06 - Movie Night
Third Person POV:
It's a warm Friday afternoon. Around five o'clock in the evening. The Sun shone vividly over Adventure Bay. The season of Summer is here. Friday is almost the weekend, and also movie night for Ryder and the six pups. Each of them got their own turn to watch whatever they wanted to.
Today is Rubble's turn to pick and choose what to watch. It's obvious what they were going to watch: Apollo The Super-Pup. It's the same day that the brand new premiere of the Apollo movie would release. Along with a few brand new episodes. Everything the pups would watch would last a good portion into the night. But the pups will watch it later on together.
Rubble was in town at Katie's Pet Parlor, taking a warm, bubbly bath, Zuma and Rocky were playing with a ball at the beach, and Chase was inside the Lookout sitting with Ryder, who was playing cards with Robo-Dog.
Skye, however, was sorting things inside of her pup house. The light-brown Cockapoo pondered on where her pink, tender shower cap could have been.
"Hmm...I see a blown-out beach ball. We can blow it up to play at the beach on breaks. It'll be fun when we aren't on missions..." she tossed away the so-called ball which was flat as a pancake.
She then saw a bright, crimson-red chew toy. The one she cherished better than the rest. "So that's where it's been! Right there all along!" Skye eyed it before putting it neatly to the empty corner of the pup house.
The small Cockapoo glanced down at a scrapbook filled with enjoyable-filled pictures. They weren't pictures of just anything.
All were pictures of the PAW Patrol. Mostly, the pictures were just of Chase. There was one picture that caught Skye's eye. She stood there staring at it with her undivided attention. It's an extraordinary picture! The picture captured Chase and Skye. She had a rather big crush on the German Shepherd for a long while.
She's just too embarrassed to tell anybody about it.
"Ever since that one day I saw him, he pulled the strings of my heart. And it remains like that. I find him most appealing, serious, and charming. He's most mature and the truth breaks out...He'd never love such a small pup like...Me." Skye sighed in first a dreamy-like voice but turned into a vague-like sigh, "I'm small and just...Worthless. He's too perfect...And absolute. He needs a better pup. Some pup that's better than me. I need to close this book! I need to concentrate."
She slammed the book shut and arranged the chew toy on top of it.
"Chase..." Skye whispered in a lovey-dovey voice. Such a way to get him off of her mind.
"I need to take a load off of my mind about Chase. But I can't. I want to tell him one day, but he'll just reject me. I know it! It reminds me of a dream I had once." she frowned at the memory.

The sandy beach was filled with the sounds of laughter and the small, relaxing breeze, which made the waves of the bay crash against each other.
Two pups, a German Shepherd and a Cockapoo were right next to each other, on a fine break, with no one to bother them. Chase flashed a smile to Skye, making a spark come to her brain. A spark that told her to concede her feelings to the pup beside her.
"C-Chase? Can I tell you something? It's important. At least, I feel like it is." Skye's voice cracked.
"What is it, Skye?" Chase stared into Skye's appealing, magenta eyes.
"I have a confession to make...Ever since we met, I felt something different for you. A feeling that I never actually felt for anyone else, Chase. The expression is...That...I l-love you. More than just a friend. A lover! I've been holding it in for so long. The question is...Do you love me?" the Cockapoo closed her eyes waiting for an exception, or maybe a rejection.
Chase's eyes immediately blinked in vast unsettlement.
"Skye...I'd hate to break it to you...But the truth is...That...I don't love you like that. I just don't feel the same about us two...Being together as a couple. I only love you as just a friend." he sighed.
Skye started to cry right there onto the grainy, tan-colored sand of the seashore as soon as she heard Chase's words.
"Nobody will ever love me," Skye whispered to herself with a tear rolling down her cheek.

"That was a very horrifying dream. And I'll never forget about it. Maybe that's how he feels about me in real life. He doesn't love me just like that. And he never will!" a tear rolled down the Cockapoo's cheek, "And I'm afraid this dream will actually come true."
She stared off into space.
"But I need to be determined." Skye said, determined, "Even if I'm not sure..."
"—PAW Patrol, to the Lookout!" Ryder called through Skye's pup tag, interrupting her thoughts.
Skye ran out of her pup house to meet five pups running in the same direction as her: To the Lookout. They were sided next to each other but exchanged worried glances for Marshall, who tumbled inside of the Lookout bouncing on top of a colorful beach ball.
"Marshall! Be careful!" the pups worried, with a giant eye-roll from Chase.
"It's okay, pups! Don't worry about me! I'll be fine—WOAHHHHHHHHH!" Marshall tripped into the elevator. All the other pups knocked down like they were bowling pins.
"And that's all the pups knocked down! I guess that's a point for me!" Marshall joked as he got up.
The other pups broke out laughing, except for the one German Shepherd, who refused to laugh at the joke."Haha! Good one, Marshall!" Rubble chuckled. The elevator doors then shut and started to progress up to the top of the Lookout Tower: the control room. The pups changed into their gear and lined up properly.
As soon as the elevator was at the top and the doors opened, the pups jumped out with Chase being first. The six lined up into formation as Chase glanced at each of them before saying anything.
"PAW Patrol, ready for action, Ryder sir!" Chase put on a confident smile for everyone, but a scowl for the Dalmatian. Marshall, however, stared at Chase with an enraged look on his face but quickly hid it.
"Thank you for coming very quickly, pups! Corny and Emma over at Farmer Al and Yumi's farm escaped and ran away! According to Farmer Al, they broke the fence on the way. The two are speedy runners, and they both can be hard to find." Ryder modeled on the large screen.
"Oh no!" Rubble gasped.
"That's right. We must find them, even if it will be a little hard. That's why I need Skye. You'll fly over the entire farm to see where Corny and Emma are headed to." Ryder turned to Skye.
"Ruff! This pup's gonna fly!" Skye energetically did a three hundred sixty degree flip without a single mistake.
"Great. And I'll need you, Chase. With your spy gear, you can use your goggles to see where exactly Corny and Emma went. And your spy drone for an extra set of 'eyes'."
"Spy Chase is on the case!" Chase boldly stood up. "And lastly, I'll need you, Rocky. You'll use your tools to repair the broken fence." Ryder clicked onto his pup pad.
"Green means go!" Rocky recited his usual catchphrase.
"Alright! PAW Patrol is on a roll!" Ryder ran towards the pole. The three pups that were chosen for the mission slid down the slide. And the mission was soon to begin.

