The next complete week was a blur for me. Mom and dad were so happy. Rehaan's mom literally cried with joy when she came to know about our decision.

Aksha was super happy.. She kept on teasing me about the crush i had on Rehaan back then and how lucky i am to actually marry him. Jai as usual faked hos true love for me and how i broke his heart, such a flirt i tell you.

Few were shocked, few were overwhelmed... When the news about my marriage reached them. But at the end of the day all that matters is my happiness. And am i happy..? Hellyes! Idontcarehehadsomeone inhislifebackthen... Butfromnowoniwillbetheone.

Rehaan's parents came over and set a date for our engagement. 20th of March. 6 more days to go. I was i my room my ears close to the door and listening to their conversation. After the date was decided Rehaan's mom came into my room which was expected from my spy instincts. I just acted as if i am rearranging my book self.

"Kriti...." Mom came in with aunty. I said my namaste and bent to touch her feet but she stopped me and said
"your are going to become my daughter in law your place is in my heart not my feet" hugging me.
I smiled at her " So what..?! Though i am in your heart i always want blessings from my elders and touching their feet is just a token of respect"
She smiled at me and turned to my mom and said " she have grown up so well" iwonderwhatwouldshesaywhen she hearsaboutmydrunkact. my mom who was proud with her comment gave her a bright smile. My mom left us to talk later.

" Thankyou kritika you have no idea how happy i am" she said once mom left.
I just smiled at her and she continued "we have fixed your engagement 6 days later i would like if you would go and chose your engagement ring" i was about to object when she raised her hand and continued " no objections .... Its your big day and i want you to celebrate it the way you want. Rehaan would come and pick you up go and select your rings. Okay..?!" She asked. I just nodded my head. After aunty left i was super excited i called Aksha and told her everything, being my best friend which she is .... We came up with our shopping plans for my engagement. There was this huge veryhuge stupid grin stuck on my face.

I had a missed call the next day from Rehaan while i was in some stupid meeting. I was literally freaking..... Took two to three deep breaths... And called him back.... Ten.... twenty... Twentyone... Twentytwo.... Yes!! Iwascountingnumberstocalmmynerves... I wonder how will get used to it.

"Hello..!" Rehaan's voice rung from other half of the receiver and an involuntary smile took place on my face.

"Hello... "My voice sounded ...shy. If Aksha had listen to that she would be laughing hard.

" hey...hi..! Auh... My mom told me we have to go for selection of rings .... So if you tell me when you are free i would come and pick you up." He said coming straight to the point.

"Hmm.... I am free after 5 my office hours end at 5 so any time after 5 is fine with me so just give me the time i will be ready."

"Okay... Then i will pick you at say 7 we would go to shopping and then may be for dinner." He said and my smile widened see he is trying my heart hummed in pure joy.

"Fine by me.." I said trying to control my excitement levels iny voice.

"Cool then... See you later. Bye..." He said and cut the phone.

I was super excited it took 1 hour for aksha and me to decide on my dress. We settled with a simple but elegant white and blue kurti top and blue leggins and simple make up which was just applying kajal to highlight to my eyes and little blush to bring color in my face. I messaged Rehaan the address from where he should pick me up. And i was done by 6:53. Okay...! There is the myth that girls cant get ready on time but hell ya ..! We girls can also be punctual. I was pacing here and there trying to manage my hair which was just getting in the way of my vision because it was hanging low.

Sharp at 7 the doorbell rung i literally ran towards the door taking deep breaths i opened the door.

"Hey....." An overly cheerful girl voice
Boomed in the empty corridor as she engulfed me in a hug. "Sorry..." She said sheepishly taking a step back from me.
" I am Anu...Anannya Savant ... I am Rehaan's sister and your to be sister in law." She said smiling " come lets go.... Rehaan is waiting for us "she said dragging me towards the lift. In the mean while i kicked the front door shouting my bye to Aksha.

Hm... And here i thought Rehaan was trying i sighed. But then sight of Rehaan in dark blue jeans cement color shirt visually lifted my mood. He looked so edible okay...! Stop checking him out i ordered my heart.

" Hey... So... Let's go" he said. Opening the passenger door for me. he started the car and we were on our way to the gold shop rehaan 's mom suggested.

"so bhabhi....you are looking very pretty." ananaya gushed. oh..!atleast someone noticed i thought. "isn't it rey ?" she asked. rehaan just eyed her and just said a hmm in a response. 'hmm' was that a response ... if it is i didnt like it. before they could notice my dissapointment i just smiled at her. we continued our journey in silence while the brother and sister had some typical eye conversation.

choosing a RING was difficult... i couldnt find the perfect one even after trying some 30 to 40 rings while my would be husband chose it in just 5 minutes. i was walking on the aisle where rings were displayed , anannya was just patiently following me which i appreciated.

" did you decide ...? " rehaan asked after he came back taking a call.

" hm..."i started but he cut me off " let me guess...! nope right..!" he said with asmug look on his face.and then walked towards the aisle and picked a ring it was simple half diamond studde ring it was real beauty i wondered how i missed that one."try this he said giving it to me.

"wow...! bhabhi this is so pretty " annanya said and smile on my face was enough to tell how much that ring suited me like its been just made for me. or was it because just rehaan chose it for me.

we next hit opera for dinner and annanya left excusing herself that she doesnt want to be third wheel. Rehaan was not okay with that for which she gave him a disapproved look. food was so good. i was thinking on how some could make such delicious food when rehaan interrupted me..

" so we are geting engaged in 6 days."

i raised my eyes from my plate to find him starring at me .... suddenly i wanted to clear something in my head... "you are not a psychopath killer right?!" i blurtted.

rehaan looked amused for a second and begun to laugh " why would you ask that?" he said after controlling his laughter. ha... butterflies in my stomach begin to fly.

" i dont know... " i said.

" no kritika i am not a psycopath killer and i will not kill you" he said shifting into his playful voice.

" i cant believe i am really getting engaged to you..." i blurtted again. ahh... someone stich my mouth." i mean getting engaged to any one." i managed.

he just smiled and said ..." its really happening kritika.."

and thats when my heart truly registered that its really happening ....!
