiss goodnight before ending upstairs.

rachel moved towards sebastian and cuddled him as he stoid watching his mom walking up the stairs.

" i best be going" martin said

" you can stay if you want" lily said

" n i best get back to my hotel but thank you for the offer and thank you for inviting me " martin said

" your welcome martin your always welcome here" sj said

" thank you good night everyone and rachel it was lovrly to meet you":martin said

" you too" rachel said as martin headed to the front door.

" uncle martin " sebastian called aftsr him.

" i wont be long" sebastian said kissing rachel quickly before running after hus uncle.

" uncle martin" sebastian called out martin was already at his car but stopped and looked at him.

" you ok seb" martin asked

" yeah but i want to know whats going on with my mom" sebastian said

" your dad us been an idiot thats whats going on" martin said

" im not talking about my dad im talking about you and my mom all my life i have seen things the way you look at her the way she looks at you uncle martin tell me what's going on" sebastian said

" its nothing" martin said

" im not stupid dont fob me off" sebastian said

" look its not the time or the place" martin said

" just tell me i wont be mad do you love her are you in love with my mom" sebastian asked martin looked at the ground a pained expression on his face.

" yes" martin said

" and she knows " sebastian said

" yes" martin said

" does she love you" sebastian asked

" i think so" Martin said

" how long have you loved her" sebastian asked

" since i first set eyes on her but seb it doesnt matter whether they get divorced doesnt change the dact she married my twin brother we will never be together will we" martin said before opening his car door.

" but..." sebastian started to say.

" leave it seb its fir the best" martin said before getting into his car and sebastian stood there and watched martin drive away.

as he stood there he felt arms wrap around him he turned and pulled rachel to him they stood on the driveway cuddling in silence for a few minutes.

" i have to be getting home " rachel said

" i wish you could stay" he said

" me too" rachel said

" shall we meet at my dorm tomorrow " sebastian asked

" sounds good...seb are you crying" rachel said before wiping a tear from his cheek.

" can i tell you something but you cant tell anybody " sebastian said

" seb you know you can tell me anything " rachel said looking at him.

" uncle martin is in love with my mom" sebastian said

" i thought i saw sparks between them " rachel said

" its just i cant help but think hiw different thing woukd be if she had married him you knkw she would be happy " sebastian said

" but she wouldnt have had you for all your dads faults he did good making you" rachel said

" its just from my earliest memories  i can remember picking up on something between them" sebastian said

" i dont know what to say" rachel said

" but what if he was who she was meant to be with rach but like uncle martin said divorced or not she was married to his own twin brother so how can they be together " sebastian said

" its so sad your mom is lovely she deserves to be happy " rachel said

" yes she does" sebastian said

" i best go otherwise my dads will kick off when i get home but if you want to talk call me ok" rachel said thry had a goidnight kiss and once rachel had left sebastian headed into the house.

" she really is a nice girl " lily said smiling warmly at him.

" seb hsve you been crying" sj asked

" its nothing" sebastian said

" skylar why dont you help your mom and grandma in the kitchen" sj said skykar quickly left the room lezving sebastian and sj alone.

" so is this about martin " sj asked

" you know " sebastian gasped

" ofcourse i know seb i know my daughter " sj said

" how long have you known " sebastian asked

" i think im some way i knew from the beginging " sj said

" why did she Marry him" sebastian asked

" that is a good question its one i have asked myself a lot over the years but for an answer you will have to ask her" sj said

" should i" sebastian asked not wanting to upset her.

" yes i think her biggest fear now is that you might think ill of her if she knew you knew she might feel better" sj said

sebastian nodded and headed up the stairs to his moms room he was about to knock when he heard her crying he pushed the door open and found her sat on her bed sobbing.

" mom" sebastian said

" oh im ok" she said wiping her face.

sebastian walked into the rokm shut the door and went over and sat next to her pulling her into a cuddle.

" im sorty seb im supposed to be strong for you not the other way around" she said

" dont be sorry never be sorry your the best mom ever " he said she clung to him.

" mom" sebastian said after a minute.

" yes" she said still sniffling.

" what are you crying about dad showing up or seeing uncle martin " sebastian said maggie moved away from him and looked at him.

" you know " she gasped.

" yes" sebastian said

" oh no this cant be happening" she said getting worked up.

" mom its ok i get it all my life i have wished he was my dad instead so if you have wished he was your husband i can understand it i mean you and he make more sense than you and dad" sebastian said

" so you dont hate me" she asked.

" mom i could never hate you  but i do tbink you owe me the thruth" sebastian said calmly.

a moment later his mom nodded....
