Chapter 32

I woke up in the morning with an arm wrapped around my waist. For a second I panicked but then I remembered that we were all at the beach house and I was sharing a room with Carson.

Last night, I had fallen asleep outside at the fire so my guess was that Carson had carried me up to our room.

I sighed and snuggled into Carson’s chest. This was the first time we were ‘sleeping’ together and it felt nice. I liked the fact that I wasn’t waking up to an empty bed, instead I waking up in the arms of a guy that I was starting to find more and more irresistible.

After twenty minutes of just lying in Carson’s arms with my eyes closed, I shifted my body to face him and came up with an idea. With a smirk on my face, I moved his arm, dropping it from around my waist, and flipped myself over so that I was sitting on his stomach with a leg on each side of his body. I slowly leaned down and kissed his neck softly a couple of time which, in turn, got him to slowly awaken and move around a bit. My smirk grew a bit as I started to trace his wonderful abs with my right hand and started to kiss his lips.

Suddenly, Carson’s eyes popped open for a second before he closed them again and kissed me back, wrapping both of his arms around me effectively squishing my body to his. Our chests were glued together and our legs were tangled up in the blankets as we just laid there in our bed and made out for a couple of minutes.

When we were running out of breath a couple of minutes later, I pulled myself up, grinning down at Carson as he smiled up at me.

“I was feeling a little violated their Lex… I didn’t think you would be the type of girl to take advantage of a guy as he was enjoying his sleep.” Carson said, smirking up at me while rolling me off of him.

I rolled my eyes. “Well, I just couldn’t help it, my boyfriend is seriously delicious.” I stated sarcastically.

“You got that right.” Carson replied as he lent in closer and gave me another quick peck on the lips. As he pulled back he said, “You know, if you wanted to wake me up like that for the rest of this vacation, I definitely wouldn’t mind.”

“I’m sure you wouldn’t.” I replied, kissing him quickly before rolling out of the bed.

When I looked down at myself, I noticed that I wasn’t wearing my romper from yesterday’s dinner, but instead I was wearing one of Carson’s t-shirts that came down to my mid-thigh, as well as my bra and panties from yesterday. I turned back to look at Carson with an eyebrow raised and my hands on my hips in a stern matter, “How did I get changed?”

Carson’s face paled slightly as he sat up in bed and rubbed the back of his neck. “Umm… well, when I carried you up here, you were basically dead to the world and I didn’t think you wanted to sleep in your nice outfit from yesterday so I just changed you. I swear I didn’t peak at anything.” he said in a frantic state.

I kept the stern, questioning look on my face for another couple of seconds before I burst out laughing. “Oh Carson, I kind of figured that. I didn’t think you would take advantage of me and its fine. Besides, you’ve seen me without a top on so it’s not that big of a deal.” I said, waving off the subject.

As I said that, Carson visibly relaxed. “Oh okay.” he said as he got up and walked in front of me. “You have no idea how worried I was that once you noticed you would get upset. I just want you to know that I would never do anything that you didn’t want me to. I do really care about you Lex.”

I smiled up at him, reaching up on my tiptoes to give him a quick kiss. “I know you won’t take advantage of me Carson, I trust you. And by the way, I really care about you to.”

Carson smiled down at me and kissed me again. This kiss lasted a little longer than a peck as it showed all the emotions we were feeling at the time… trust, kindness, and safety, along with something else that I still couldn’t figure out just yet.

When he pulled back, I opened my eyes and smiled at him. “So, I am really hungry!” I stated.

Carson just chuckled. “Oh are you?” he asked and I nodded smiling. “Do you want me to cook you something while you change?”

I looked down and noticed I was still in his shirt. I shyly nodded. “Hehe, yeah I think my brother would have a little something to say if he found out that all I was wearing was his best friends t-shirt.” I said. “I’ll meet you downstairs in a few minutes, and make sure whatever you’re making is delicious.”

He shook his head walking to the other side of the room to put a pair of black track pants over the boxers he was currently wearing before coming back to give me a quick kiss. “Of course Cutie, and everything I make is delicious.” he said before smacking my ass quickly and walking out of our room.

