Heart Shaped Love - Chapter 31

Chapter 31

In the middle of a relaxing dream I started hearing voices, “Lexi, Lexi, come on baby…” and I also felt someone shaking me awake.

“It’s time to wake up Lex, we’re here.” I heard while slowly drifting into consciousness.

I slowly opened my eyes to see a pair of blazing green eyes and a hand swiping the hair away from my face. I yawned, and then smiled up at my boyfriend.

“Come on pretty boy, we have to get a room with a view.” I told him while sitting up in my seat and slightly pushing Carson out of the car.

Carson shook his head chuckling lightly while getting out of the car before turning around and helping me out of the car as well.

“And who said we were sharing a room?” Carson asked raising his eyebrows and smirking down at me.

I froze for a second, sure we had cuddled a lot and made out but we hadn’t actually slept in the same bed together before and without realizing it I had just suggested that very thing. However, when I thought about it, I didn’t really mind. I mean, we were just sleeping and cuddling – nothing else, so I didn’t really care if we shared a bed for the weekend.

“Well do you want to?” I asked him, smiling shyly.

He just rolled his eyes. “Of course silly, I just didn’t want to pressure you  and think I’m trying to take advantage of you or anything.” he said as he shrugged and went to the back of the car where Jaxon was and took out both his and my duffle bags.

When he walked back to me with the bags in one hand, he took my hand in the other and led us in the direction of the house.

“I know you won’t take advantage of me because, first of all, we’ve known each other a long time and I trust you, and second of all, my brother would kick your ass if you hurt me.” I replied smirking up at him.

He just laughed slightly. “Too right Cutie.” he said and pulled me closer to his side.

When I looked at the house in front of me, I stopped for a second and stared…. it was absolutely gorgeous. It was two stories high, there was a deck around the first level of the house and some rooms on the top floor had their own balconies and we were right on our own section of beach. The beach house was painted a light brown colour while the shingles on the roof were painted a sky blue and it looked amazing. What got me thinking though was why Zach would have booked us such a nice house; I guess I’d have to ask him about that.

Carson stopped when I did and looked back at me raising an eyebrow. “You coming?” he asked.

I shook my head out of the daze and started to walk again. “This place is beautiful, I wonder why Zach wanted to book such a nice place, and thank god it’s at least warm being that it’s the end of October.” I stated.

We opened the door to the beach house and I was personally surprised at the interior. It wasn’t anything extravagant but it was really nice for a beach house. From the entryway we could see the living room, which had two comfy looking couches and two recliners that were all situated in front of a flat screen television. We could see a part of the kitchen from here and it looked like it was styled like an old diner with a black and white checkered theme and red seats and to top it off all the floors were hard wood with multi-coloured rugs placed randomly around the floor.

Only seeing a small part of the bottom floor I already really liked it here.

Carson and I walked upstairs to the second level where the bedrooms were located. When we got upstairs there was a wide hallway with six rooms; four bedrooms and two bathrooms and they all looked identical from what you could see with the door open on each of the rooms. The first two rooms were already occupied – the first one was Kylie and Zayn’s room and they were in there unpacking while the second room had Zach and Alenna and they were a little caught up attacking each other’s mouths on the bed then concerned about what was going on around them.

While walking pass there room Carson knocked on the door loudly. “If you guys want to go at it like that feel free, but please close the door.” he said in an authoritative voice while Zach got up and slammed the door.

I was laughing slightly as Carson pulled me into the next available room; it looked really simple but cool. There was a bit of sand on the floor but other than that it was clean, the bed was a queen size and had a cute quilted comforter on it. The walls were a light red colour and there was a balcony on the far side of the room.

Carson let go of my hand while he placed our bags on the floor before we both collapsed beside each other on the bed.

He put his arm around me and pulled me to his side. “You know, you haven’t eaten anything since this morning, you want me to make you a late lunch before we go out to dinner later?” he asked me.

I turned slightly in his arms and looked up at him. “Since when did you become such a sweet guy?” I asked him teasingly.

“Hmm… I think it was about the time when the girl I really liked agreed to be my girlfriend.” he answered and it put a huge smile on my face.

“Well I think that the girl agreed to be your girlfriend because she really liked you too.” I replied smiling, before kissing him.

The kiss was the same as all our others but different at the same time. His lips tasted the same and were soft and smooth against mine but every time we kissed it felt like the first time.

After a couple of seconds we pulled apart and smiled at each other.

“Oh, and by the way, I would love a late lunch made with the courtesy of my boyfriend.” I said, giving him an answer to his earlier question.

