Naruto's POV
I enjoyed my chat with Shikamaru but he had to get back to work about ten minutes after he sat down. I just finished my meal and I headed towards the door when I try to push it open but someone on the other side was pushing it open too.

I stop and back up when the door opens to show a pale man with dark hair. He just walks past me and I walk outside when I walk the way back to my house.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket so I pull it out seeing a message from my mom and one from an old friend.

Mom:
Where are you?!

Sai:
Hey! I'm in town and was hoping to hang out.

I smile as I call Sai instead of texting back. He doesn't answer the first time I call so I try again. This time he answers after the second ring.

"Hey." Sai says cheerfully.

"Hey. I just got your message."

"I noticed. Meet me by our old school and I'll come pick you up. We can go to the movies."

"Okay."

After that I hang up and start walking towards the school. I put my hands in the pockets of my running shorts which I forgot I was wearing.

"I should change first." I think to myself.

The school isn't to far from my house so I start running home. When I get there my moms car is gone. I sigh with relief as I go inside.

I go up to my room and change in to a pair of black jeans, an orange shirt, and some black shoes. After I do that I run out of the house and to the school.

When I get there I see Sai leaning against his car. He is looking down at a notebook. Of course he's drawing. I walk up to him as his eyes shift from the notebook to me.

A smile plasters on his face as he throws the notebook on the drivers seat. I smile as I walk up to him and we bro hug.

"It's been to long." He says first.

"It really has. I mean you've gotten taller." I reply.

We get in the car and he drives towards the movie theatre. I have my window rolled down as the window blows on my face. My hair blows back like crazy as I rest my chin on my hand.

-At the movies-

Sai pulled into the parking lot of the movie theatre. After he parked and turned off the car we both get out. I walk around the car to join Sai.

We start walking to the front doors of the theatre. Once we get there Sai picks our movie but I pay for our tickets before he can. I grab our tickets and we walk inside.

We walk over to the line to get popcorn and I see the same boy with the black hair and pale skin from the restaurant earlier. He's talking to a man taller than him. He has black hair that's pulled back into a low ponytail.

"Hey!" Sai says while waving a hand in front of my face.

"S-Sorry. What's up?" I ask as I avert my attention to Sai.

"I got our stuff. Let's go."

I see the popcorn in his hand and I take it. I also take my drink as I follow Sai to our movie. When we get inside we take a seat in the back.

-After the movie-

After the movie is over Sai and I start walking out of the theatre. I throw my pop and popcorn away once I finish it. I follow Sai to his car.

He starts the car and starts to drive towards my house. He turns the music up and starts singing along. I just stare out the window again. I watch as the trees pass by along with giant houses.

The wind blowing on my skin makes things feel better. I close my eyes as I enjoy the breeze. When I feel the car stop I open my eyes to see my house.

"Thanks for the ride home." I say as I look over to Sai.

"No problem."

"Did you ever get with Ino? I know you had a crush on her in high school?" I ask suddenly.

"No. She said she would be around when I got back from art school so I'll have to go see her sometime soon."

"Yeah you should."

"Well I'll see you around Naruto."

"Okay, bye." I say while getting out of the car.

I walk in my house as I close the door I hear a pan hit the counter. My mother rounds the corner looking furious. I scratch my neck nervously.

"Where have you been?! We gave you a phone to answer our calls or texts!" She yells.

"I was with a friend." I say sadly even though he really wasn't much of a friend.

I mean we barely talked the whole time we were together. Sai was just a guy who had classes with me in high school. He usually kept to himself and just sat a desk drawing.

"Oh! Did you have fun?" She asks with a big smile.

"Yeah." I lie.

I plaster on a fake smile and she hugs me tightly. I can smell flour in her hair from cooking in the kitchen. She pulls away and smiles even wider.

"I'm glad your making friends." She says before walking back to the kitchen.

"Except I'm not." I think to myself.

I go upstairs to my room and I lay on my bed. I close my eyes until I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I sigh when my door opens and I look over to see my mother holding a plate of cookies and brownies.

"What's that for?" I ask softly.

"Our new neighbors. They have a boy about your age. Go say hi." She says while holding out the plate.

"Do I have too?"

"Yes."

I get up and I go over to my mom and take the plate. I walk downstairs with the food. I leave the house and I walk over and knock on the door. After a while the door opens revealing a boy with a leather coat on even though it's like a hundred degrees.

He has a little bite dog by his side and he leans against the door frame. I hold out the plate and he takes it. But after he gives me a question look when two figures join his side, probably his mom and dad.

"My family wanted to welcome you to our neighborhood. We live right next door. I'm Naruto Uzumaki. My mom is Kushina and my dad is Minato." I say and his dad's eyes widen.

"Your father is Minato Namikaze?!"

"Yeah why?" I ask a little annoyed.

"I bought one of his cars. I'd love to meet him!" He says with excitement.

"He's at work. Should be home around nine. He has a lot of paperwork at the office."

"Okay!"

After that I awkwardly nod my he's then leave. I go back over to my house and my mom stands there waiting for me.

"Well!?" She says loudly.

"They loved them. They like dad too. Bought one of his cars." I say while going around her to the stairs.

"Oh."

"Yeah they wanna meet him so expect a visit from them." I say before going upstairs.

I go in my room and lay down on my bed. I let my eyes close as I slowly drift off to sleep. Ignoring the sound of my dads car pulling in the driveway minutes later.