I just shook my head at how cute my boyfriend was and looked at the clock on the night table, 8:49am. I shrugged. I guess it was early enough to be up, plus I wanted to know what Zach had planned on this spur of the moment vacation.

I went over to my bag to grab a new set of lingerie, a dark blue lace set, along with a pair of shorts and a semi-baggy striped green tank top before heading across the hall to get ready.

Once in the bathroom, I quickly stripped out of what I was wearing and threw on my new outfit. I also washed my face quickly, brushed my teeth and took my hair out of the braid from last night before combing through the hair once and throwing it up on a bun on top of my head.

In less than ten minutes I was walking into the kitchen to see my sexy boyfriends back putting the finishing touches on our breakfast.

“Hello again sexy.” I said, sitting down at one of the chairs at the table.

Carson looked my way quickly smiling before taking both of our omelettes out of the pan and bringing me my breakfast, kissing me again before sitting down with his breakfast beside me.

“Hey, you look great… as always.” he replied.

“Thanks.” I said smiling before looking down at my breakfast. “So, what did you make me?”

Carson just chuckled quickly. “Well it’s an omelette with cheese, bits of bacon and a bit of ham so I hope you like it.” he said before digging into his own omelette.

I rolled my eyes. “I like anything you make; you’re a really good cook.” I replied before tasting my breakfast myself. I moaned at the delicious taste that was now taking up my taste buds, ‘yup, my boyfriend definitely makes the best food.’ I thought. I turned to him and said, “This is seriously good.” while shoveling more of my breakfast into my mouth.

We ate in a comfortable silence and once we were both finished we just stayed at the table to talk for a bit.

Around nine thirty or so, Zach walked into the kitchen and headed straight for the coffee pot. He messed up his hair slightly and leaned against the counter facing us as the coffee was brewing in the pot.

“Hey Zach, good sleep?” I asked.

Zach just turned to me with a giant smirk on his face. “Yup, me and Alenna had a great sleep.”

I heard Carson choking back his laughter as I scrunched up my face. “Eew, I really didn’t need to know about your sex life this early in the morning, thank you very much.” Then I looked at him curiously. “So, you gonna tell me why we’re at this beach house now?” I asked.

Zach straightened up and looked at me nervously fidgeting with the hem of his pyjama shirt. “Umm… maybe, I just, I don’t know.” he said while blowing out a huge breath.

Okay, something was obviously bugging him.

“Zach?” I said, trying to get his attention.

“Oh, umm… well it’s just that, I may have gone to a jewelry store at the beginning of September and I may have booked us all here so that I could be with some people close to me when I, umm, asked Alenna to marry me.” he rambled out in a hushed whisper.

Then what he said registered in my mind and I jumped out of my chair with a smile on my face.

“OH MY GOD!! Zach, I can’t believe it. Are you serious? Oh god! This is so exciting, so are you gonna propose tonight?!” I asked, rambling off questions while I walked up to him and hugged him.

“Shhhhh! Alenna’s upstairs in the bathroom.” he said, smiling down at me nervously.

“But you’re serious, you’re actually gonna propose to her?” I asked him again smiling and calmed down slightly.

He smiled down at me and nodded. “Yeah, Zayn and I went to the jewellers more than a month and a half ago to get the ring.”

I stepped back slightly. “Well then, I’m happy for you. So what are you planning?” I said, as Carson stepped behind me and did that knuckle bump thing with Zach as encouragement.

“Thanks, and that’s kind of why I brought you all here. I need you and Kylie to take Alenna out around three and just get her away from this house while I get the boys and Cassidy, if she wants, to help me make some of Alenna’s favourite foods. I was planning on making a picnic on the beach for just the two of us and proposing to her during dessert.” he whispered nervously.

"Awww… that’s going to be so sweet, but just so you know, we all will be watching from the window… you do now that right?” I said teasingly.

His shoulders relaxed a great amount. “So you guys are going to help me?”

Carson and I looked at each other before looking back at Zach. “Absolutely.”

I was going to do the whole proposal thing in one chapter but I decided to split it up as it would have been a super long chapter without the split.

So you guys guessed right, Zach is going to propose !