All Carson did was kiss my nose quickly while chuckling slightly before unwrapping his arms and standing up holding out a hand for me. I grabbed his hand as he pulled me up and hugged me for a couple seconds.

“Come on Cutie, I’ll make you that lunch now.” he said while taking my hand and dragging me down the stairs towards the kitchen.

A cooler was placed in front of the fridge so Carson opened it up as I sat jumped up onto the counter and sat there.

“What do you want for lunch Cutie?”

“Can I have a turkey sandwich?” I asked him nicely.

He nodded and took out a loaf of bread and some cold cut turkey. “What do you want on it?” he asked.

“Mayo, a tiny bit of mustard, tomatoes, white cheddar, cucumbers and a bit of pepper.”

“Coming right up ma lady.” he replied in an English accent as he took out the condiments and I giggled at his horrible try at being British.

I watched a Carson prepared my sandwich like a professional and cut it into four triangles just the way I’ve always liked it.

He turned around to face me with my sandwich on a plate. “One turkey sandwich with everything you asked for made by your extremely sexy boyfriend.” he said smirking while he placed my sandwich on the counter beside me and placed one hand on each side of my thighs.

Carson leaned in and gave me a quick peck on the lips before backing up and nodding towards my sandwich. “Time to eat Cutie.” he said as I giggled.

I took my time eating my sandwich as I wanted to enjoy it. Carson always made the best food and I hoped he would be doing a lot of the cooking on this trip.

After I finished and placed my plate in the sink, I jumped down from the counter and went to lean against Carson. “So what do you want to do?” I asked him.

Before he could answer me, Zach walked into the kitchen to grab a Pepsi. “We’re going to be leaving at 5:30 for dinner. I booked reservations at a restaurant about 10 minutes into town for 5:45 so everybody better be ready.” he said.

He was about to leave the kitchen when I called him back for a second. “Hey, umm, is there some reason that we had to come up here this weekend and why you booked such a nice beach house for all of us?” I asked him in a hushed tone.

He smiled slightly. “There just might be a reason, but you’ll have to wait to find out what that is Lex.” he replied, before walking upstairs back to his room.

“So it’s four ’o’clock now, I’ll just start getting ready now.” I said and followed Carson back upstairs to our room.

As we got to our room Carson shook his head as I headed to my suitcase. “I never understood why girls take so long to get ready.” he said.

I stopped digging through my suitcase and turned to look at him. “Hmm… well maybe it’s the fact that we have to shower, dry our hair, do something with our hair, brush our teeth, do our makeup, choose our outfit and then get dressed while all guys have to do is maybe shower, brush their teeth and get dressed with the first thing they see.” I replied sarcastically before digging through my suitcase again looking for my dark blue fancy romper I bought.

When I located my romper in my suitcase and my pair of white gladiators, I took my outfit and dragged myself to the bathroom across the hall.

I threw my outfit on the ground beside the sink and took a towel out of the closet before stripping down naked and stepping into a warm shower.

I used my vanilla scented shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair and my lilac scented body wash to quickly clean the rest of my body.

Stepping out of the shower half an hour later, I used the towel to dry my body before putting my bra and panties on so I could dry my hair.

After fifteen minutes my hair was pretty well dried, so I combed through it once quickly and put it into a French braid down the back of my head. I put my romper and my sandals on, picking up my dirty clothes and walking back to my room to put on my makeup.

I opened the door to my room and I found Carson laying on the bed listening to his i-pod while bobbing his head to the beat and threw my dirty shirt at him.

He opened his eyes and turned to smirk at me. “I always knew you would be throwing your clothes at me one day.” he said confidently and I just rolled my eyes.

“Sure, sure, now go get ready because we’re leaving in like half an hour.” I said, stuffing my dirty clothes into an extra bag I brought and sticking them into my duffle before grabbing my make up bag and going to sit in front of the mirror in our room.

“I’m going, I’m going.” Carson replied as I saw him grab a random shirt and a pair of tan shorts from his bag and walk towards the door. “By the way Lex, you look absolutely beautiful.” he said smiling before leaving the room.

As I looked back into the mirror I saw that my cheeks were blushing due to Carson’s comment and I had a smile on my face.

I took out a bit of makeup from its bag and put it on – a bit of sparkly blue eye shadow, some mascara, a bit of blush and a good amount of cherry lip gloss.

By the time I was done with my makeup Carson was already walking back into our room, dressed and ready to go.

“See what I told you, girls just generally take longer to get ready because we have more stuff to do.” I said, packing up my makeup and dropping it into my duffle bag.

Carson walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, turning me around so I was facing him and our chests were pressed together. He bent his head so that his lips were next to my ear. “Without the makeup you looked beautiful, but now… Lexi, you look like an angel.”

