A/N: this is one of my 900 followers specials! I want to thank you all for following me. I didn't think I would make it this far at all after a year and a half. I'm so happy! Now if you're wondering where I got this idea from, well, I was asking my mom if I should be mad because everyone is saying the new episode is racist. She agrees it isn't but I shouldn't be mad. She then used her example of the Twilight saga of Edward is with Bella and Thorax is with Flurry Heart. So then this came up! ^^ I hope you all will enjoy the small romance between these two and again thank you for 900 followers! This is was a dream to me 😋

Rampage ran through the Crystal empire. There had been many things this kingdom had face that was very deadly. A horrible unicorn for a king, a winter wasteland, and now close to having an army of true evil changelings, all from the sight of one being spotted. The crystal ponies could not handle anymore terrifying eras throughout their history, so their most number one thought was to run and hide until they were saved. They only looked upon their new rulers now, princess Mi Amore Cadenza and prince Shining Armor.
Ever since their encounter with the evil king that once ruled the land, they weren't taking anymore chances to become depress, scared all the time, and most of all, slaves. Nor were Shining Armor or Cadence, especially after their wedding in Canterlot.
An army of changelings attacked, making their wedding a disaster after the queen, Chrysalis, had trapped the princess and hypnotized the stallion from the love he upon Cadence. They couldn't face the terrible danger they could be in if the crystal ponies said they spotted a beast like a changeling.
Normally this wasn't too much of an issue, but ever since their baby, Flurry Heart's Crystalling, the gemstone kingdom shower the lands of Equestria, mostly itself, with more love than ever. They assume they were after the baby Alicorn.
Seems that was a mistake.
Princess Twilight Sparkle arrived with her student, Starlight Glimmer, and number one assistance, Spike. He was also known as 'the brave and glorious' to the crystal ponies after saving the empire twice. As they arrived, Cadence, Shining Armor, and Sunburst give the strange news for why everypony hid, and why so many guards were around. Though it seemed they were getting out of hang.
Spike was asked to let the guards follow his orders as they searched off the empire. Once he was alone and was falling for his death, up became the changeling, saving him. After questioning his actions, the changeling, Thorax, explained how he wanted to share friendship and love, not take it away. Though he knew the crystal ponies would never accept him.
So after forming a plan with the dragon, Thorax turned into the form of a crystal pony, hiding his identity, until he got too close to the baby Alicorn and felt the love escaping her. Her pure heart revealed his disguise.
So then everypony panicked and was on guard, until Spike stood up for the creature, telling them all he was a friend, no foe. This didn't seem real to the ponies until Spike defended him, using himself as an example.
Thorax couldn't believe this when Spike stood up for him. He was heartbroken the first time when Spike didn't even once mention his intention of finding the empire. He felt more of a monster than ever after the guards were after him. He couldn't imagine the baby even wanting to look at him at all.
Though as he watched his new dragon friend sing away his heart, knowing he'll lose the respect the empire has given the baby dragon, he saw those faces from the ponies. Still were unsure and on guard. That was until the princess of friendship walked to the baby dragon with her soft voice.
"Spike," said Twilight. "I'm so proud of you."
The baby dragon perked his ears back amazed and asked with a smile, "You are?"
Twilight then wrapped her arm around the dragon pulling him close for a hug. "Of course!" She chirped. "You're a celebrity hero to the Crystal empire, and you just risked all of it for a friend. I can't imagine anything more brave than that."
She then turned to the guards, her brother, and to her old foalsitter to say, "As the princess of friendship, I try to set an example for all of Equestria. But today, it was Spike who taught me that a new friend can come from anywhere. I guess everypony still has things to learn about friendship, even me!" Then the purple Alicorn princess turned around still smiling as she looked upon the changeling, for he stared a bit puzzled at this princess. "And if Spike says that Thorax is his friend, then he's my friend too."
Then she let out her hoof to the black creature still with a smile. Thorax couldn't believe this. The princess of friendship wants to be his friend? All because of Spike, now he has good on his side. He thought this day would never come after how the changeling was raised to be. Though he was different from all the rest, and the queen may have wanted evil things to happen instead, Thorax was proud to see where he is today.
Feeling the need to cry, he held it in, and then reached his hole hoof to her with a shake. "T-Thank you." He said trying his best to sound not so shaky for his emotions were getting the best of him.
After the shake, he wiped his eyes to be rid of the tears, and was amazed as Cadence and Shining Armor approached to the three. This time, they had no angry glances of a mob at any sort, only smiles. "On behalf of the Crystal empire," said Cadence with her tone sounding proud of what today had. "I would like to expend my hoof in friendship, and I'm sure all my subjects are eager to do the same."
This was indeed Thorax's best day ever.
Then the guards clapped their hooves, cheering for the new era of today, the day one changeling was different and was willing to give friendship by sharing it. No more taking from this one. All this excitement wanted to make the changeling cry even more in joy.
Thorax then greeted the princess of love with a smile, trying his best to not let a tear fall. Instead of a hoof shake, Cadence ignited her horn's magic to levitate her young foal and brought the baby close to her and the changeling. As Thorax kept control of his hunger, he looked down at Flurry Heart. Never once had he seen anything more beautiful and adorable. This baby was like a God, indeed a princess worthy to be in the throne. Her giggled towards him melted him, giving him the thudding against his chest as he looked down at her. Then suddenly, his vision changed as he kept his eyes upon the Alicorn baby.
Then a voice spoke to him as he saw these images of Flurry Heart, older, more laughing than ever, and even more beautiful. He even saw himself always by her side.
"It's like..... gravity," he heard his voice in his mind as he saw the images. "... Your her whole center ship.... It's not the earth holding you here anymore, she does.... You become whatever she needs you to be.... whether that's a protector, or a lover, a friend, or brother..."
Before Thorax knew it, he felt something inside of him, once that voice said those final words, and another look at Flurry Heart.
"You are her best friend..."
He felt he was gonna fall, shocked to the truth inside of him of what just happened. Luckily he snapped back when he remember where he was, and saw Shining Armor finally speak to him calm fully.
"Welcome to the Crystal empire Thorax." He said. "I'm sorry we didn't take the time to get to know you. Maybe we can change that now."
Thorax couldn't hold in his exciting cheer anymore. "That would be so amazing! I wanna know all about friendship, and maybe I can all that knowledge back to the changeling kingdom. If my kind learns how to make love one another, maybe they won't have to take it from others!"
Then in the crowd, a guard pumped his hoof in the air, cheering for the baby dragon and changeling. Before they knew it, the two brave ones today were lifted in the air, being cheered for what they have accomplished today.
Spike had never Thorax so happy before, though he's never seen a changeling like this. Thorax finally felt he was home.
Though from another kingdom was very unpleased of the situation. Seeing from her magic of green, to find one of her minions being one of the good ones become friends with her enemies, really boiled her with hatred. Normally, queen Chrysalis would demand some of her strongest minions to find this one oddball to take his life away. But there was something that caught her attention.
She laughed hysterically and evilly as she saw the sight of Thorax through her magic. "Oh yes young one." She said to herself. "Become a friend to those pathetic little ponies. For you are gonna be giving your queen something precious one day."
After that crowd lifted Spike and Thorax in the air for their victory, Chrysalis watched as her once-before minion walked to the baby Alicorn once again, greeting her, making her coo and giggle.
Then become her evil plan...
"Looks like you were right after all." Starlight said, catching the purple alicorn's attention.
"About what?" Asked Twilight.
"Friendship lessons can happen anywhere."