"Thank you so much, Ryder and the PAW Patrol! For fixing my fence and finding Corny and Emma!" Farmer Al graciously thanked the four. Ryder and the three pups that were chosen on the mission.
"You're welcome, Farmer Al. Whenever two pigs go missing, just yelp for help!" Ryder said his usual catchphrase.
Rocky continued to make final adjustments to the fence to make it a little stronger than last time so there wouldn't be another runaway pig issue. Ryder assisted Rocky through the process. Chase and Skye were left alone in silence.
"So...Are you excited for tonight, Chase? It's movie night." Skye breaks the awkward silence.
"Yeah...I am. Speaking of the movie, it's starting to get a little dark." Chase noticed the sky with the Sun that went down a little bit.
"Yeah. Do you want to watch the sunset while Ryder and Rocky are busy?"
"Okay. Let's look." Chase looked up to the multiple-colored sky.
"The sunset actually looks quite beautiful tonight, don't you think?" Skye admired the magnificent sunset.
"Yeah, the sunset is beautiful, Skye, but not as beautiful as—"
"—Chase! Skye! It's time to go back home to the Lookout. It's getting dark meaning that it's almost time for movie night." Ryder called out to Chase and Skye as he hopped onto his ATV.
"Okay...We're coming." Skye wandered back to her copter. She's interested to know what Chase would say.
"As beautiful as...As beautiful as what? Could it be me? No way it couldn't! have been me!" Skye started her copter as she went up to the air.
*****
Chase, however, went to his police truck.
"I could've told Skye, then. Over the sunset...But I guess not. I just need to tell her my feelings one day. But the question is...When?" Chase mumbled to himself.
"Bye, Ryder, Chase, Skye, and Rocky! Have a good night!" Farmer Al waved as the PAW Patrol drove away to their destination: the Lookout Tower.
As soon as they got back within about fifteen minutes, the other pups, a Bulldog, Dalmatian, and a Chocolate Labrador were already inside of the Lookout waiting for the rest so they could start their movie night. It is now dark outside and the bright stars twinkled nice and bright.
"Can we start the movie now?" Marshall asked as he picked up a liver treat to eat.
"Yeah. Can we start?" Rubble gathered a few comfy pillows to sit on.
"Sure, we can. It's dark outside. Get comfortable, pups. I'll turn on the TV." Ryder grabbed the remote control to turn on the TV to find the all-new Apollo The Super-Pup movie.
In the meantime, the pups just got all the pillows they could capture for themselves. Rubble, of course, managed to get the most pillows to make a whole pile. Marshall got almost the same amount as him leaving the other pups with just one pillow.
Chase adjusted his pillow right next to Skye's pink flower pillow. When everyone was situated, Ryder dimmed the lights and started the film. There is warm, buttery popcorn and pup treats for them to snack on.
Rubble and Marshall were most engaged in the movie since they loved Apollo The Super-Pup the most, especially Rubble. The other four pups like Apollo The Super-Pup, but had their other interests.
"I feel a little cold, Chase. Can I sit right next to you? Right on your pillow?" Skye whispered to Chase. It's only five minutes into the movie.
"Sure thing, Skye. There's plenty of room on my pillow." Chase tried to hide the small blush that appeared on his face.
"Okay." Skye transitioned from her pillow to Chase's pillow.
Overall, Skye wasn't truly cold. She just wanted to be closer to the German Shepherd. She cherished everything about him.
I will never stop loving you, Skye, Chase thought to himself in his head so nobody else would hear it, If only I could tell you how I feel...I need the confidence to do it...

An hour into the movie, Zuma, and Rocky were already asleep. Marshall and Rubble were still awake, despite them being tired. Chase was awake...But Skye wasn't. She fell asleep onto Chase, which made a ruby-red blush appear on his face.
Wow. She unexpectedly fell asleep on me. Her fur is fluffy and warm, Chase thought to himself.
He looked next to him to see Rubble and Marshall already dozing off. They were exhausted from staring at the blinding screen of the TV.
"I guess you're the only one awake, now, Chase. Do you need a blanket? I can get you one." Ryder got up.
"I guess I am the only one up. And I do feel kind of cold. Can I get a blanket, Ryder sir? One that will fit two?" Chase gestured to the sleeping Cockapoo, pup.
"She fell asleep on you. That's cute! I'll get you a blanket." Ryder grabbed a neatly folded plush blanket, "Here you go."
"Thank you, Ryder, sir." Chase spread out most of the blanket onto Skye so she would be warm, "Goodnight!"
"Goodnight, Chase. Have a good sleep." Ryder turned off the TV and pushed away from the eaten snacks.
"Goodnight, Skye," Chase whispered to Skye.