I blushed as he pulled back slightly so that we were staring at each other with a smile on our faces and I couldn’t help it; I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought his lips down onto mine.

Now, remember me saying that every kiss felt like the first one, well I was wrong. This kiss was filled with something other than sweet, soft bliss. There was a ton of passion and feeling in this kiss. This was definitely the first time we had kissed like this – but I wasn’t complaining.

I knew why the kiss was starting to feel different but I didn’t know if I could admit it aloud… I was starting to fall for Carson. Carson – the guy that I couldn’t stand last year was now the one that I was kissing with so much passion and the one that I was on my way to falling in love with.

Carson quickly moved his tongue into my mouth while I was rambling to myself in my head and it was like a fireworks show on speed going on inside of my head.

After a minute or two, we pulled back for air and smiled at each other. “Come on, let’s go wait downstairs so we can get going to dinner.” Carson said nodding towards the door.

We both walked downstairs only to meet with the rest of our friends – I guess we were making out for a little longer than we thought.

“Where have you two been? We thought you guys were ready a while ago? And why is Carson suddenly wearing lip gloss?” Jaxon asked, raising his eyebrow at me.

I just shrugged, fighting to keep a smile off my face while Carson answered, “We lost track of time, sorry bro. Let’s go.”

Everybody just shook their heads at us chuckling silently while we all headed out the door and Carson wiped the lip gloss off of his lips. We got into the same cars that we came here in and Jaxon followed Zach to the restaurant.

When we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant ten minutes later, it looked pretty busy so it was a good thing that Zach had made us reservations. The restaurant was called ‘The Beach Hut’ but it also looked like a fancy little restaurant.

When we entered the restaurant, Zach went right up to the hostess to ask for our table. “Table for eight, under Gonzalez.”

The hostess looked at the reservations list quickly and nodded while taking out eight menus from underneath her stand. “Right this way.” she said leading us to the back of the restaurant.

We were all seated and looking at the menu when I felt a warm breath on my neck and turned to look at Carson who was really close to me. He kissed me quickly before pulling back and whispering in my ear. “Did you want to come back here tomorrow for lunch for a light lunch date then explore the city a bit?”

I nodded slightly and smiled, before kissing him again quickly and looking back at my menu.

After looking through the menu, I ended up ordering a pasta platter, where they would put three small pasta dishes; feticunni alfredo, pesto with rigatoni, and meat sauce with spaghetti on a large place along with a couple slices of cheese coated garlic bread. I was sharing this with Carson, and he was sharing his cooked meat platter with me, which included, a variety of chicken wings, two small chicken breasts, a small piece of steak with a variety of dipping sauces.

We were all just chatting and hanging out together for about thirty minutes before the food started to arrive and let me tell you… it was delicious. The pasta and sauce I had was cooked like it was made from an old Italia recipe and all the meat I had was cooked to just the right temperature and tenderness to make it mouth-watering. I couldn’t wait to come here again with Carson tomorrow to try something else because this small restaurant was definitely the best place I have ever eaten and it’s tied with Carson’s cooking for the best food I’ve ever had.

After dinner, they served us all a small piece of chocolate cake and a side of any flavour of ice cream. The chocolate cake melted in your mouth and was delicious while the ice cream was so good it tasted like it had just been made by hand in the back of the restaurant.

Once our dinner was complete, Zach surprisingly paid for the whole bill (which was surely around $200) and it kept me wondering as too what this weekend was really about.

When we arrived back at our beach house, the sun was starting to set above the water as it was around eight at night.

Instead of going into the house, Carson led me down the side of the house to the backyard beach we had and we sat on the sand to watch the sunset.

Carson sat down on the water front, opening his legs just enough so that I could sit in front of him. I sat down between his legs and leant back into his muscular chest while he wrapped his arms around my waist, leaning his head on my shoulder.

“You know, this is probably one of the most romantic things that I have ever done.” I said, speaking my mind in front of my boyfriend.

I felt Carson move his head as he kissed my cheek longingly while smiling. “I just know that I wouldn’t want to be at this beach house or in this romantic place with anybody else but you.” he said, whispering in my ear as the sunset was finishing.

After a couple seconds of just sitting there watching the stars start to appear in the night sky, I turned around and kissed Carson before getting up.

“Come on, everybody else is having a camp fire and I want to end the night with our friends.” I said, helping to pull Carson up off the sand.

He nodded, getting up and giving me one last quick kiss for the light before we headed back to our friends where we would spend the night laughing, talking and just enjoying the time at the beach house with our friends.
