Chapter 30

The next two weeks passed quickly. Carson and I hung out together a lot but I still made time for my two best friends.

The day that we had told our parents that we were together, Carson and I had actually gone back to my house after dinner to relax in the living room and finish a bit of homework. When Jaxon came home that night, my mom caught him first thing to ask him about why he never mentioned any girlfriend.

Flashback

Carson and I were sitting on the couch finishing a bit of homework when Jaxon walked through the door. Before he could even say ‘hello’, my mom came skipping into the living room to question Jaxon about where he had been.

“And where were you?” my mom asked him.

Jaxon’s posture stiffened slightly when he looked towards mom. “Just out with the guys.” he replied

My mom raised an eyebrow. “Oh really, not out with a secret girlfriend or anything?” she asked smirking and crossing her arms across her chest.

Jaxon’s eyes bulged slightly and his head whipped towards Carson and I, who were watching silently from the couch trying not to laugh. “What did you guys tell her?” Jaxon asked.

“Oh nothing…” Carson answered, “just that you are currently in a relationship with a really sweet girl and you seem to really like her.”

That was the moment when my giggles escaped and I started laughing and so did Carson, however, when Jaxon scowled at both of us we tried, unsuccessfully might I add, to cover our laughs with a fake cough.

Jaxon dropped his scowl and turned to our mom sighing. “Fine,” he mumbled, “I was out with my girlfriend.”

A huge smile broke out on my mom’s face as she went up to Jaxon and hugged him. “That’s really great Jaxon. Like I told Lexi, I’m happy that you’re happy. Now… when do I get to meet said mystery girlfriend?” she asked.

Jaxon smiled shaking his head back and forth. “I’ll ask her to come over sometime this week so you can meet her… oh, and by the way, her name’s Cassidy.”

I was happy that Jaxon had confessed to having a girlfriend to our mom, and when Cassidy came over for dinner later that week my mom really seemed to like her.

It was now Friday morning and we were all (me, Carson, Alenna, Zach, Jaxon, Cassidy, Zayn, and Kylie) leaving for the beach house this afternoon. We all got today and Monday off of school so that our trip could be lengthened and we could have more fun. I still didn’t understand why we were going to the beach at the end of October but I wasn’t complaining - a vacation was a vacation.

I was in my room packing because I had stupidly left the packing until the last minute. Packing was always a drag and I could never figure out what to bring. Instead of neatly packing a bunch of outfits, I just grabbed a couple pairs of jeans, some shorts, a bunch of tops, some hoodies, undies, bras, and two sun dresses in case we went out for dinner somewhere. Even though I didn’t think I’d need it, I also packed my bathing suit. After throwing in my makeup, straightener and a bunch of other toiletries, I was packed and ready in less than thirty minutes.

Since some of us didn’t have our licenses we had decided on the seating arrangements prior to today. Zach was driving Alenna’s jeep with Alenna, Zayn and Kylie as passengers while Jaxon was driving Cassidy, Carson and I. The two cars were leaving separately and we were just meeting them at the beach house later today.

I found out recently that the beach house was approximately three hours away, which meant a three hour car ride with my boyfriend, my brother, and my brother’s girlfriend – oh joy!

A little before noon, Jaxon left to pick up Cassidy and Carson came over for lunch. My mom had made macaroni and cheese for lunch and we both had huge helpings.

When Jaxon returned with Cassidy in the passenger seat, Carson and I were finished our lunch and ready to leave.

When I went to grab my duffle bag, Carson came behind me and grabbed it from me. “Ah ah ah. Boyfriend duties include carrying the ladies bags, so I’ll bring your bags to the car while you say goodbye to your mom.” Carson said giving me a quick peck on the lips before heading out the door.

I turned around and hugged my mom goodbye. “Bye mom, we’ll be back Monday night so have with a house to yourself… but not too much fun.” I said jokingly and my mom chuckled.

“You don’t have to worry about that, however, if you and Carson decide to do anything on this trip please be careful; I don’t want any grandkids yet.” she said seriously and my face turned beat read.

“MOM!” I said. “It’s too soon for that so don’t worry about it, I’m still a virgin and don’t talk about that again please.” I finished, begging my mom to shut her mouth.

She just laughed at me and shooed me away and out the door with a goodbye.

I shook my head while walking to Jaxon’s car. I hadn’t even thought about having sex with Carson. Sure I liked him, he liked me and we were in a relationship but we had only really been dating for two and a half weeks, even if we had confessed our feelings about a month ago. Me and him had made out a couple of times but that’s it. I didn’t intend to be losing it until I was ready and right now, I wasn’t.

When I got to the car, Carson was waiting for me, holding the back door open so I could climb in first. “Hey, you okay?” Carson asked, kissing me on the forehead before helping me into the car.

When we were both seated in the car I leaned into my boyfriend’s side and sighed. “Yea, I’m good.”

Jaxon climbed into the car again, along with Cassidy and we were officially headed for a long weekend vacation.

Along the way, Cassidy and Jaxon were talking/flirting in the front seats while I was leaning on Carson in the back trying to relax.

“Hey, Lexi, you want something to eat?” Carson asked, holding out a bag of salt and vinegar chips and a kit-kat chocolate bar for me to choose from.

I took the chocolate bar and basically inhaled it in less than a minute.

“Woah, easy girl… you okay?” he asked me after I finished the chocolate.

I nodded leaning my head into the crook of his neck. Carson wrapped his arm around my body and started rubbing up and down my arm. “Yea, I’m just a little tired; somebody kept me up a little late last night.” I said, turning my head up to look at him and scowling slightly.

He chuckled slightly. Last night Carson and I had been watching a movie at my house that didn’t end until eleven and even after he left and I was in bed, we were still texting each other back and forth for the next two and a half hours. By the time I had gotten to bed it was around two in the morning, which was not a good thing considering I had to wake up at eight to get ready and pack.

Carson took off his hoodie, placing it in his lap and directed my head downwards until I was lying with my head on his lap.

I looked up at him smiling. “Why don’t you just sleep for a couple hours and I’ll wake you when we’re there.” Carson suggested.

I nodded slightly, closing my eyes and cuddling up to him a bit more to get comfy.

As I was leaving the world of consciousness, I felt a pair of lips touch my cheek as well as Carson’s voice, “Sweet dreams Cutie.” That was the last thing I heard before I passed out cuddled up on my boyfriend’s lap.

Sorry about the short chapter but that’s all that I could write in this chapter without making it drag on and becoming a bore. I promise next chapter will be longer.
